My friends and I went here last night. Every staff member was SO nice from the second we walked in the door. Our group sat outside and we very comfortable on the patio, despite it being a cold night in January. The food and drinks were excellent, and the prices were quite reasonable. I would definitely recommend and dine there again :)

They need another bartender and more servers who know what they are doing! Also our server lied to my party about comping all of our drinks (after waiting 40 mins for them and our food coming before). Only for them to be on the bill. Very disappointed.
Food is very good but I was surprised that the Benedict eggs were served without sides (fries or salad) as others restaurants do. I got a bit disappointed about this. Otherwise, the food was delicious and tasty. The staff was very nice. Covid regulations were well followed and we felt safe.

Honestly shocked that it took a global pandemic for me to head here! My small COVID-19 bubble look for safe outdoor dining spaces with heaters and this place is awesome. It was drizzling and we were covered and outside with heaters that we had to take our coats off.
The part that did not shock me was how good the food was which is in line with the Eastern Standard standards. I'm proud to say that I've tried all of their sister restaurants and truly do miss the Eastern Standard.
On top of that, our server Tony, the bartender Cassandra and Tina were awesome! We loved every minute of our experience dining with them and would highly recommend anyone and everyone who wants to have a great dining experience to head over to the Shy Bird!

We had a GREAT experience here. We tried both the rotisserie and fried chicken and both were so good. We loved the pecorino ranch sauce. Our friends liked the chicken sandwich as well.
Omg the BEST FRIES EVER!! We loved our dinner and drinks. Son loved his burger and Ranch chicken sandwich was delicious. Fried chicken needs some more slices but Polynesian sauce was finger licking good!!
The staff did a sweet birthday tribute and provided a delicious dessert. Worth a revisit and trying EVERYTHING on the menu!

This restaurant is always solid, from breakfast to dinner. The staff is really pleasant, and the heat lamps are great! I like the Shy Bird benedict and the warm veggie bowls.

Such a cute place! The service was amazing and the compliance with COVID guidlines made me feel very comfortable eating here. The food and drinks were great! Definitely would recommend this place to a friend or anyone new to the area!

Given that ShyBird is known for their chicken, I ordered a fried chicken and egg sandwich. Which is what it was. Rather lackluster presentation although the chicken was tasty. Needed some sort of sauce to "connect" the piece of chicken sitting atop a folded piece of scrambled egg on a portuguese muffin. Thought the "hot honey" was sticky rather than tasty. No sides. Maybe their dinner menu is better?
I can not say enough good things about the food, and staff. Also the cocktails are amazing. Support this awesome local spot. You will not be disappointed.
We got the chicken, which was mediocre. The texture was good, but it was somehow... just not quite what you would expect a rotisserie to be.
Cozy outdoor dining with cozy heaters and even warmer staff. This is how we are going to get through the pandemic, people. Straight up awesome food, wine list, cocktails, with the most affable and informed staff. Eating outside in mid-40* temps and feeling as comfortable as can be. Shaun, manager of Shy Bird and owner Andrew Holden, have precisely the right formula to see us through Boston winter and beyond.

First time here and we had a reservation to sit on the patio. The food is so reasonably priced and everything was very good! Felt like the staff was taking safety precautions and saw lots of yummy dishes going by us:). The design on the hot chocolates and coffee are a very nice touch! We will be back!

Checked out Shy Bird for the first time Fri night. It was a good experience and I'd consider going back. Sat on the patio. It was chilly, but it's got a number of heaters. It was busy outside...and inside despite covid. Took a while to get served, but once we did it was fine. Interesting drink and food menu, and most of it sounds appealing. Shared a couple of apps and a main. Tried a couple of cocktails. We liked it. You will too.

I've been loving Shy Bird since I first went in May! My boyfriend and I always share the SB Dunks, regardless of the main dish we get. This past week, I tried their butternut squash soup which was perfect for an outdoor meal on a fall day. We have also enjoyed the Shy Burger (&fries) & espresso martinis. Their open air set up is absolutely perfect for COVID. Even if you are seated "indoors", chances are the whole wall is open to the outside and you are getting fresh air. They also have heaters outside :)
Shy bird is amazing!!!!! The food and service are exceptional. Everyone there makes us feel like family and we love coming back every few weeks. 10/10 highly highly recommend for delicious cocktails and dishes — shout-out to Sean and Casandra! They are incredible!

Tasty food. Good drinks. Great service. Nice ambience. The flavors and seasonings were delicious. The food is slightly on the expensive end considering the specialties are chicken, but fairly priced for the location.

Great for a workday lunch and on days with good weather. Open air was perfect. Service was good not great, as was the food. The Fried Chicken and Egg sandwich was drenched in honey making it too sweet to finish. The Peach and Cucumber salad was quite nice, though the peach wasn't quite in season. When I go back I'll definitely be doing an order of the SB Dunks and the aforementioned salad.
It was fantastic. We went with the dinner for two for my boyfriend's birthday, and everything was SO delicious! They even threw in a cookie with a candle to help us celebrate.
Went here for a going away dinner. COVID protocols were on point: indoor and outdoor dining, well spaced tables. Service was excellent, as was the food. I requested an off menu cocktail and the bartender happily obliged (it was delicious).

The food wasn’t bad but the service was terrible. In these COVID times you have to make a reservation to eat anywhere, so I made one through open table for 8:45PM.
When we got to the restaurant, we were greeted and handed menus and the server left. After about 10 minutes another server came to ask us what drinks we decided on, to which we relied we’d like to put in the whole order at once. Her eyes opened up wide and she told us the kitchen was closing soon, which would’ve been nice to know before giving us the menus, or anywhere within the ten minute time span between giving us menus and coming back to take our order.
As a result, we could only order chicken from the menu, and nothing else. Which was fine, but definitely not what we wanted.
The food was good! And came pretty fast, but why allow an 8;45 reservation for dinner when the kitchen closes at 9 and can only make chicken?
After our meal, a waiter came over with two dessert menus for my partner and I, which we both thought was odd considering we were told the kitchen was closed, but nonetheless we both chose our desserts, and when the server came back we told her our orders, to which she looked exceptionally confused, and reminded us that the kitchen was closed. Why give a dessert menu if the kitchen is closed? Why allow reservations this late if you cannot accommodate the customers? Why give a dessert menu if you can’t provide any of the desserts?
Bit of an inconvenience, but the two things we ordered weren’t bad!
