The soup was tasty but the mushrooms and chickens had almost no flavor
Awesome! Bottle wine was very cheap but the quality was great!!
Very slow! It took 20 minutes to get the server to come to our table and another 30 more to get our order. They clearly need more personnel.
The food is absolutely incredible! If you hate noise or have sound sensitivity issues, best to order takeout and enjoy in a quiet place, though.
Food was good but service was pretty slow. We asked for water refills but didn't get it until we got the check. I felt bad for the staff tho since it was only 2 servers for a full and busy restaurant (even on a Sunday!). The one highlight of the meal was that we found Khao Soi, a curry noodle soup dish from Northern Thailand, and quite difficult to find in the states. We got the Massamun curry and pad Thai and meang kam. I would recommend it since there are other items on the menu that I haven't seen at other Thai restaurants. I would come back if I was in the area.
Service was slow as they were understaffed for a full restaurant. Also asked for no egg in the Padt Thai but it came with egg. Unable to get waiter's attention to correct it .
The best restaurant in Palo Alto. Affordable prices and very friendly service.
All I can really say is that it was OK; not great, just OK. Definitely Americanized Thai food.
Good place for a casual business dinner.
Excellent Thai food at a reasonable price.
Thai is our favorite food but for some reason we had never been to Siam Royal Thai. We live in Palo Alto and have walked right by it on University Ave a thousand times. I’m sorry we waited so long to go.
The food is excellent. The ambiance is kind of a laid back 60s Asian style which is nice for a very relaxed evening. No bling or distractions. Low noise factor on a Thursday evening. Prices are in the reasonable range given its located right in the middle of downtown Palo Alto.
Its a typical Thai place. Average, nothing soecial. Food is decent.
The food is good and cheap, however we waited 5 minutes before someone greeted us at the door even though there were open tables. Also, it took 15 min before someone brought us water or spoke to us at the table. The potstickers are an amazing app, and I would suggest Tom Kha soup, Yellow Curry, or Pad Thai.
Very nice personalized service and attention to children.
Good hole in the wall Thai restaurant. Food was good, but if you like spicy food specify that you want the food spicy or it will come out really mild.
My son was graduating from Stanford this weekend and we wanted to take him out for dinner. I asked him where he'd like to go the most that would have room for 8. He chose Siam Royal. I'm glad we had made reservations because it was packed. Had to wait a bit later than reserved but was well worth the wait. Excellent food great service and cheap prices. Everyone was happy with the dish they ordered.
We felt the host owners were so gracious and helpful and the food was quite good.
The dishes kept coming very fast and I had to tell them to pace it as we want to enjoy each set of dishes of the meal. And not to rush as its not lunch hour.
Delicious food, generous portions, fresh, homemade tastes
have been coming to this place for over 15 years. Love the food especially the meang-kom, chicken satay, pad-thai, salmon parang and stick rice. The food is consistent and never disappoints. Owners are always there and are very friendly. Love this place.
Very accommodating staff, appetizers were quick to be delivered but main meal was slow but it was definitely worth the wait.
This is one of the better Thai places on the peninsula, and definitely my go to place for great Thai food in Palo Alto. The menu is pretty huge and the services is quick and attentive. The food is always tasty and not too expensive either. I can't think of anything negative to say about this place.
