Steak + Vine
Our food was delicious! It was a birthday dinner for my sister. The server was very helpful and had great suggestions. She was prompt and made our night! I have nothing but positives to say about Steak & Vine!
Food very tasty. Service great.
We went for Father’s Day and my husband enjoyed a nice steak. I had the chopped salad and it was great. The kid’s meals like the mini burgers and the pasta were hits too. Our family loves this local spot. Good service and my husband even received some golf balls for Father’s Day.
Everything and everyone was on-point. Can’t say enough about what a great experience we had for the moment we walked in. Bravo to the S&V team!!
Our server, I believe his name was Todd, was exceptional. The food was fresh and very tasty as were the drinks. A bit pricy, but we had a great time and will be back on another special occasion. The only bad part was the one lady that was busing tables almost made a point of bumping into my wife's chair every time she walked by.
Each time we visit Steak +Vine we are pleased with the great tasting food, friendly staff, and its quiet relaxed atmosphere conducive to conversation. We highly recommend Steak+Vine.
My husband and I enjoyed our first wedding anniversary here. It was our first visit and far exceeded our expectations. The food, service and ambiance were all outstanding and we can't wait for our second visit.
Visited Steak + Vine for a nice Sunday brunch outside of our typical rotation. Very nice outdoor seating area right on La Grange Rd. Our server was fantastic. The food was quite flavorful and had large portions. The only reason I deducted a star were the Mimosas. They were in fact bottomless, (and refilled often), but they were VERY juice heavy. Otherwise, a great brunch.
Excellent food with a great variety to choose from. Very attentive service.
Seven people celebrating my daughter’s high school graduation. There was something for everyone and we all enjoyed our meal.
Great food and fantastic service!
It was our first time there for a brunch and that meal was as good as it gets. We'll being going there regularly for brunch as well as some dinners
First time to this restaurant in downtown Lagrange. Parking can be challenging like many of the western suburbs on a Friday or Saturday night.
The restaurant has a nice vibe - exposed brick in the dining room. Looked like a good bar area, although the window seats at the high tops looked a bit weird. It looked like anyone sitting on the window seats (not the stools) sat considerably higher at the table.
Todd was our server and he was very attentive and friendly. The drink menu is trying to be a bit too clever. Hard to just find out what the drink might be as there are an over abundance of words to describe a Manhattan or other drinks. Wine list offered a number of good choices., both bottle and by the glass.
The spinach salad was a good size and tasty, but overdressed and a few too many walnuts. The wedge salads were very good.
Onion dinner rolls served warm at the beginning of the meal were one of the highlights. Three of us had the dinner special of two 4 oz filets and a side. Cooked correctly, and tender but just okay from a seasoned perspective. One party had the Berkshire pork chop and he said it was good. The broccoli side was okay, but barely warm. The mashed potato’s were very creamy.
Based on reviews we were looking forward to trying a new place. This restaurant was okay for some things, and probably okay if you live in the area. But we are not in a hurry to go back.
Excellent service, accommodated our party of 8 arriving at different times, on Mother’s Day.
Reasonable prices with creative entrees. My granddaughter loved the choice of foods on the children’s menu. We are always happy to support this locally owned restaurant.
Frequent Steal + Vine frequently, always great service & food! Specials of the night often peak my curiosity and I order.
Food cooked to perfection. Great ambience. A very pleasant night out!
Great food, first time there and will go back again. Steak was fantastic, drinks were delicious. Will go back again!
Great service, great presentation , great food
Very pleasant first time experience. Really everything was 5 stars. We will be back again
The food was very good. We were celebrating a birthday, which I mentioned in the online reservation. They remembered it with a beautiful sparkler and complimentary dessert. Most places overlook this info, but S+V's thoughtfulness made it a really great dinner. I'd recommend in a heartbeat.
Great time. Food was exceptional from aps to entrees. Excellent service from the bartender, Chris . Will definitely be going back
Consistently wonderful! The food is always delicious, hot and cooked to perfection. The staff is friendly and prompt with service. Nick is a wonderful owner and should be very proud of the reputation Steak and Vine has acquired.
Awesome Easter brunch! We go here for all of our special occasions! Great food, great ambience, reasonable prices, and bottomless mimosas!
Love this place. So yummy and the best service anywhere.
The entrees were good. They accidentally brought out the wrong entree out for one of us but quickly fixed the problem. They were kind to give us a free dessert. But the apple dessert was way too oily and kind of ruined the experience. I was a little disappointed that the dessert was so bad.
Food was very good and so were the drinks. I had the berry drink and substituted tequila instead of the bourbon and it was great. After you get past the chaotic drink menu wording, it was worth it.
Manager was very sweet. My husband ordered the salmon and didn’t realize it had honey on it and he’s allergic (we didn’t think of it), they kindly made him another one without honey and made a note on out profile for next time.
Will definitely be back.
We came up with a group of 10 people to celebrate my friends birthday and watch the NCAA final four games and it was fantastic! The service was great the drinks and food were amazing and the ambience was a lot of fun! Nick, the owner, was very accommodating! We will definitely be frequenting this place!
This was our first time at this restaurant. It is cute and I love the brick walls and the ambiance. The food was nice and our waitress very nice. The onion soup was thick and tasty. My entree was the veal chop. I asked for extra mushroom marsala sauce (I had also ordered mashed potatoes). The veal chop was huge. It was a bit fatty, but other than that it was delicious. Their website needs to be updated in that a wine shown on the site is no longer available, but the waitress was great in helping me. I tried 3 "tasters" of different wines and chose one that I enjoyed with my meal. We will come back again and bring the family.
I really enjoyed the food and especially the server we had. I'm looking forward to dinning here again although, just a tad pricey. Sometimes a menu comes with a higher price tag so it's worth it.
It was our first visit and we went on a Sunday for a birthday celebration the food and service was excellent I would definitely come back .
One of our favorite restaurants but this was our first time for brunch. The food was great and very reasonably priced. Megan is a great server!
Great food and great service! We'll be back soon.
Great experience. All of the food was delicious and server was very attentive. Highly recommend!
Thank you , the steaks were made well and cooked perfectly.
Great service and food. The servers where fabulous. We will definitely be back for another date night!
Great food service and atmosphere
Our waiter was very sweet, attentive. He was in training. His manager came by to see if all was good, which it was. Our dishes and wine were wonderful. We love this place! A neighborhood gem!!! This was our third visit and we will be back again.
Great food. Cool space. Friendly staff.
Victor was amazing. Really attentive to our needs and ready with recommendations
