Scott's Seafood - Oakland
There was a noticeable odor of creosote at our table. It really detracted from our enjoyment of our dinner. In fact it gave me a headache.
Enjoyed a wonderful Sunday birthday brunch with friends. Will definitely come back! For my birthday I was treated to a picture, long stem rose and sorbet desert courtesy of Scott’s.
Love this spot! Try the brunch for a real treat, I will definitely be back
A lovely dinner - and a surprise birthday dessert and rose!
The food was mediocre and overpriced. The ambiance was nice and sitting on the patio watching the sunset was nice. I would not recommend because I would not want to pay high dollar for mediocre food.
Everyone was very nice. The issue was poor service and mediocre food for the price.
I had an anniversary lunch with my wife. She ordered the halibut cheek and I had the seafood sauté. Both dishes were amazing. We were happy. Then, to our surprise, the hostess and the server came with a dessert, a rose in an elegant box, and a camera to take a picture (with print). We were thrilled. Overall, a memorable experience that deserves 10 stars!
We celebrated the engagement of our daughter and the staff were so nice and incredibly generous to our party of 6 plus child in a high chair. A complimentary dessert and bottle of champagne were given to the happy couple. The food was delicious and plentiful. Scott's is the best!
Few if any vegetarian/vegan options. Had to ask repeatedly for coffee refill.
I've been to Scott's a few times before on business functions and dinner. This was the first time I brought my family as we were celebrating my son's birthday. My wife and two sons loved the food, ambiance and the view. We had a great time. Thank you.
The service (esp. JADE) was superior, the mimosas kept flowing. The buffet was the best I've had--the variety of brunch selections was terrific and warm! We (I) celebrated a birthday and the sorbet was a perfect finish to marvelous celebration. And I have a photo to remind me of a great day! Thank you😊
The wait staff were excellent. Our food was perfect. The drinks and dessert were delicious.
Overall a very mediocre experience. Greeting at reception brusque, tiny table near busy thoroughfare although nicer tables available. Waiter asked for order immediately upon sitting and then took a long time to come back since we hadn’t even had time to look at the menu. Almost no interaction with us. Entree served while we were still eating salad, with no apologies or concerns. The New England clambake in a broth was tasteless. You couldn’t tell a shrimp from a scallop from a fish. All over cooked with no seasoning. Everything noisy, rushed and overpriced for lousy food. Would never return. It used to be much better. Only good thing was the view. It’s time has come and gone.
Really made our anniversary special the evening ended very memorably thanks to the special touches
Like picture, rose, sparkling wine & ab amazingly presented simple sorbet.
The food was delicious and the glass of wine was the most generous amount in a buy by the glass format I've experienced. A reasonable price for what was offered. The food was first quality and our server Inga totally rocked. She even was able to guess what we'd order.
Service was slow and the food was good but not outstanding. Price didn’t meet the expectation.
We had the best attentive waitress who made sure we got our entrees in a timely manner as we were in a hurry to get to a show.
Great late night spot for dinner. Convenient stop over to or from the airport
So yummy!!! A special brunch treat for a special occasion.
Staff was great. Food was great except for one miss. The lobster was over cooked. Otherwise perfect.
The food and service are always great at Scott’s. This visit was no exception. The table next to us was loud which made our conversation more difficult but they were just having a good time.
My husband and I have enjoyed Scott's for many years. I also go there with a girlfriend when we are due for a lunch to catch up. It is a "go to" place for elegance, outstanding food, and kind, attentive service. My husband and I were there on Sunday for the brunch, always outstanding. We didn't want to leave, but, alas, we were full. We joked this morning that we wished we could have stayed all day: gaze out the window, watch the boats and their passengers come and go, watch the people inside and outside the restaurant, until it was dinner time. "Oh my, how time flies. It is now time for dinner". We were exceptionally pleased with Scott's; we always are.

Great food enjoyed the selections on the menu.
I changed my table to outdoors since the day was beautiful. The wait service was superb! The food was excellent and the value was reasonable. I was celebrating my birthday with my guy. Everything was perfect.
We love this restaurant....we tried the Halibut Cheeks which were amazing,...also tried the crab Avacado salad which was delicious....plan to return soon.....Lovely setting on the water watching the boats sail by.
Our server was phenomenal, the food was delicious and the staff in general were fantastic. We went to celebrate a birthday and they gave her a rose and sweet treat as well as a picture to remember the occasion. I love the food here and am rarely disappointed. The mashed potatoes are to die for, and the seafood salad is delicious. The prices are fairly high, $30-$70 a person, so we only come here 3 or 4 times a year and usually in smaller numbers but I think this will be an annual treat for my lady’s birthday.
During the summer they have different monthly specials. September is Pacific Coast Festival Menu. The Pacific Seafood Pasta was excellent. Prawns, mussels and clams, with a hint of garlic. Will go back in October for the Old Fashioned Clam bake!
Great food, great presentation, great atmosphere, great service. What more can you ask for. Perfect way to spend my dad’s birthday. Everyone enjoyed the dinner. We will be back.
First off - it was hard to believe that two salads, one appetizer and a couple of glasses of wine cost us $100. Prices have increased about 20% and the quality of the food has gone downhill . The pear walnut salad was ok. Although The leaves for the Romaine salad were crisp as usual, The treat was spoiled by the watery, thin, runny dressing. It was not the usual thick tasty dressing with chunks of blue cheese. They exchanged it for a new salad and ‘better’ dressing but was still not up to par. The calamari was not tender per the usual. It was tough. Too bad this icon has lost its touch!
Scott's experience was one to remember! Everyone from the hostess, to the waitress to even management who came over and personally extended a great welcome and 'Happy Birthday' to my mom (as we were celebrating her 76th Birthday)!
Everyone in our party commented on the great service, great food, and overall great experience. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to Scott's Seafood!
The Colenburg Family
The brunch food offerings were tasty, but the whole thing is way overpriced if you're not drinking much champagne. We were not offered a non-alcoholic option. It was a little hard to serve yourself some things, as their tongs aren't flexible enough to grasp small or thin items. The jazz band that played during brunch was only so-so.
We had a wonderful time but a little disturbed that the gratuity was included.
My family wanted to treat ourselves to a nice brunch away of the usual Father’s Day crowd. We had a wonderful time. The food is great. The music is nice . The staff make my family and I feel so well cared for during our visit.
Tired. What once might have been a "destination" restaurant sorely needs a re-do. The place is 1980 in a time capsule. I went for the sand dabs, but I guess they were not in season. I ordered the crab cake entree, which was four crab cakes on a bed of rice. They were largely tasteless. They do have a good list of wines by the glass. Otherwise, no reason to recommend this place.
This is our second time at your restaurant. The food , the view was wonderful
Saturday 11am lunch. Lovely view of the crystal clear day from our table next to the window. Fresh & delicious salads , prompt & friendly service. Looking forward to going back soon.
Great food and service!
I have noticed the aroma of gasoline at the window seats at Scott's on more than one occasion. Scott's needs to address this issue. No one wants to smell gasoline, when they sit down to what they expect to be an exceptionally tasty dinner.
Great service. Great place to celebrate Birthday or special occasions.
