Silks - Crown Melbourne
Fabulous food, wine and friendly polished service. Thank-you for making our daughters favourite mocktail, Ted and the other wonderful waitress were so lovely and accommodating. Thanks for a wonderful evening, we’ll be back soon!
our return to Silks was most enjoyablr for a lunch yum cha....as we sat down thw waiter asked if we woukd like a drink and we said two glasses of champagne...they arrived before the wine list arrived....no mention by the waiter that the champagene was $36 a glass?...needless to ssy wholst ghe food was outstanding as usual 6 glasses of champagne exceeded the cost of the yum cha....lunch we had decided to indulge in...... we think a fair courteous advice of the cost shuld have been advised
Service not good，some waiters not friendly.
Reception staff were very friendly.
Were shown to our seats quickly.
Wait staff were very friendly.
Food was excellent and served at ideal intervals.
Champagne and wine were of quality.
We also personally thanked the chefs Kelvyn and Johnny for a perfect meal.
Beautiful setting for a special occassion.
However it is overpriced and whilst the food is tasty it is not worth the insane prices.
Better choices at other locations...Chinatown, Box Hill at half the price.
Beautiful restaurant lovely location .
Food not as good as previous years
The staff were very polite and accommodating with regards to our food allergies. Magnificent view. Sensational food. A wonderful experience.
-Have been a number of times for yum cha which was fairly good. Dinner unfortunately just didn't hit the spot.
-Overpriced dinner. Yum cha lunch ok.
-Chicken was cold (it didn't say it was a cold dish on the menu) which i now assume the restaurant is cooking, then reheating straight out of the fridge.
Attentive staff and excellent food.
Delicious food and great service. Will be back with more people....
Outstanding food in a nice setting.
Excellent food. Staff were amazing. Would highly recommend. The tasting menu was a great way to enjoy what Silks has to offer.
Quality of food, price, service, view. Every cent was worth it.
Ambience was luxurious, very pleasant setting to enjoy an afternoon with friends
When I walked in, ... wow!
Beautiful place, service was great.
But unfortunately the food was WAY overpriced for what it was.
The food was average and the prices doubled.
Left me feeling disappointed I lost that money.
$181.00 for me and my 7year old.😬
Excellent service, easy to have conversation, food was absolutely stunning
Exceptional customer service
While the restaurant is pricey, the Lobster was served with meat taken out of the shell and the service and scenery was fantastic!
It was a great night right from the start with a warm welcome, excellent seating and friendly waiter staff. My wife has Celiac and the waiter arranged a gluten free banquet meal modification for her...nothing was too much trouble. First class service and great food.
Very expensive for small meals. But, incredibly great food and service.
Always a lovely experience.
The menu for the buffet was plentiful and loved how some minor changes could be made but for $198 pp was a bit over the top...my beef was chewy but my partner was beautiful...the first bit of lobster looked more like a crab stick...overall nice but no cigar as they say
We had a lovely evening at Silks. The food and service were excellent and the ambiance was second to none. Would certainly recommend.
Very good over all.
Food and service was great, the only downside was the wheelchair ramp required to enter the dining area, the ramp was very steep and dangerous. I'd doubt it would be compliant with safety regulations.
The food was great, and the experience was good, but two things let it down. Paying $13.50 for a bottle of still water is ridiculous, and when everything is so expensive, having to pay a credit card fee on top of the price is insane. At that price point I believe all fees should be included.
On line booking led to a disappointing corner table at the back of the restaurant, ( there were tables with a water view overlooking the Yarra at the front of the restaurant ) which spoilt a special occasion. Service was very slow and fell away as the night progressed, consequently we had to rush a dessert order as we were told the kitchen was closing.
Staff pleasant food great and will be celebrating my 50th birthday there in March next year
Lovely venue, with great views but we had a pretty terrible table next to the door to the kitchen.
The food and service lacked finesse.
2nd time the wife and i have dined there. Awesome food again. The Angus steak with XO sauce melted in my mouth.
A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Yum.
Quality of Food and Service, great, very genuine and sincere attention from reception to all staff.
Unfortunately, by ordering a Martini not on their drink list, resulted in an exorbitant increase that was most disappointing.
Need to remember to ask how they can increase the price by more than 60% for the same drink with the only change being in the Gin !!!
Sills at Crown is brilliant
(1). Environment was good.
(2). Service was ok, can be better. We were having Chinese tea. No one topped it up when it was empty. We had to call the waitress few times. Not good considering they were charging us $5.00 per head.
(3). Food largely fine. We ordered 3 mains and 3 entrees among 3 of us. Except one scallop main disk, rest was good.
(4). Not really value for money. Compare to other restaurants in Crown complex and Southbank, certainly Silks was over price with small dish size
This is one of my favourite restaurants in Melbourne. Have been here many times and am never disappointed. Great food and service.
