Such wonderful people run this winery! Great views and amazing wine. Cheeses were excellent as well! Even though it was in the 30s and cloudy when we were there, we had a blast! Fire pits helped a lot. Will be back.

Stopped by Stinson on a 72 degree day in November. Even by COVID standards the crowd was small (less than 10 people spread about the spacious grounds). Staff was very friendly. Wines were a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed the Tennat and Cab Franc.

If you are looking for a great afternoon at a vineyard with an amazing view, this is the place to be. It’s smaller than some so much quieter and relaxed than others. They have a rose that I always enjoy on a sunny afternoon.

We were able to get a table and enjoy a bottle of wine and talk. The ambiance was wonderful!

Great outdoor space and easy to keep distance from people. The wines were good and staff was excellent.

We just did a tasting but we appreciated the view and the thoughtfulness of having propane fire pits for warmth! Very friendly staff! Great red wines!

We visited many wineries this past weekend. There was six in our group. We all agreed that Stinsons had the best consistency in their wine selections. Not a bad wine was offered. Our groups favorite was the Cab Sav.

They also offered an extensive list of cheeses to choose from. We got one of each.

Will definely go back and expect an even better time once we're on the other side of Covid-19. (speaking of, they practiced great CDC guidelines.)

We ordered a White wine flight. All the of the whites were tasty. Our two favorites were Sauvignon Blanc and the Sugar Hollow White. We bought a bottle of each one.

As locals, we’ve been to basically all of the wineries in the Charlottesville area, and I would put Stinson in the top quarter (maybe higher) when it comes to operating in the COVID area. While it’s not a huge seating area, they have done a great job distancing the tables, and wine service is prompt and efficient. The view remains gorgeous, and about the only downside is the 20ish minute drive from “downtown”. The wine was surprisingly good - we throughly enjoyed the Chardonnay, and did a tasting that included a nice Cab Franc, decent Rose and an enjoyable white blend. Met my 70 year old mom and brought our two kids under the age of 8 and puppy, and all felt welcome and enjoyed themselves.

Loved being able to make a reservation for free. The view was fantastic. The wine was great and we will definitely be back.

View is outstanding, food is not home made but very good, service was friendly and very good. Wines were tasty... We’ll be back!!

When ordering cheese and crackers to go with our flight of wine the lady pulled out a package that looked like a lunchable you could buy at the corner store. Our reserved table was old and had stains on it. There were flies all around when trying to sample our wines and eating our packaged cheese and crackers. Disappointing experience.

The most relaxed, friendly environment of all the wineries we visited. Sat outside on lawn and enjoyed the food we brought plus some we purchased and sampled the wines. Surprising to all of us, we liked the Tannat the best and had a bottle of that. Lucky enough to have a perfect weather weekend, it was lovely.
P.S. If you want a guaranteed "seat" make a reservation--Covid protocols for distancing, etc.

The flies were awful! Please consider spraying. Difficult to enjoy wine or food while constantly swatting at them or having to get up and down to get wine and food. Would be a whole lot safer (covid) if you had servers bring items out, as opposed to guests having to move throughout & close to others to wait in line to purchase items. This used to be one of our favorite spots, but we we’re treated rudely from the very first encounter walking up. Too many other local choices. Sadly, we will not be back.

Stinson is a gem! The wine and people are awesome. Definitely fees like home whenever I return.

Didn’t have any food so gave one star. The rose was very good and the set up for Covid precautions was well done. The pours on my tasting flight were the smallest tastes I’ve ever had at any winery. For $10 felt ripped off. One of my friends got the same flight and the pours were better. So maybe just bad luck.

Adorable little winery with amazing views. They are doing well keeping things safe. Wines are very pleasant. I will definitely be going back!

Placed us in direct sun with no cover and then let people who didn’t have a reservation set up camp chairs and a truck in front of where we were sitting and they blocked the view. Tried the first flight of wine too and was underwhelmed.

We went to Stinson for my wife’s birthday. What a pleasurable experience it was. Beautiful setting and great wine. Highly recommended.

I loved this vineyard and the atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The descriptions of the wine were very helpful and accurate and allowed me/my partner to make choices that were catered to our specific preferences. It was very beautiful and peaceful.

We had the most enjoyable time at Stinson! We love the wine, the gorgeous Mountain Views, and the impeccably friendly service we get from Jessica each time we visit!

Lovely place, it was quiet and beautiful. The staff was incredible and we plan on going back the next time we are in Charlottesville.

Celebrated our daughter’s 25th birthday. Beautiful area. Wine delicious. Jessica made it very special.

Small winery with very good wines. Tables are spaced apart so that we felt very comfortable and most tables had an umbrella or test for shade. We will be back.
