The food was delicious and they even had a gluten free pasta that could be substituted into some of the pasta dishes.
We are regulars!! Love their food and the staff is so friendly!
Took my family for the first time and they loved it! Various vegetarian options available and you can even get the dishes without meat. Our waiter was very caring and wished my brother a happy birthday and the dishes were brought out in a timely manner. We ordered the asparagus, gnocchi in pesto sauce , and the pumpkin stuffed ravioli- and everything was delicious. Also got the tiramisu and bread pudding. Definitely my favorite Italian place in Chicago.
Exceptional food, cocktails, and service. Thank you, Anthony and Ricardo!
Always a great experience. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in Chicago. Great food. Great service. We can't wait to go back.
We've been going to Sapori since 2005! Always delicious with excellent service.
Great waiter. Very attentive knowledgeable and informative.
Fabulous as ever. One of favorite neighborhood resturants.
Great neighborhood spot in Lincoln Park. Lasagna was enough to share and delicious! Will go back!
This place is great. Highly recommended. The portions are big which is nice! The pasta is amazing and I love the personal touch of them sending cards for your birthday and 1/2 birthday. This is a great meal and I highly recommend it!
Always friendly, good service and dependably good food in ample portions. The establishment is rather plain in appearance without much atmosphere. Sometimes the neighboring tables are a bit close and can get noisy. But the value is terrific. Good food at reasonable prices and good services brings us back often.
Love this place. It’s perfect for date night!
Great place for our family dinner!
Thank you, we truly appreciate your kindness and are happy you chose to have a family dinner at Sapori!
Portions are massive and food is always delicious. They also offer GF options, as well as GF pasta, and the servers are knowledgeable about GF options/menu.
Thank you so much for the 5-star review! We take our guests' requests seriously and are happy to serve gluten free options. We hope to see you again!
Food was very good. Portions were also big. Service was great. Would definitely recommend and go back.
Thank you for recommending Sapori and leaving a great review. We truly appreciate it! With appreciation, Sapori Trattoria, your neighborhood restaurant
It was our first time Visiting this restaurant, and we were blown away by the amazingly delicious Italian food. We will definitely return. You must have a reservation, on the weekends. They get very busy and turn the tables a couple times in the evening. We absolutely loved it
I'm glad to hear your first visit to Sapori turned out well. We do get busy on the weekends, so reservations are definitely preferred. Walk-ins are also always welcome but might end in longer wait times. Thank you so much for the kind review!
Above and beyond. In a class of its own. You haven’t had good Italian until you’ve been here. This was our neighborhood favorite , now it’s our can’t miss when we’re in town. And this is coming from a half-Italian who randomly makes homemade pasta on a weeknight.
This right here is the ultimate compliment! Thank you so much, and I am so glad to hear our fresh homemade pasta competes with yours. We hope to see you again when you're in Chicago.
The team at Sapori went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Can't wait to go back!
We are so happy to hear you had a great dinner at Sapori. Thank you for taking the time to review us and we hope to be there for your next celebrations!
A quaint restaurant in the Lincoln Park area. Great food and service. Would eat there again.
Very busy night that seemed to calm down towards the end of our meal. Got our order in quickly. Always great food!
We love celebrating special occasions at Sapori. The food is delicious and it’s always fresh with portions that yield leftovers.
Amazing service and food! They helped make my husband’s birthday very special!
Absolutely excellent restaurant for any kind of occasion. Delicious food, warm and friendly atmosphere, excellent service!
Went for my bday dinner and the service was very slow. They seemed to be very short staffed and also it was SOOO hot in the restaurant we were all sweating. The second we paid we ran outside to get fresh air. It was way too warm outside to not have the a/c on in a restaurant full of warm bodies.
This was the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to in Chicago. I brought my Italian family and we were all thrilled with the service and the food. Even eating the left overs I could not believe how good they were. I already can’t want to go back.
lasagna is the best..would love to order new things but just cannot pass up the lasagne...the salads are great and the minestrone is decadently delicious!!! my husband is gluten intolerant...many items accomodate this allergy and their gluten free pasta is excellent
Very good in all respects. 10.00 corkage 👍
A bit noisy, but fun.
The food was excellent and the staff friendly and accommodating. Portions were large and several of us took home part of our meal and enjoyed it the next day! Would go back again for sure.
The food was exceptional! The food was exquisite and so tasty. We had the calamari Fritti, lobster ravioli, ribs and the pumpkin appetizer. Everything was so delicious! We also had the pumpkin martini which was so good! The service was great, but the negative was that I made a reservation for 7:30 pm and when I got there they told me I needed to wait 20mins, we didn’t get seated until 8:30pm. What’s the point on making a reservation? I should’ve just walked in.
Incredible meal while visiting Chicago—impeccable service, to-die-floor food; and an unavoidable vibe of authenticity. Highly recommend!
Very authentic Italian food. Staff is very friendly. Ricardo is always very welcoming an attentive. Definitely a must-try if you like Italian.
Nice but slow service
Sapori never disappoints. Great food, reasonable prices and a fantastic place to spend time with people you love
Service was a bit slow but the food was phenomenal! Huge portions and delicious pasta.
The service was amazing - the restaurant was very crowded but the staff was super attentive. The food was delicious - our table ordered a huge variety of food, and it was all superb!
Outstanding meal and service. We started with the seasonal appetizer. A small pumpkin filled with mild Italian sausage and herbs with carmelized nuts on the side. Very tasty and presentable. Stella salad with honey mustard was wonderful and portion so generous we split it. We followed that with their osso buco which was served over lasagna. The meat was very tender! Wish we had room for dessert because we’re sure it would have been amazing.
This is a great place. Go here. Fantastic food. Can't recommend it enough.
My guest, the birthday girl, commented on the lack of decor . We sat in one of the small rooms because they were ready for big groups in the main rooms. The room was grey...nothing on the walls, nothing on the tables...drab...and despite the fact that in my reservation I had stated that it was a birthday celebration that fact was totally ignored. I had the Osso Buco as in previous occasions and this time it was different...runny pasta under the meat (not the mini lasagna as stated in the menu). She had a sea food/spaghetti dish ... the spaghetti had very little sauce (she barely ate it). Maybe it was a very busy night for the kitchen...service was good. The burrata appetizer was good.
I booked a table for 5 for my mother’s 60th birthday dinner and was so impressed when they called to ask her name, so that they could print special menu’s. The appetizers and pasta were very good and fresh. Unfortunately, our server was overtly rude, in particular to my mom, and not very well trained. Notably, all of us at the table have worked in the service industry for years and we are very mindful of all that waiters have going on and all they have to deal with. This waiter kept spilling water from the water pitcher all over our appetizers, and had no idea that he was doing it. The plate of bruschetta had an actual puddle at the bottom of it. He kept reaching over everyone’s food and bodies to refill water glasses, until we eventually pointed out the mess and he was obviously offended by our bringing it up. He raced away in a huff. Separately, 3 other tables were there for a birthday and were brought a tiramisu dish with a candle accompanied by song. We waited and waited after our dinner plates had been cleared away until he finally brought the celebratory tiramisu, but dropped it off in a brisk silence with no candle. He knew it was a 60th birthday, he started the meal initially by wishing her a happy birthday. We caught his eye a couple minutes later and asked for a candle, so we could sing to my mom — he was visibly and audibly furious. We were shocked and the evening was tainted by this profoundly disappointing service on an evening that had the makings of an otherwise enjoyable night. All because we asked him to please not spill puddles of water onto our appetizers....
