This has always been our favorite “go to” Chinese restaurant, and they didn’t disappoint this time around. We got our requested large round table, and our group on 9 enjoyed sharing the various selections from the lazy Susan. We loved supporting this place during these trying Corona times. Food and service were up to their usual high level. The owner expressed thanks to us for coming out. A most enjoyable evening!!!
The restaurant was empty at 8:30. It was strange eating in complete silence and no other guests!
Enjoyed their dim sum which was pretty good. Good Chinese food!
We love this place. The food is great, staff is friendly!
A very good experience as always at Tai Pan. The restaurant was much emptier than usual - effects of coronavirus suppressing the clientele - so our food arrived even quicker than usual. Service was friendly and attentive. One of our dishes was a little too salty but otherwise all good. The twice cooked honey spare ribs are our favorite dish.
Amazing meal! Every item was perfect. The peking duck was the best we have ever experienced!!
My point deduction was only because the wonderfully flavored Mongolian beef wasn't at all spicy. Otherwise, the food was delicious!
Excellent food and service
The quality of food here never disappoints. We always order a few things off of the Dim Sum menu and then a few things off of the regular menu. The food is always delicious. It is not inexpensive. However it is worth the splurge.
Food is good, but don’t count on the open table reservation. We made a reservation at 7:30PM, but seated at 8PM.
I keep going here! Good food, not much noisy! Good for business lunch and dinner.
Always excellent, food, service and ambiance. Highly recommended
This is my favourite Chinese restaurant. Order the pork string beans.
As always, terrific food in an elegant room with attentive service. Our favorite Chinese Restaurant within 30 miles!
Delicious dim sum!
Dim sums were superb. lobster with Eu Fu noodle 🍜 bland and pricey $55 lacking flavor. tried once won’t be ordering the next time but will return for the dim sum. Best time to come is when it opens at 11am after that long waits
In one word - Sloppy. We were sitted 30 minutes past our reservation time, without even a small apology. Soup arrived luke warm, entrées arrived slowly at the same temperature. All this for $150 for 4 people. Avoid.
Been here many times. Tonight service was abysmal. Had to ask for items several times and the wait staff was just scatterbrained and inattentive.
Food was great as usual but service was awful.
A great option in Palo Alto for Peking Duck and Dim Sum. Service is very attentive and professional. My only reservation is cost.
Nice place for group dining. Food tastes good, but service/price was ok.
Pot Stickers 6 for 2
Moo Shu Veg w. Crepes
Really excellent food! We are all really happy with the freshness and quality of the dishes. Delicious!
Great Dim sum and Service.
Service was poor, impolite
Food was good as always. Service OK, that’s as usual too. Will go back again.
Poor seating management. Even though we had reservations, they used a paper list and seated walk-ins first.
Best dim sum.
Expensive but top quality.
Super expensive for regular dim sum. It costs double for similar dim sum somewhere else. Koi palace has more delicious dim sum than this place. And I always Thought Koi is expensive but this place costs more with less desired food. Would prefer somewhere else next time.
The food was excellent! Really Hong Kong style Dim Sum. We loved it!
Very enjoyable dinner. Nice that you can order dim sum at dinner.
Great time out for classy dimsum
Before concert dinner with my friends. Ordered several Shanghai dishes and I really enjoyed them.
The noise level is extremely loud. Not helped by very lively children. Food greasy
Tai Pan is the best Chinese restaurant in the Palo Alto area. A bit expensive but worth it.
We tried favorites and new choices this evening and really enjoyed them. Eggplant with noodles--yum! The broccoli beef was superb. We'll be back.
Great Food...however the food does take quite long in coming out of the kitchen.
As usual consistency bring this restaurant to a good value... Would recommend
The restaurant is pristine clean, expertly laid out with white table cloths and traditional contemporary Chinese decor. The staff is friendly, and extremely customer accommodating. Two hour parking is available and situated practically next door to the restaurant. But best of all, the cuisine is par excellence. To have access to such exquisitely prepared Chinese cuisine in a suburb of Palo Alto CA is absolutely fabulous. The variety of the dishes offered on the menu, the presentation of the dishes, and best of all, the delicious and superbly delectable taste of the food is what earns this restaurant the five (5) star rating! Excellent preparation of the food; everything is freshly prepared; superb chef and staff.
