My wife and I went here for our wedding anniversary. Everything about it was perfect.
Excellent experience, delicious food (farm fresh, creatively prepared, melts in your mouth delicious), nice atmosphere, highly recommend!
Everything was divine. Clients loved it. Service was on par with the amazing food. Two thumbs up.
Intimate space and good service. Quality of food did not meet my expectations of “farm to table” fresh. The salad tasted like it was prepared in the early afternoon and then stored in the back of the fridge for many hours. Pasta was ok but uninspired. Coffee was burnt.
One of our San Francisco favorites. The food is fabulous as is the service. They make you feel incredibly welcome. Don’t even think about trying to go without a reservation!
I booked a weekend in San Francisco in preparation of my niece's visit. She loves Italian Food and I had been to Seven Hills previously. She and I thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, the service and most importantly the food. She is 22 and was not sure of the uniqueness of the appetizers and entrees. She loved all that she ordered! Thank you Seven Hills for not disappointing me.
Honestly the best meal I’ve ever had in my life! Could not recommend this place more!!!!
This was our second time here. Loved the gem salad, house made pastas and the service. Would recommend to anyone who is in the mood for good Italian food in an intimate setting.
EXCELLENT SERVICE. THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. GREAT SPECIALS
Excellent! I will definitely come back. And the wine list was excellent.
Server was knowledgeable about wines and dishes. Pastas cooked aldente. Cozy neighborhood restaurant with great nightly specials. Beef tartare and squid ink pasta were two highlights
Lived up to expectations!!!
Alex, manager was a touch of class. Luis was our waiter and he was equally brilliant.
Excellent service - waiter was extremely knowledgeable, gave us strong recommendations. We had the macheroncelli which he mentioned stays on the menu as it is a classic, the agnolotti which was my personal favorite!! Panna cotta was delicious
Pasta is great here. They served us fresh burrata for an appetizer and a complimentary ricotta cheese with chives on a cracker
Pastas were fabulous. Everything is delicious
Amazing food, great specials and extensive wine menu. super friendly and quick service. Would definitely return.
Amazing Italian gem in Russian Hill and the best Italian food at the best kept secret!!! Highly recommended to everyone who is a foodie and Italian food lover!
This place is fantastic. Highly recommend.
Walking into Seven Hills is like dining in someone's private home. Alexis, the owner, is the consumate host and greets you warmly. The food and service are wonderful. This is a neighborhood gem and that you never tire of.
I'm a bit mad at myself for not trying this restaurant earlier. I saw it on Check Please and meant to try it but it's not in my neighborhood and I am less inclined to go further out and try to park.
But I'm so glad we finally went on my birthday last week.
Probably the best restaurant all around that I have been to in SF in years.
All of the food was spectacular, and our wait person was superb. We asked her to suggest the wines and she did pairings with each course, even offering half glasses which is so unexpected.
We had a burrata and tomato starter, a mixed salad that was perfectly dressed, and we shared two entrees, the truffle pasta and a salmon special. Every bite of each dish was a delight.
For dessert an affogato (ice cream with espresso poured over it). Wow!
Add up the incredible food together with the cozy, warm atmosphere, the perfect service and the quiet noise level we just found are new favorite.
The food was excellent and the service was great. My only issue is with the feeling I had of being rushed. We had a 6:30 reservation, made over a month in advance, and it was with important clients. We wanted to have a leisurely dinner with drinks and conversation, but I felt like they needed our table and that we were over staying our welcome. We ordered pre dinner drinks, starters, salads and main courses.
With its size and high profile, this is more likely my mistake and I should’ve been more thoughtful about my choice of restaurants.
I’ll go back, for sure, but not for a business/catch up dinner.
Second time at Seven Hills--did not disappoint. Those meatballs! That pasta! The cod! Delicious food, we were very happy. Cozy atmosphere, unstuffy. Fantastic!
Great little neighborhood find with fantastic food, ambiance, etc. Feels very SF.
Amazing truffle ricotta tortellini special. Pastas were perfectly cooked and our server was the perfect amount of attentive. Highly recommended.
Birthday celebration. Wait staff and concierge were gracious and welcoming.
Our food was FANTASTIC! Portions were just the right size.
I highly recommend Seven Hills.
Highly recommend Seven Hills. Homemade pasta was amazing, service outstanding, and such a pleasant experience with the host and our waitress.
Consistently my favorite restaurant in SF. Everything is outstanding. My husband ordered steak, loved it, then tried a bite of my pasta and ordered himself the same pasta as his second entree because it was that delicious. Service is just as spectacular as the food. Love Seven Hills!
Definitely the food is excellent. Fresh ingredients and we'll prepared. Otherwise ambiance and service were average.
Amazing food. Fantastic overall experience. I would recommend Seven Hills to anyone.
The food was spectacular. Really rich pastas and an excellent wine list. We especially enjoyed the truffle pasta special.
I would recommend this place with reservations. Some of us found our food was too salty otherwise it would be a four for the food. Our daughter loved her pasta but my husband's fish was overcooked. The staff were much friendlier to regulars than to us which should not happen as we are all paying the same prices.
This is just one of our favorite SF restaurants. You can taste every farm grown vegetable, chef specially selected ingredient in pasta dishes and mouth watering meat and fish entrees. The service is warm and helpful. The quaint setting makes for a perfect evening.
Reservations an absolute must, it’s always busy.
Anniversary dinner that did not disappoint. Did not inform 7 Hills of our occasion, so their high level was not skewed. The food was outstanding; every part was great. Our waiter conveyed the nature and quality of the menu without resorting to overuse of obnoxious foodie buzzwords. Just the right amount of attention. We will return and bring others.
We've been here previously and loved it, not sure what happened this evening. Reservations were for 5:30 and we were enroute. At 5:39 the restaurant phones to make sure we are still coming. We arrive at 5:41 and are immediately seated. At 5:56 we are asked if we would like anything to drink. Why rush us when you can't even take care of us?
More importantly, the food was ... bland. The Polpette were outstanding as always, but the squid ink pasta and the salmon were uninteresting, with the salmon being borderline overcooked. The charred corn on the cob was excellent, but the Romano beans were overcooked and tasteless.
As always the staff was lovely and they removed the romano beans from the bill with no issue.
We will be back, hopefully to a better experience next time.
The food was fantastic! Truffle pasta, squid ink pasta and the crispy skin salmon. My wife and I shared all 3 dishes and a very nice bottle of Pinot Noir. One of our favorite restaurants in SF.
As always a wonderful experience
Excellent food, service and ambiance!
Great!! Best truffle pasta I've ever had. A must visit!
