The overall experience was good here however not the best meal we’ve had in Burlingame. We had reservations for 8:00 but were not seated until ~8:30. We waited at the bar and the bartender was super pleasant and the cocktails were delicious. The calamari dish was nice and the toffee bread cake with gelato was nice. We had the NY steak, requested for medium rare charred, and sadly it came very under cooked. My husband felt horrible the next day. I would recommend this restaurant but not the steak.
It was a little frustrating that we had to wait another 15 minutes for a table, even though we booked inside we were offered outside immediately. It was a chilly night and the only table they would give us was one right near the door. Food was average, but the area of town was cool

The kitchen and waitstaff were slammed when we visited; service was chaotic and the food was quite slow. Either of of these matters might’ve been overlooked if the food was fabulous, but it didn’t really meet the quality standards of other pasta places in town.
We started with a clams and mussels app that was OK. The clams were plump and lovely, but the tomato sauce was unexpectedly thick and the mussels were puny and overcooked.
I ordered the pappardelle with braised beef and my bae ordered penne with chicken. They turned out to be identical dishes with different noodles and protein. Huh. Both were in a tomato cream sauce with sun-dried tomatoes, peas, and... corn. The veggies were out of season and kind of mystifying.

Food was delicious. I had the sea bass and my husband had the NY strip. Both were very good and had a lot of flavor. The service was also very attentive. My biggest complaint is that the wine pour for a $15/glass wine was VERY small. Both of us had different glasses of wine and it was the same. We go to a lot of restaurants and that was the least amount we have ever seen for a wine glass. Next time, we will just order a bottle and take the test home.
The steak was good and flavorful. The salmon was also excellent
We had such a wonderful meal there. One of the appetizers we tried was the Gnocchi in a creamy gorgonzola sauce. So delicious. I enjoyed the beet salad with a grainy mustard dressing outstanding. Not over dressed at all and all the components were fresh and well balanced. My husband had a NY steak with the truffle mushroom risotto (wow!) The steak was superb but that risotto stood on its own. Don't sleep on it. Rich, creamy and so flavorful yet the truffle taste was done with an expert hand as not to be over the top. For dessert we had a delicous sticky toffee pudding very well done.
Overall we really enjoyed our dining experience. We sat outside at our insistence and their outdoor dining coverage is pretty good. We froze but not due to any fault of the
restaurant's. They provided multiple heating lamps and had an outdoor structure built. It was just really windy that evening. The food was good. I had lamb shank with gnocchi and brussel sprouts. The lamb was a little tough but good and the gnocchi, brussel sprouts and sauce were excellent. I shared a basic salad and a side order of fried brussel sprouts both of which were excellent. All the portions were good. My dessert of sticky pudding and gelato was very tasty, though I wondered if one of the other desserts may have been better. The service was excellent. Everyone was very pleasant, cheerful and accommodating. We will definitely return.

The restaurant website has a 20% happy new year promotion logo. I asked the wait staff if it was applicable, the answer was,” we have no idea.” It seems to me that either the 20% should be honored or removed from the website.
I loved the ambience , food and customer service . We were there for Valentine Day and I was glad we had inside dining and not freezing in the cold

It was a great place to go! Wanted to go somewhere nice before everything locked down for a month. Everything was so good! Will definitely go back once we can.
Eating outside in the rain wasn’t the best experience, but probably the best it can be given the circumstances. Great food and attentive service.

Amazing food. Place was packed when we arrive. Service was little slow but food was very good. Highly recommend their Mediterranean Sea bass and truffle mushroom risotto. Sticky toffee pudding was to die for. Overall was pleasant experience.
Yummy! Amazing American-Italian food in Burlingame. We shared ribeye steak and black pepper fettuccine pasta both were amazing. Service was friendly and charming. We are coming back for sure.
I’ve been here a few times. This last time, was not as good. It was a chilly night.
Their Brussel sprouts are really delicious, but tonight they were tough and cooked with the stalks included.
The mussels were very large, and if you like that, then these are for you.
We had a beet salad with chicken on it, that was good.
The K J p. noir is a bit pricy @16$ a glass.
I’ve had their cocktails and they are very good.
I’d say maybe this was an off night for them.
The service is always attentive!
The food quality was significantly worse than the last time. The service was great. I hope they will make the food better in the future.
Delicious and wonderful service
We had a bad experience here on 11/6/20 for two reasons:
1) The restaurant wanted to seat a party of 4 next to us on the outdoor patio. This would have been fine, but they wanted to add a table to another table next to us which would violate the 6ft social distancing requirement. They didn’t ask us about this, but we pointed this out when we saw them adding the table, and after we explained our concern they relented. However, they proceeded to do the same thing to a different set of tables, putting two separate customers 2ft apart.
2) The food was very underwhelming- we ordered the bruschetta, the cioppino and a filet mignon. The bruschetta was completely soggy, the cioppino tasted off and watered down, and we’re pretty sure the cold filet we were served was not a filet.
All in all, we were super disappointed and will probably not return.
Great service and food.
First time at Saltyard. We were a party of 7 and not one person left a crumb on their plate. Food was delicious and let me tell you about their cocktails...they were to die for. Highly recommend this spot for a special occasion or date night!

We went here for a birthday celebration. The service was not great. I think they could of been under staffed. Couple people ordered the steak which was not really a filet, was tough. One piece actually had a bone in it. We had to keep asking for things I heard this place was really good but this experience was not. Just needs a little TLC!

Friday nite drinks & dinner al fresco with friends! Love the new outdoor set up with twinkly lights! Parperdelle was an excellent fall meal with plenty to share. Burrata was super fresh & delish.

COVID TIMES: outside seating, comfortable and clean. service was outstanding, kind and friendly. food was delicious...nice Friday early evening dinner!
I chose this restaurant for its proximity to SFO. The food was mediocre. We started with the burrata appetizer which came out as a good sized portion of burrata over arugula with 2 small crostini’s. It felt like they hadn’t really thought this through and immediately asked for more crostini. For our entree we both ordered the filet cooked medium. It came out as 4 medallions which were over cooked and tough. On multiple occasions when our server was at the table he did not remove any empty glasses or our appetizer plates. When the entrees were delivered my guest and I had to clear everything so the food could be set down.
I had a margarita which was good but small, then a glass of wine which was a generous pour. My guest had 2 cocktails which he enjoyed. For $150 dinner I expect a lot more of both the food and the service.
Excellent food and the service was spectacular. Went for a business dinner and the staff went above and beyond. Would definitely eat here again.
Food is delicious and the indoor seating is very good with all social distancing in place. The service is excellent as well.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here on October 6, we had wonderful service and a great meal, for starters we shared the salt yard mixed green, it was so light and refreshing. We don't often order lamb, but, interestingly we both did. I had the lamb with potato gnocchi and mushroom sauce, my husband had the braised lamb risotto with spinach, mushrooms and au jus. We couldn't decide which was better, they were both great. Lamb so tender and flavorful, gnocchi and risotto cooked to perfection. They brought us out a complimentary slice of cheesecake with congratulations beautifully done on the plate. Perfect evening, can't wait to go back.
The food was really excellent everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. The service was poor. Not sure if because of covid The restaurant is understaffed but it was disappointing.
