Showfish was a bit disappointing. Limited menu and the food and service was just average. Prices were also beyond the value received. Overall, not great.
This restaurant was highly recommended to us by a trustworthy lady! We have been coming to Montauk for years and we were very impressed with everything about Showfish - The food was interesting and not too overwhelming - The tables were lovely and private, there's a vibrant bar scene if you are looking for some fun - And the restaurant was far enough away from the bar to be very quite and lovely.
The service great .
Can't wait to come back.
Manage by a wonderful man Nick
Enjoyed the more casual off season menu
The Fish and Chips dish was supremely underwhelming for there were only two tiny slips of battered fish. For $24 I would not recommend this dish, when traditionally, such a meal is bountiful and cheap.
The acoustics are weird and it makes for a very noisy atmosphere. The service was subpar too. But we found the food to be excellent. The short rib was outstanding.
Beautiful Location . Delicious food and Cocktails. Would like to have some Tap selections.
Showfish is a Gurneys owned and operated restaurant in the Montauk Yacht Club. The location and décor are excellent. Very Montauk. If the weather permits, walk the docks before or after dinner to see some beautiful boats. Or grab a drink at the indoor or outdoor bar which are terrific. My only complaint is that it is a bit pricey. So save this for a special evening. You can almost always get a reservation here unlike some of the other restaurants in the area such as Harvest. I've been a few times and the food is always delish as is the service. I will definitely return again and again.
Honeymoon - free bottle of Moët champagne
Amazing, incredible food and service.
I will def come back!
Fabulous and unusual entres, salads and desserts. Service was attentive and there were no delays. The views looking out over the water are terrific. For my money, about the finest food in the Hamptons.
The main course were overcooked and inedible. Having a supposedly upper level quality restaurant with a large wedding going on at the same time made the food service and ambiance suffer severely.
The entres were served before we finished our cocktails. Like they were in a hurry to get us out of there. But that was not the worst part: the portions were small. Although the scallops were tasty, there were only a few stingy vegetables. Of course, it was expensive for what it was.
The staff and manager were INCREDIBLY accommodating!
We waited 40 minutes for our reserved and confirmed table being told the entire time it would just be “a few minutes”. Ok if there is an unexpected delay but just be honest and send us the bar (buy us a drink and we’re even more understanding!). No excuse to keep a party of 6 waiting hovering around the lobby for so long. BTW we then were finally seated, outside, despite asking for an inside table. Service by wait staff is good but the manager and hostess seating a nightmare.
Nick and Sophia hit it out of park
Only thing better than the 3 octopus I had
Was the friendly service ‘
Excellent. Went twice in one week. Food was amazing! Restaurant staff very accommodating.
Fantastic restaurant! Food, service and everything was superb. Ambience can’t be beat. The octopus was ephemeral. Melted in my mouth. ample portion of octopus as an appetizer. Very nice. My one reservation were the size of the entrées. My tile fish entree was a minuscule portion with nothing else on the plate except inedible leaks or ramps. My wife’s scallops portion was also minuscule although the sea scallops were nicely sized. I think she had five small sea scallops on her plate. Again, a wonderful restaurant, a wonderful dining experience but you need to be on a diet because I left hungry since none of the desserts really seem to float my boat. Wait Staff was superb and attentive.
Always feel like Open Table diners get stuck in the back, that said, table was wobbly and the response was, “yes, it’s top heavy, we need to take it to engineering” so we struggled with that all night. Service is spot on, food is very good, presentation and taste. Menu is geared heavy toward fresh caught fish, and everyone loved their meals. Table water could have been colder since they don’t use ice, and bread was delicious but skimpy. Tuna T-bone out of this world. Lovely place, in a lovely setting. Little pushy on the drinks. Definitely will return.
Food was delicious and service was impeccable, a definite most go!
excellent sea food product. Michelle le maitre d'hotel is just perfect
I had high hopes for the food. We were left unimpressed. Our 5lb lobster came out with no real flavor and a rubbery texture. Apperizers [foie gras and tuna crudo] left much to be desired. Our waitress was a pleasure though, wish I remembered her name
Very overpriced for the quality of the food
Seated at 9:30 for an 8:30 reservation even though there were empty tables. Foie Gras and scallops were good but octopus was disappointing. Service was friendly.
Went there with many expectations for a great meal. However, we were seated next to a large table of ten + with unruly kids. The prices for drinks, wine and food are at the top of the spectrum so bring a cc. Food was very good however the server was exceptionally slow. Worth the experience but not worth the wait.
Food was amazing, service was so bad I’m embarrassed for them
Expected a fine dining experience for a Saturday night dinner with another couple. Instead, encountered a staff requiring repeated requests for bread, lemon, oil, etc. Greek salads were ordered, and we were flabbergasted to see a minuscule amount of greens, and explained by the staff as their “interpretation”. Give me a break! The total dining experience overshadowed a previous fine experience. Overall not worth it.
We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation and checked in promptly. Multiple hosts and hostesses repeatedly asked us our name as if we hadn’t checked in. We were sat 30 minutes after our reservation time and received our drinks 50 minutes after our reservation time. The food was delicious when it did arrive, but the service was horrible.
Service was great. We were sat in a timely fashion. Our waitress was on point. Everything was great but the steak. Very under cooked and they were just unable to accommodate us to the way we wanted our steak. Was taken off the bill without even asking. Overall great experience.
Terrible service. Food is very good, except desserts. We ordered 2 different ones, and both were horrible.
Party of 8 ( 4 adults and 4 Kids). Seated promptly, service was great, food delicious. Enjoyed two bottles of Wine (we brought with us) $50.00 Corking fee. Location is beautiful, on the Marina with great views. Highly Recommend for Family and Couples
Spent a Tuesday evening on our Anniversary and was greeted with a congratulations. Colby, our waiter was very attentive and efficient. Food was fresh as well as delicious.....recommend the lobster & kimchi rice! Looking forward to dining again soon.
All Food awash in oil. Halibut literally swimming in it. Black bass Came out uncooked first time
Amazing every time. This place is chill and special. On the harbor. Yachts. Cocktails. Good food. Great service. Summer nights.
Lobster rice was killer
Excellent food in a lovely location by the marina. Hard not to be impressed. Service very friendly, if a little slow at times. Compared to other restaurants where you might spend the same amount of money, this is well and truly a level above in terms of quality, presentation and vibe. Highly recommended.
Beautiful location, very good food, place felt hip enough but not too noisy and didn't make us wait for table. Def would come back.
Food was awesome as always they left a few things off of our plates said they would get them but never did
Jeremy is amazing chef the food, service, and everything was great.
Overall delicious meal and lovely experience, our only criticism would be rather small portions.
