St. Michael's Alley
My wife birthday!
Excellent food and very good service.
Excellent food in a nice relaxed atmosphere where we could talk without having to shout.
Excellent food & Service. We love the dinning room and bar!
Consistently first-class place to dine! And that's been true for many years. Bravo Michael!
Had steak tartare as a first course. It cam premixed with raw egg on top, so there was a little mixing necessary. It had a white sauce on it, Mayo? It certainly did not belong.
The cassoulet beans were not sufficiently cooked, and probably sooked separately from other ingredients, as the beans were bland.
Not bad, but far from excellent.
Best clam chowder, really tasty fish dishes, professional service.
The atmosphere is lovely with beautiful fresh flowers on the tables. The service was great, and the food was delicious!
Food was excellent and the service was super friendly.
Good for the silver haired crowd, not so much for a fun date night out.
Very pleasant;we’ll be back.
Consistently very good. Service is always excellent without being in your face. A favorite place for special occasions.
I highly recommend this restaurant!! Best Food! Best Service! Best Ambiance! We love it here!! 5 Stars Excellence
Great food and atmosphere! Highly recommended!
Great choices, agreeable and helpful staff, delicious food. Just what we wanted
We have not been to SMA for years.
I asked for a quiet cozy table as it was V Day, we were placed on a high top in the bar ):.
Filet Mignon was awful, too thick, no taste, lousy presentation.
Lobster bisque and first course delightful.
Wines in even and cost exorbitant.
Not sure we will return.
Loved the OLD PLACE WHEN CLINTONS FREQUENTED
Great meal in nice environment. Servers professional but over-stretched. Wines by glass unexceptional.
I’m in love with Isabelle.
Dinner with my son was excellent as I hadn’t been to St. Michael’s in many years. Liz was very attentive as our server and our selections were very tasty - pork belly, brussel sprouts, lamb, sturgeon and lemon tart. We will definitely come back!
Service gave us drinks we didn’t order, didn’t replace silverware once it was taken away, spoke loudly and casually, and made us want to move tables. Special drinks of the night were awful and food was just so-so. I expected much better based on past visits.
My partner and I went for a nice relaxing dinner at the end of the work week on Friday, and it was a great choice for that. Service was wonderful and it's a beautiful space. Price is kind of high, but in line with other Palo Alto restaurants
The mushroom cake appetizer was delicious, as was the pasta dish with black pepper and shrimp. The scallops were fresh and cooked perfectly but a bit bland. The pork belly was only average. I have to say the biggest disappointment was the chocolate bread pudding - it was kind of tough and dry (ice cream on top was great but was still not enough to overcome the dryness) - I feel like it would be better if they didn't put cocoa powder in the bread but rather added chocolate chunks in the batter instead.
VERY disappointed that after taking the time to carefully submit our dietary restrictions, we were served a ‘special’ appetizer - a bruschetta with olive tapenade - but mixed in with the olives was BACON which we do not eat for religious reasons and we ate a couple of bites before realizing it! The server did not mention bacon nor did anyone review our careful profile. We were devastated and the server wasn’t even apologetic...
Did not acknowledge anniversary occasion.
Seems expensive for what you get
This is our favorite restaurant in the greater Palo Alto area. The food is always great, and the service is excellent. We've been eating here for several years and will definitely continue to enjoy 'St. Mike's.'
Nice and quiet. Good ambience for older people. Great food. Very entertaining server.
Great food, good staff. No rushing to push you out.
Thank you for a very nice table, delicious cuisine and prompt service.
Ok food nothing great for the price great atmosphere quiet nice feel and in an area where parking is not bad service is ok at best but would expect better for a white cloth experience. Very good wine list but good nothing to bring me back
Excellent service. Warm and cozy ambience. Good food
My nicoise salad was good but my friend’s steak salad was overdressed, a bit too sour. Otherwise it was a good lunch.
Nice meal for special occasion; nice food and drink selection. Moderately expensive
Great food, excellent service, nice ambiance!
Great service. Very accommodating of boisterous children. Food was excellent
Great waitress as she was positive and attentive
Love this place!
Good food; excellent staff. Everyone was VERY friendly, helpful and professional.
I've always had a good to great meal here. However, since we told them it was our anniversary in advance, we got a nice Happy Anniversary wish from our server but no offer of even a small complimentary dessert. Otherwise, excellent meal and service.
It was just fine. When we got there I mentioned "why is it that we don't come here more often? "..It was just fine. Nothing to wow us. I must say I thought our waitress, who was very nice, did look quite sloppy though, which doesn't go with the price tag on the whole dinner experience. We possibly might go again. It is a great spot if you actually want to hear your dinner guests, so I would suggest it for that.
Good food, outstanding service, lovely setting for dining.
Try it, you will like your experience dining at St. Michaels!
Too loud. Asked for quiet table and it was right by the bussing station with clanging dishes.
Good food. Nice staff.
