Everything about this restaurant was great. The place was clean. The staff and greeter was very nice. Our waiter Selina was awesome, she was very attentive to our table and also made our 2nd wedding anniversary one to remember. We had appetizers East Coast Fried Oysters and Lobster Tacos it was great. We also had complementary champagne. We both tried the Frenched rack of lamb with grilled vegetables and loaded mashed potatoes. The only problem we order medium well and my husband lamb was not medium well. It was raw. Selina took it back and had it prepared correctly. The drinks were great. I had lemon drop martini and my husband had shots of Don Julio. We brought the popular cheesecake desert. It was mouthwatering and she honored our request to play Toni Tone It’s our Anniversary with the sign and sparks. Overall great atmosphere with really nice people.

I think our server was new to the job, so it seemed. Our food took over an hour to get to the table after ordering. The place is nice, the music however was way too loud almost a club like atmosphere. The food was not as good as expected for the price. We will not return nor do we recommend this place to anyone.

Went for my birthday & had a lot of fun. But though it says elegant experience, theres a DJ playing club music so loud you literally cannot talk to the person next to you. The music is fine and having a DJ fine too, but the sound level was too much. Had to wait way too long for drinks & had to re-order drinks numerous times. The brussels sprouts were the best thing on the menu.

Filet was nice. Sides were good. Avoid the NY strip which was a grey , stiff, dry, collagenous gristle. The NY strip was the worst cut of meat I’ve had in any restaurant… ever. (All 3 NY strips we had were the same…)

The food and service was great. Started with the lobster tacos and walnut salad which we really enjoyed. My wife had the chicken and pork belly carbonara which was really good. I had the pork chop milanese which was also very good. Our server Josey was amazing. She was very personable. She was attentive but not intrusive.

Wow! We had dinner here on a Monday, so it was pretty quiet. The food was great, but what really set the night apart from other dining experiences was our server, Jake. He was the best server my husband and I have had in a long time. It was my husband's birthday, and Jake went above and beyond to make him feel special. We will definitely be returning, and would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a tasty dinner and great experience!

Not quite what one would assume. It felt like eating inside of a bar. It was alright, the setting was extremely bright and very loud for a near empty setting. Calamari tasted like fish sticks. The sea bass and the Salmon tasted awesome but if your looking for a steakhouse setting. This is not it. If you’re looking for casual dining this could be a nice spot. My expectations for an experience was in a different spectrum that what was provided.

I discovered this restaurant on Instagram and it looked like a perfect date night in San Antonio. However, the depiction on IG didn't reflect the atmosphere or ambiance the video portrayed. I made reservations for two and upon arrival, nearly the entire restaurant was filled with numerous birthday parties and the crowd noise was extremely loud. There was also a DJ playing loud techno/house music as well - competing with the other patrons on amplifying the noise level. Throughout the night, there was constant interruptions of the staff celebrating the birthdays of each party (I counted seven) bringing sparklers and highlighted signs of each celebrant. The noise was so loud, the server couldn't hear us when placing our orders (thus she forgot to bring one of the sides I ordered). The server was overwhelmed with several tables and there was gaps in time when she'd check on my table - however she was very pleasant. The food was incredible - minus the baked potatoes which were very dry - even with the butter and sour cream. I would label this restaurant as a bougie-ratchet and not the typical steakhouse atmosphere. It would have been nice to actually hear the conversation with my companion, but the noise was extremely loud. If you like a club-like environment, then this place is for you. If you desire a more romantic environment, make sure to check in advance to see if there's not multiple parties going on. I'd definitely come back for the steak, crabcakes, rack of lamb and drinks, but I'll try a different side next visit.

Every single item we ordered was delicious. The meatballs, the spinach artichoke dip, the chicken fritta, salmon, lobster pasta, Brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, mac&cheese, drinks, flaming cheese cake. Truly WOW’D myself and my party. Thank you for everything.

Our server, Keegan, was great. Couldn't have asked more better. However, the menu choice was extremely limited--if they have what you want, great. But I thought the salads selection was quite limited, only two (Caeser and Walnut). Also, the steaks, as in filet mignon, only one size, 8 oz. I thought the atmosphere was a bit awkward. Pics of the place show open windows, but they were all shaded.

Some of the worst food I have ever eaten was served to me at this restaurant. Poor quality steak at prime steak prices. It seemed the only seasoning they had access to was salt and they pile that on. They ran out of 16oz Ribeye Steaks so we went with a more petite steak that they had available. There were six of us dining and all ordered steaks that were all overcooked and tough to cut through. We were unable to order the charcuterie board because we were told it was frozen. The drinks were good, but I don't see myself going back to this place. For what I paid for I could have gone to Bob's Steak and Chop House.

I had never heard of this place until restaurant week. Saw the menu and thought we’d take a chance. Staff is very friendly and did a great job. The aesthetic is great, very modern and upscale. Chairs were dirty and had stains. I requested a different chair as I had on a light colored dress. The replacement was dirty but not stained. So I brushed off the crumbs. My friend and I ordered of the restaurant week menu. She got the Cesar salad and I got the lobster bisque. The bisque was ok, it was kinda on the grayish color side and the flavors were not what I’m used to for this dish. But I used their delicious bread to off set the taste. We both ordered the 12 oz ribeye. My steak didn’t look like many ribeye I’ve ever eaten before. Its taste and texture reminded me of a skirt steak. It was tough and chewy. My friends kinda looked like a ribeye but came out in 2 pieces. Like they cut part of it off and then put it back together. Both steaks lacked seasoning, and we wondered if maybe they accidentally put the steak seasoning on the veggie medley because they were super salty. Mashed potatoes were home made as evidenced by the lumps and less than creamy texture. Dessert: we both ordered cheesecake and the waiter brought 1 cheesecake and 1 carrot cake. The waiter offered to bring me a cheesecake but I declined and ate the carrot cake. Both desserts were super rich and good. Overall not a horrible experience but I won’t visit again. Aside from helping local culinary establishments and the next generation of culinary students, restaurant week provides us with opportunities to try new places at a reasonable cost.

The steak was good. The experience was……not paired well with the cost and dining. Building must’ve been an old venue or just a poor choice in ambience. If you want to have a $50-60-$100 steak while not being able to hear the person next to you over the music and bottle service spectacles, you’ve found your place.

Food was very good as were our cocktails but the outstanding service was impressive. Jake worked hard to ensure our experience was outstanding and he truly cared for us. We were quite pleased with everyone we encountered at the restaurant. Steaks were awesome too!

We ordered drinks and appetizers before the happy hour closed per the waitress suggestion. It took 20 mins or so to bring 3 martinis and a glass of wine, the appetizer I asked and the waitress said someone else took it, so another 20 mins (40 mins in) we got the appetizer. Ordered another round of drinks, 30 mins later we received the 3 glasses of wine and a martini. Our meals took about an hour to arrive. The waitress Bella was so apologetic and you could tell she was so embarrassed and frustrated with the bar. The food was good, all filets + sides. They did have a huge birthday celebration, but they should have not accepted reservations if they couldn’t handle it. The atmosphere is more of a low level club with the lighting and the poor drink service.

Ace of Steak does not disappoint. Our server, Jake, was welcoming, friendly as well as professional. We visited during Culinaria restaurant week and our entree was the 8 Oz filet which was prepared as requested and perfectly seasoned. The mashed potatoes were creamy and the seasonal vegetables delicious. The artichoke spinach dip was a perfect start and the cheesecake finish was soooo good. I would recommend Ace of Steak for a date night and your very special celebration.

The decor is modern and nice. The service was attentive and professional. The food was excellent and the items we had were delicious. There is a DJ and club style music is played at levels that can make it hard to hold a conversation. The staff danced to YMCA and Macarena. We got to watch the staff assist with two birthdays and a wedding proposal and that was exciting and fun. A fun place with a lot of energy but not so great for when you want to have a conversation.

Good experience, the table was not good for a group to sit and have good conversation but we made it work. Server was good and food came out in an efficient manner.

Overall really cool place, but don’t go there to have a nice quiet dinner. It’s really loud in there, could hardly hear the waiter over the DJ. Food was delicious!
