Love this place. The cocktails are delish! We have eaten here a number of times and it never disappoints! The pizzas are one our favorites but everything we've tried has been yummy!
Awesome food and service.
Overall very enjoyable experience. Sat outside on a great evening and had a good time.
Really enjoyed the meal and great service!
The service was great, and the drinks were amazing! The food was expensive for what you get though.
Ordered the ribeye steak. The steak was chewy and tasted like it had been microwaved. Was absolutely terrible for 65 dollars.
Had an early dinner before a show. Our waiter, Elmer, was very helpful and attentive, giving us some good recommendations. We ordered the coccoli - little popovers with prosciutto, cheese, truffle honey. These were my favorite! We decided to split the chopped salad (okay), the brick chicken diavolo (extremely tender and juicy, very tasty, but we wish that we would have tried something a little more memorable), some Brussels sprouts on the side (also tasty, but not special). For dessert, we opted for the tiramisu, which was fantastic! I don’t usually care for this dessert which often is dense and soggy, this was light and creamy and delicious! They had a lovely wine selection as well. I would return and try the pastas or pizzas.
Increíble vista. Increíble servicio. Deliciosa la comida.
I was so impressed by the food I had for dinner at Siena Tavern. I ordered the Wagyu beef meatball, charred broccoli, and baked lasagna. Every dish was served fresh and hot, and was extremely delicious! Definitely will be a returning customer.
Menu offered many fine options. Servers recommended apps and main course dishes were delicious. I will be back and recommend to my friends
The food is really good. The wine list is very extensive however very expensive.
We sat outside on the patio and had a delicious lunch! Food was amazing as always!!
Sat outside, beautiful evening, service so-so but would return.
Excellent food and service. Prices a little high which is why the 3 stars but I guess to be expected in city. Would not stop us from dining there again though when we are back in Chicago! Will definitely recommend to friends vacationing in town!!
Amazing food, service was beyond outstanding! Super knowledgeable and explained the menu and gave us suggestions. Ambiance was okay, we sat by the window and stared at the outdoor patio server station. The table was okay. Overall great experience m. We will definitely return!
Great place with great food. Reasonable prices too
The food was amazing! The waitstaff was wonderful! The Host left something to be desired. I had a reservation for 8. I tried to change the reservation to 10 more than 5 hours beforehand. I was told no, so i assumes all the reservations were book. We get there and the restaurant is empty. EMPTY.
Having gone their numerous times before, this was a disappointing visit. It started with a flat mimosa. The smoked salmon platter at $17 is not worth it at all, barely an ounce of smoked salmon, if that, with accompaniments. I ordered the grilled octopus and there was way too much balsamic vinegar and lemon juice, the octopus was swimming in it so it defeats the “grilled” preparation since it was very soggy. My friend ordered the cacio e pepe pasta and it was very wet in a cream sauce that really did not have any taste with no pecorino cheese to taste and overrun with pepper. We discussed this with one of the managers and he said he has heard it before but management is not responsive to making changes. It’s really too bad!
Love the brunch menu here! The drinks are delicious too.
We were in the city celebrating our anniversary.
Although it was stated in the reservation, it wasn’t acknowledged.
Food was good and service excellent!
Place is very energetic.
We went to celebrate our anniversary and were very satisfied with the food and service.
I went with a few co-workers for lunch. We asked for seating outside since the weather was perfect. Started off our lunch with the grilled octopus and it was tender, flavorful. We also had the Lobster Roll, Turkey Club & Lasagna. All of us were stuffed and happy. Our server could not have been more attentive. We had not been here before but will definitely be back!
It was a nice dinner. We were a two top and I felt shoved in a corner next to an even more crowded table. Kept getting bumped by the server, runner, and people getting up from the table. The food was good, our server was nice. Definitely expensive for what you’re getting.
Great service and friendly staff. But food leaves much to be desired. My halibut was dry as a bone, the carbonara pasta was over cooked and tasted bland and overly creamy. The shrimp pasta had shrimp so small we could barely find them. Too bad!
I was downtown with a group of ladies and we had a great lunch. The food is fantastic, fresh and flavorful. We had lots of people serving our big table. Loved all the suggestions for items to the. Dessert was delicious too!
All around great experience. I’ll be back.
Loved the ghoochis
Everyone was great. The atmosphere was great.
I only have a few critiques:
The lobster on the lobster roll was rubbery/over cooked.
I would have liked to see something other than ketchup served with the parm fries.
I know it’s not often that you have young ones at your restaurant, but maybe have a small alternative menu available for when you do? My ten year old loved his meal, but my six year old took one bite and was not a happy camper.
We had a reservation and asked to sit outside. We were told to wait at the bar. We ended up waiting 45 minutes (wish we would've just left). While we were waiting at the bar we overheard that the lunch menu was ended at 3- the hostess didn't come and tell us that so we ordered with the bartender since we wanted lunch. While we were waiting there were SEVEN open tables outside but yet she said she couldn't seat us yet because there were some before us--- who? Not sure. This was SUPER disappointing as I normally love this restaurant.
always the best experience. great service. great atmosphere. best drinks. best pizza/salads
The food was very underwhelming for the price. I got the pizza and it was just okay. The ambiance is great and our server was nice but would not recommend coming here to eat.
I can not express enough gratitude to the wonderful staff and our amazing waitress Kayla J. My son is 9 and a big fan of top chef Fabio. He did not get a chance to meet Fabio as he was not there but Kayla gave my son a signed card and Fabio’s cookbook- my son was so happy he started crying ! Aside from the spectacular service, the food was amazing. Our favorite dishes were the octopus appetizer, the short rib and the Carne pizza, and the meatball .... really everything was delicious but the octopus was just out of this world . It was even my sons favorite and this is a kid that less than a year ago was only eating chicken nuggets. Squid ink lobster pasta was a favorite for myself and my spouse- we love lobster and this was such an intense flavorful dish- a favorite.
To add to this amazing experience we posted to Fabio’s Instagram and he shared my sons story and replied to us - this was such an amazing highlight for my son. Thank you so much Fabio and Kayla J- and everyone at Siena Tavern.
Very positive experience with excellent food and service!
I was looking so forward to trying this restaurant but we were all so disappointed. The food was lacking flavor. I ordered the diavalo chicken and there was no hint of any spice. My husband has the paparselle and it was soft pasta with tomato paste. The black squid pasta was so over cooked and mushy. The Brussels sprouts that are flash fried were so slimy. Never had I had such awful sprouts. And to top it off we were served a cold cup of coffee and a child size gelato portions for dessert. I will never eat here again. I wish I went around the corner to El Porcellino's where the food and service is fabulous!
Father's Day and a half an hour after opening we were told "we don't have Eggs Benedict today."
The yolks of my poached eggs were hard... zero running yolk.
My medium rare plus steak was barely medium rare... red and cool inside.
Avocado toast was great.
Biscuits and gravy mediocre. As listed the biscuit was bread pudding... its texture combined with the gravy was made for a pasty combo.
Saturday night date night. We are fans of Top Chef, and of course we liked Fabio when he was on the show. Seated right away for our reservation, but the bench seating for the 2 person tables had a seam, which made it slightly uncomfortable for my wife. Also, the wall of mirrors was a tad off putting for me, watching everything happening behind. There are also not a lot of sound deadening items, so it can be a little loud if you're looking for intimate conversation. The service was good.
I had a bourbon cocktail while my SO had a mocktail, both were good. She started with the watermelon salad, which she enjoyed, while I had the tartare. I thought the beef could have been seasoned some more, but there were no shakers on the table. Nice portions for each starter.
For entrees, she had the beet salad and the tuna crudo. The crudo was excellent, and the salad, while very good, turned out to be a SALAD, as opposed to a presentation of strictly beets. Just more than she was anticipating. I had the halibut, which was fantastic. A nice play of sweet and salty with the grilled fish.
We will definitely be back.
