Extraordinary preparations of superb fish and accompaniments in a nine-seat, bar-only restaurant. The Kyoto white yuzu beer I ordered complimented the meal beautifully.

One of the best omakase experiences (let alone dining experiences) we've had. Service & food were 10/10. It was so good, we booked 2 more reservations while dining.

Second time here, was super awesome again! The menu changes as things come in and out of season. Jason takes a ton of care of his customers and it was a really enjoyable experience.

I update this review after my second visit happened yesterday. Jason's Omakase is more completed. In the last couple of weeks, I could tell he has done many experiments from menu level to small details even in the same nigiri neta. For instance, the second piece is changed from Toro with Caviar to Nore Sore (baby anago) and it was seasonal delicacy you can only taste in limited time at winter season. Also instead of Kinmedai, he tried Ebisudai and I really liked it's unique texeture inside a mouth. Everything at the course meal has become more solid, simpler while using the best class ingredients of season's bless

Lovely space with a chef that shows his joy in his food and presentation. Exceptional quality in fish (flown in from Japan at least twice a week), attentive staff, intimate setting for a date or with good company and worth the price.

Every dish served was phenomenal. The quality of the sakes were amazing. It's only been open for a month and I'm glad I found it. Will definitely be dining here again.

Excellent Omakase. Only two items were slightly awry. The uni and the Tamagoyaki. The rest was excellent, with an innovative palate. I suspect that the decor and ambience will improve as this was the soft opening. Also had an excellent selection of Sakai

Easily one of the best sushi restaurants I have ever experienced. Flawless from start to finish. The chef and his team are amazing. The food, absolutely amazing. I experienced new and simple approaches to fish that I have had before but never this good. Just superb, in a beautiful environment. Every detail has been paid close attention. A rare experience.

When we heard about Sushi Shin we booked a reservation immediately. Since they only do 2 seatings a night of 9 people each we booked a few months in advance. The entire experience was amazing. Our server Jay made an excellent sake recommendation to tie it all together. We had such a great time that before we left we booked our next reservation for a few months out.

Fantastic fresh Sushi. Beautifully presented, well explained. Very friendly Chef and staff.

If you don’t want Sake, bring your own wine. Corkage $50 (tad steep for RWC) but the Sushi experience is so good...

The restaurant is small but Zen like. The nearby train station sounds adds a city feel - you can pretend you are in Tokyo though they clearly have way better trains.

お任せだけですが、一品、一品、手が混んでいて素晴らしかったです。サービスもすばらしい。お酒も最初にテイスティングさせてもらえ、自分の好みのものが選べました。5時30分入店、出たのが8時前くらい。なので時間もゆっくりと過ごせて堪能しました。おまかせコースが130ドルですが、飲み物チップでふたりで440ドルくらい。妻は飲まないので二人とも飲むなら500ドルくらいでしょうか。日本でこういうお寿司に行くとこのくらいの値段はするんだろうなと思いますしこっちでこれだけの料理とサービス受ければ納得の値段。とはいえ、頻繁には行けない高級お寿司やですね。でも大満足の夜でした。

This place us going to be so popular. Jason offered amazing Omakase course that you won't be able to find at $130 value. Starting with 3 starters, Taco, Toro with Caviar and Smoked KampachI, Jason provided a solid omakase with fine ingredients, well balanced neta and shari, also delight experiments between traditional sushiya and modern sushi dining. Impressive pieces were Kinmedai, Sayori, Ikura and Uni. Also Tofu desert was very unique and tasty. Even during the dinner at the store, I finished my next bookings for Feb and March because I knew this place is going to be somewhere impossible to book an appointment soon.
