The wait time was ridiculous. Table booked for 20;45 got there 20;40 told 5 min wait for them to re-set. 10 mins later still no sign so we ask. Now it’s a 15 min wait as there is still people sat on the table that they were supposedly re-setting? We finally got to sit down at 21:40. The manager was amazing and gave us free starters and explained that there had been a fault in the kitchen but I feel like this could have been communicated to us at 20:40 instead of been told 5 mins when it was actually 1hour. We finally finished eating at 00:10. Food was absolutely amazing and the service from Maddie was great too. Just the waiting time and the messing around really let it down.
Good food but probably didn't get seated for half an hour beyond scheduled time
Wow! Tattu is amazing. The most delicious food with the nicest atmosphere. Everything was perfect - from the service to the food we were very happy. The menu was explained by the waiter clearly and he even gave a few pointers on what to order. The table setting was lovely and the table was constantly being cleaned between courses by the waiter. He was attentive even though it was super busy. The atmosphere was amazing, they have a live DJ playing some funky background music that creates a chilled vibe with a good beat. Drinks were amazing. It is pricey but worth it in my opinion. The food was second to none, some of the nicest I’ve ever eaten. Nothing to complain about. Even the toilets were lovely and clean with nice lighting. All staff were polite and helpful. Will definitely be returning.
Worth the wait! Beautiful setting for a romantic meal. The food is first class and the portion size is spot on. I highly recommend the duck Bon Bons and the salmon. Couldn’t fault this place. My only negative was the dj playing the music was far too loud, felt like sometimes you couldn’t hear yourself talk.
Absolutely delicious beautiful food such a fantastic experience
Great food, but really noisy. I was sat across from my husband and we could hardly hear each other speak. The music was loud, which meant people had to raise their voices to be heard. Great food though and the decoration was amazing. Glad I’ve been 😊
We have been to Tattu a few times before but on this occasion it was very drafty. We were sat in the conservatory and then moved after complaining, however, we were then sat opposite the conservatory which was just as bad.
It has put us off coming again as there is nothing worse than being cold in a restaurant.
Glad we went and the food was good, but it's pretty expensive for what it is. Service was good, staff were all friendly. Music is pretty loud, feels like a bar vibe rather than an upmarket restaurant. Went on a date but feel like it would suit a group better.
A little let down after hearing good things. Felt the food was very average for price. Comparing to nobu which is a similar price range felt nobu food was a better quality. Experience as a whole OK! Restaurant setting faultless.
Lovely restaurant with great service. The food was delicious
We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation at 9:10 ready to eat at 9:15. We made our way to the receptionist at 9:15 and asked if our table was ready, her response was; we are very busy today so you have to wait till a table becomes available, I voiced that we had to leave there within an hour due to travel arrangements, hence why we wanted the table for the time we booked it for, at 9:35pm the receptionist then approached us to sit us to a table that had became available, the table happen to be right by the DJ and entrance of the restaurant not ideal. It was very loud and made it difficult to hear, overall the waitress who approached our table was very polite and friendly and informed us that she could not do much about the table. In the end I thought the whole experience was not what I was expecting, there is definitely room for improvement especially as they plan to open up in London, I would advise the restaurant management to head to Hutong at the Shard and take some tips from them as they can learn a lot.
Definitely recommend Every thing was very good It was our first visit and feel we ordered too much food Had the set meal which although delicious was too much for us
Amazing food and ambience. Very different. Would recommend
We were celebrating my daughter's 18th and we could not have been happier with our evening. The staff were brilliant, the food was amazing (especially the Teriyaki salmon and the coconut chicken salad) and the decor/style of the restaurant is awesome. Thanks, we will definitely be back.
Excellent food, good service and a great dining experience.
We visited for the first time on Friday evening and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing as was the service 5* and we will definitely be back.
Great choice for lunch with friends, service & food excellent
Lovely interesting menu.
Food fresh and perfectly prepared
Great service, attentive staff with sense of efficiency but fun.
It was a costly meal but worth it. Beers a bit pricey though
I’ve been twice this week
Visited on 20.02.20, the service was fantastic on arrival and then throughout our meal. Our waitress was so professional and friendly. The atmosphere was perfect. The food was amazing! We all ate from the lunch menu which was fantastic value.
Really enjoyed the whole experience. Will definitely be returning on our next visit to Leeds.
Excellent decor and atmosphere. Staff were fantastic and explained what various dishes were. The speed of service was spot on and the food was absolutely superb with some amazing flavours. Left feeling very satisfied. Would highly recommend. Not cheap but also not overpriced for the standard offered. Will definitely go again.
Tattoo was excellent. It is at the higher end of the price scale but the quality of food and service etc is extremely high.
The food was amazing, great service and atmosphere good. Will definitely be back again.
Food and atmosphere is excellent, a little pricey but worth every penny 👍
Great food and beautifully decorated restaurant. The short beef ribs were melt in the mouth and the duck spring rolls packed with duck. The dim sum was very good as were all the main dishes we ordered including the monkfish. The deserts were very large and we shared 2 between 5 of us. Highly recommend the fortune cookie desert. This restaurant has great food and is good value
Superb throughout all staff excellent and the food a different class
First time we'd been, waitress was very helpful and really glad we took her advice on board. Food was excellent, we will be back.
Really enjoyed our meal & the service was excellent. Really attentive & even gave our daughter a lesson on using chop sticks.
Didn’t make much of an effort for the birthday girl very expensive for what it was and they kept on getting the drinks order wrong
Not really what its advertised as, Tattu cant decide if it wants to try be fine-dining or if it wants to be an energetic party food place.
The food itself is pretty good, but its not the fine-dining experience you would expect when compared to places like Craft House.
We did the emperors choice which was £100 per person, with a service charge of 15% + drinks you're looking at around £300 per couple. For that price it just didnt hit the mark.
1) Incredibly loud music with an inhouse DJ, not suitable for a romantic meal which the scenery and photos imply.
2) Tables are pretty close together so you end up hearing your neighbours conversations and can feel a bit too close quarters.
3) Service is fine, but its not the 'fine dining' service youd expect, its more the waiter rushes the food over to your table, flys through what is then wonders straight off to do something else.
4) General clientel is pretty young and it seemed to be 'all about the instagram' for a lot of people there
Lobster was tasty as was the wagyu beefs, but once again cant decide if it wants to be fine-dining by adding in a bunch of unnecessary sides, almost as if they wanted to go for an exquisite course but weren't brave enough to let the very tasty wagyu/lobster stand on its own.
All of this isnt to say its a bad restraruant, its just not in line with expectations for the price range. It would be a fine place to go on a company expenses party or something similar but definitely would reccomend the alternate fine-dining places if youre after a romantic 1-on-1 more matured environment.
We’ve happily dined at Tattu a few times now, but we were left a bit disappointed after our most recent visit. To begin with we were seated right by the bar, so experienced a chilling draft every time the doors opened and had a constant stream of waiters stood right beside us waiting to deliver drinks, food and serve tables. We asked if we could move tables and were told something about a larger table finishing up so they’ll see what they could do, only to never hear back. The food was delicious as always, but we were very annoyed at the lobster we ordered. Costing £55 we were met with the most anorexic looking lobster we’ve ever been served in a restaurant and to make matters worse there was no claw meat. The manager did note our complaint on the lobster, agreed the supply has been small recently, but assured us the claw meat was removed and added into the dish. It definitely wasn’t there! We have our suspicions the claw meat is removed and used in the lobster starters. Considering it’s sold as a WHOLE LOBSTER at £55, under the LARGE plates section of the menu might I add, you’d expect to at least get all of the lobster, including the claw meat. The manager offered free desserts, which we appreciated, but although the food tasted incredible, the overall experience has left us very unimpressed. Overall I’d say quality is up there but the quantity is very poor, it’s overpriced for what you get and if you’re selling a whole lobster at £55 actually serve a whole lobster! Be very interesting to know how many grams the lobsters served actually are.
Beautiful food, sons 18th birthday, even brought out a special little surprise for him. Only down size was we struggled for room on the tiny little round table we were crammed onto with the courses of the set menus.
Amazing quality of food. Really nice interior design. Our host Jordan, was brilliant. We felt that the place was a bit crowded, but overall we really enjoyed this place and we will be back. Thanks to all of the team at Tattu Leeds
Amazing birthday meal for my girlfriend. Great place to socialise
Amazing from start to finish
Beautiful food worth every penny . Will deffo be returning.
