TELÈFERIC BARCELONA - PALO ALTO
Lassen Sie liefern
Had lunch at Teleferic Palo Alto noon on Monday; last day of service before in-restaurant dining was banned under a county health order. Restaurant nearly empty and bnlessedly quiet. Service was excellent. Hanger steak, cauliflower and octopus were all excellent. Hope Teleferic can make arrangements to offer pick-up meals while the space is closed to normal sit-down meal service.
Food was good, much pricier than I expected. I ordered the special - crab paella - and did not want to penny-pinch and ask the price ahead of time, but when I got the bill it was significantly higher than I would have expected. The food was tasty and service was acceptable. Just didn't blow me away in any way.
The food was excellent though it took our paella a long time -we had to remind our server about it. But it was pretty good. My first time to try the Lobster paella. I prefer the Negra more.
The service was just okay, service when I first came here 2 months ago was much better.
This was my first visit. At the recommendation of my server, we had the octopus. I thought it was okay, but nothing special: ONE small piece, fairly dry, and $18. That was a ripoff. For that price, I expect at least 2-3 pieces of octopus. The chicken empanadas were tasty, but they were constructed from fried wontons—not empanada dough—and there was no indication about that either from our server or the menu. The salmon tartare was delicious, and so were the roasted vegetables. I’d rate the food as good-to-very-good, but nothing extraordinary; and decidedly overpriced. Not sure that I’ll be back because I don’t see it as being good value.
Definitely recommend! Overall food and service was great.
Tasty Tapas! Nice location, easy parking with fantastic Tapas options.
The food was delicious and the service was very good - friendly and fairly attentive. I enjoyed the lobster paella, although the shrimp was overcooked and there wasn’t much socarrat. All the tapas were tasty. We tried octopus, meat balls (my husband’s favorite), smoky salmon tartare (my favorite), shrimp (too oily for me, though), and Brussel sprouts. I liked my sangrias and my husband liked his Spanish red wine from Priorat. The kitchen was fast and well run, but the bar seemed to lag a bit. Prices were higher, but I suppose that’s not unexpected for Palo Alto.
Love the tapas and drinks here. It is a new go-to for me.
Tapas were tasty but found that there wasn’t enough balance in dishes ...so everything was very rich and not enough large plate offerings
Great to have a good tapas option in PA.
Also nice-looking adjacent shop with Spanish wines, olive oils, cold cuts, etc.
Excellent service and delicious food!
Great addition to Town & Country!
I went there to celebrate my birthday. The dishes are tasty and great environment.
Fun dining experience! Service was awesome, food was very good, and the sangria was excellent!
Great place for tapas. Went out on a limb and tried the pulpo which was yummy, and surprisingly filling! Also recommend the the burrata. Will definitely be back to try and the paella
I liked the atmosphere. Good drinks, active bar, most of the servers were warm and friendly. I liked the seating - we were in a banquette. I am open to going again but we split the paella and it was mainly dry rice with four spears of asparagus, two chicken wings and a spare rib. Best part was the wedge of lemon squeezed on the rice which brightened it up. The coffee was good. Next time, I’ll try the tapas. We also split the ‘fried’ cauliflower with manchego foam and romesco. It needed salt, and was not that ‘fried’ - more like dipped in flour and baked. We both had the sangria de Barcelona which was like a pink alcoholic lemonade.
The staff was very welcoming. We got there early and they accommodated us in a few minutes. Loved our dining experience!! Will be back many times:)
First visit and was pleasantly surprised. Very welcoming and nice service. Tapas were all great and drinks were fabulous. Will definitely come back.
Great food, Good service. Price higher than average, though!
Love it . We go there weekly.
Some menu items were great, others weren’t. Octopus was good, crab croquetas had weird texture. Drinks were good. Would go back to try other things!
Top-notch service, paired with phenomenal food - simply put, a good meal.
TB is a terrific restaurant on every level. The staff is extremely competent and friendly. The menu is large and authentically Spanish. Excellent for foodies, alfresco dining, large and small groups.
I think this is a great place for small plates, sharing and having a good time w/friends. Service was good, food came out very fast and wasn’t disappointed. Only complaint was the paella was very oily, oil was swimming on the bottom. Otherwise this was a good lunch we had.
Great food. Tables a bit small. Don't like the traveling samples for sale bit.
I had high expectations for this restaurant and they met all of them. The food the ambiance and the service was fabulous! we will be back again!
Great experience from start to finish, we had to modify the reservation to accomodate more people for a birthday party and the hostess was very helpful. We started with the drinks, I had the spicy sangria and it had just enough spice for me, but too much for some of my party members who chose the Telerific Sangria and were satisfied. For appetizers we had the croquettes, which were a serving of 2 and scrumptious, grilled octopus which was just one tenticle and very tasty, and then the hangar steak, squid ink paella and potata brava - all were delicioso! Will be back!
Don't understand how this food quality can survive in Barcelona
Yummy food , good service and great presentation. Thanks
Service was slow with cocktails, food came quickly & was good. Very loud & hard hear.
The food was very tasty (salmon and kale / corn salad) and the service was impeccable. I will be coming back!
Great place, love the cocktails and tapas. Service is always prompt.
It was just okay, nothing special. Don’t order the shrimp tapas - it’s just not good and it’s normally one of my favorite Spanish dishes. The paellas are light on protein. The ink squid paella is quite rich and tasty.
The service was downright amateur- the folks bussing the table, refilling water, and bringing silverware were absolutely clueless - like they had never been trained in even the most basic functions. This resulted in lots of spilled water, dirty plates left lingering, long reaches across plates while in mid bite, and silverware dirtied by the severs dirty hands. It was beyond annoying. The food is not good enough to pay for such poor service by clueless, non-observant, staff.
I will not be coming back.
Oh and can we please STOP allowing dogs in restaurants? I’m a dog owner and even I don’t want to dine with other people’s dogs. Leave them at home and restaurants should stop allowing them.
Even if you have a reservation, be ready to wait. Super loud place.
We ordered two tapas and a paella, then decided to add bellota as a 3rd tapa, a specialty ham from Spain. Well, that was a disappointment. We told the waiter and the waiter checked with the chef, and took the dish of
