    Our party of 9 had a lovely Saturday brunch at Sea Salt. The service was attentive but not at all intrusive. All of our meals were delicious and we tasted quite a few. Among the 9 of us, we had 3 eggs Benedict (2 with salmon & 1 with spinach), 2 hamburgers, 2 greek omelets, 1 waffles, and 1 pancakes. The poached eggs had fluffy whites with runny yolks - perfect! The restaurant was charming, modern, and welcoming. The location is great - an easy walk to just about anything. I highly recommend Sea Salt and I hope I have another opportunity to dine there again!

    We were excited to try this restaurant as we had heard good things, but we’re disappointed by the experience We ordered the Shepherds salad, which had very little taste, the scallops , which were over cooked and hard and sitting over an insipid risotto, kofte that were mediocre and a seafood pasta that turned out to be too spicy. The branzino and the lemon potatoes passed the test. Wound.not go back

    I took a team of 12 to eat here. They did not want a place that was loud and this place felt like a hidden gem. We could hear each other talking and the food was amazing!!! I got so many compliments by finding this place. We will certainly revisit if we are ever back in town!! Great for a meeting diner!!

    I read in other reviews that portions were large enough to share. Maybe they’ve changed that. The portions were ok but not large. I ordered the char grilled octopus & it came as a stew. Branzino was good. Seafood pasta was ok.

    The lamb chops were less plump than I had hoped. The Brandon was just fine and the three spreads were also fine. I also liked the Greek Salad which I have had on many occasions here. Overall this is a fine place if you live in the neighborhood but I prefer Korali (on 93rd and 3rd) if you are interested in a more exciting Greek restaurant. Also there is a Greek Restaurant on 14th and 1st , Taverna Kyclades, that is relatively inexpensive and great. I had high hopes for this restaurant when it moved into the neighborhood and invited my cousin. I ended up being disappointed because the spreads and Bronzino were nothing outstanding (but OK) , the salad was very good but the lamb chops were a disappointment and that was what I suggested my cousin order.

    Sea Salt did not disappoint. They have delicious drinks and tasty food. The octopus appetizer was fantastic. The entree portions are large and perfect to share. Service was great as well.

    It was quiet, food was good. Our waiter was very attentive but as the afternoon progressed he became busy. It was a cool restaurant but don’t think we would go back. Also, they didn’t explain their happy hour menu.

    I've been to Sea Salt a number of times. In the evening, there tends to be a young crowd, so a bit noisy for an old lady's taste, but not intolerable. The food is delicious, but fair warning, the mains are big enough for two or even more if you get appetizers too. At lunch time, it was quiet and there was a prix fixe menu, too much food for me at lunch, but some nice dishes, a little unusual but not too unusual. The restaurant it replaced, Tiella, was a favorite of mine, but I'm much consoled by Sea Salt.

    Came for an early 5pm reservation. Super cute location and very quiet. We had the restaurant to ourselves aside from two other patrons. We ordered calamari, mussels, burrata salad, scallops with squid ink risotto, creamy mushroom pasta and lavender handsoap cocktail. All were fabulous! Unfortunately, we were brought the seafood pasta in error rather than the chicken pasta. The server did not acknowledge the error, nor did he check on us while we waited for the correct entree (about 20 mins). In addition, the drink we ordered while waiting never came. One of the other employees must have noticed and was kind enough to bring us a complimentary dessert, however we would have just preferred to have had the correct entree and beverage. I found this particularly unacceptable as there were no other patrons in the entire restaurant at this point. Overall, service lacking however the ambiance and food were fab.

    Creative Greek food. No surprises until desert. We asked for yoghurt with honey and cherries (every Greek restaurant has it on the menu). The waiter said that they don’t have it on the menu. I asked him to tell the chef how disappointed we were. Almost immediately the manager came out with the most amazing yoghurt desert. Scoops of yoghurt topped with honey and crushed baklava and pieces of baklava. We loved it. It topped our meal. We will be back.

    The wine and appetizers were good but when our entrees arrived one of the lamb shanks was frozen in the middle. They took it back and when it returned it was scalding outside and still cold inside. They did not rewarm the side of potatoes so that was also cold. After all this they didn’t even take it off the bill Or offer any solution. I’d pass on this one, we won’t be back.

    Great food and service! Spanakopita, scallops, octopus, and vegetable moussaka were all excellently executed. They have alcoholic and non-alcoholic options for their cocktails which is great if you are a non-drinker. Service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommend!

    The food alone would warrant a return. However, the service was dreadful. We waited about 20 min to have our orders taken, another 15 min to get our drinks (only after my gf made eye contact with one of the 4 or 5 men standing around doing nothing), then bread served about 45 min in, THEN our app, entrees, and side all at once, not really fitting on the table (and more bread offered once my meal was CLEARLY finished). Two tables of more people ordering more items arrived after us, and departed well before us. One waiter apologized and offered to comp dessert, but we never saw him again, and decided to cut our losses paying full price PLUS the lovely 3% premium for, God forbid, using a credit card in a restaurant in NYC in 2023. In THIS CITY, this level of service will ensure a quick closing of this establishment. A shame, as the food is more than serviceable. We will not be returning.

    First time trying out Sea Salt and it was great! Loved the mussels, lamb chops, greek chips and they had reasonable prices. We would definitely go back! Service was fantastic as well! A+++

    I RARELY write reviews, but I had to, I'm giving Sea Salt their flowers. I made the reservation for my boyfriend's birthday. The decor was just as nice as in person as it was in the photos. The food was PHENONOMENAL! Everything was spot on, not one complaint...not one qualifier. We ordered the Eggplant/Zucchini Chips, Calamari, Chargrilled Octopus, and the Ribeye. The Octopus melts in your mouth, it was so good. The service was top notch, staff was wonderful. They treated every customer like royalty. (I was a customer service manager for 11 years, I'm picky!). They sang happy birthday to my boyfriend as I requested in the reservation(he totally hates that, but I like to push the envelope lol) We both have very discerning palates, as I'm actually a chef myself. Sea Salt is a yes. We're already plotting our return.

    This is a good option just out of the main tourist areas. We had early reservations and the place filled up before we left on a holiday weekend. The lamb and chicken kabobs - two separate entrees- were flavorful and plentiful. A nice size side sala accompanied. Fresh bread rounded it out.

    Sea salt was nice. Nothing particularly special but good food and a quiet nothing-special restaurant and neighborhood. The zucchini and eggplant chip’s appetizer was really good and other had wraps and kabob platters. All good. Waiter bamboozled me when he asked me if I wanted sparkling or still water and didn’t offer tap water. So I said still thinking that was tap and ended up getting charged almost $10 for a bottle of still water. Same waiter also tried to convince my daughter to get grilled shrimp (more money) instead of grilled chicken on her salad. They did give us a complimentary dessert which was nice. Overall pretty good.

    We went to this restaurant after it was recommended by a friend. We had high expectations and were disappointed. We had ordered the zucchini and eggplant chips as a starter and 2 mains. After quite a long wait the mains came out. We explained that we wanted the chips first and received some explanation about the computer not working correctly. We requested that the mains be freshly prepared and not just keep warm. The chips were okay, not great, too greasy and as we got further down on the pile the coatings were stuck together. The accompanying yogurt sauce was excellent. When the mains arrived they were okay, not great. The salmon was not that tasty, a bit dry on the outside though the inside was fine, the cauliflower purée was good, but there was only about a tablespoon of it in a tiny condiment cup on the side of the plate. The lentils under the salmon were also on the dry side and while okay, could have been much tastier. Not sure if the kitchen was having a bad night or the dish was in fact just kept warm while we ate our chips. My companion’s “meat ball” dish was ok, nothing special and not meat balls, but flat patties. My companion requested a substitute for the accompanying salad and was told they were too busy to make any substitutions. The servers were extremely nice, but the restaurant seemed to be very understaffed. The prices are high for what you get. The portions were generous, but the food was somewhere between ok and good, but not great. It’s nice to have a variety of eateries in the neighborhood so I’m hoping they were just having a bad night and things improve.
