A welcoming atmosphere in a classic Maine bed and breakfast. The Bradley Burger was superb. The personal service of the wait staff and the owner made us feel at home. We've been coming here for 40 years! It's a treasure of the Pemaquid peninsula.
Impeccable and personalized service in a classic venue, with well-priced menu choices. I went with a relative from the area who remembered the Bradley Inn from many, many decades before - and who appreciated its present status and iteration. Friendly, comfortable, top-notch, and a delightful destination in any season. I look forward to going again!
I made the reservation and indicated we were celebrating our anniversary. It was sad that we were not greeted with "Happy Anniversary". Or "Have you been here before?". The fact is our family has been at this restaurant for many years in the past. Even when it has changed ownership or new management - we go to "check-it out".
It was not busy as it was a Thursday night in October during COVID. We had a nice corner table and it was quiet.
Although we ordered our meal right away with our cocktails, I said we'd like to enjoy our cocktails. An hour later, we were asked if we wanted our bread appetizers... this was way too long of a wait for our appetizer. The bread appetizer was nothing special... 5 slices of a baguette and herb olive oil. Generally, this bread appetizer would have been at no cost and presented much earlier.
When our entrée arrived, it was excellently presented and very delicious. I had he petite filet mignon and my husband had the Maine halibut.
When the check came, it was not our check. The second check came and I was charged for a full bottle of Prosecco instead of a glass. Third time is a charm... and it was correct.
Steak was phenomenal, dealt with allergics extremely well
We had a great dinner in the bar area. Suzy took amazing care of us. It was a very relaxing and delicious meal.
We enjoyed our dinner at the Bradley Inn! The atmosphere was so comfortable and safe. The cocktails and meals were delicious! We can’t wait to go back!
Our dinner was fabulous and the service was perfect. The inn is lovely and inviting. Thank you for the wonderful night! Cathy Hall
The portions were sensible, and the food was delicious.
The Bradley Inn is a lovely spot on the Pemaquid peninsula. I've not stayed at the inn but I've dined at the restaurant many times.
This time it was out on the patio, inside seating is well spaced I had a meal here earlier this summer.
Food is very good and drinks are also well made and delicious.
Small criticism is that when they get busy things slow down a fair bit. Service is very friendly and this helps a lot.
I would bot hesitate to recommend this place.
The food was excellent, ambiance was great and the server was attentive.
Excellence from drinks to dessert. Felt safe w COVID practices, beyond satisfied with local fresh food, attentive server. Sat on deck at sunset, would recommend.
Bradley Inn was a great respite from home cooking and the ubiquitous lobster dinners in the area. My husband and I both had the perfectly cooked halibut special, which we heard from the chef was caught that day. Our teenaged son enjoyed the hearty and delicious burger. Each preparation of Pemaquid oysters was better than the last! Service was friendly and efficient and the cocktails were tasty and creative. Definitely worth a visit!!
The Bradley Inn never disappoints! Everything is exquisite. We were celebrating a birthday and they made the most delicious chocolate/orange cake ever! It is great to have a place on “The Point” that is always excellent and memorable - highly recommend!!!
IT was a lovely dining experience in every way. Delicious food. Thank you!
Wonderful Inn.
Terrific family host
Excellent food.
Will be back
I am sorry to say that I think we ate at the Bradley Inn on an off night. We had spoken to the chef a few days before and were excited to try the local cuisine. We had asked for an outside table, but were not accommodated - that was okay, it was a busy night. Our drinks and appetizers were both tasty and well-presented, but took a long time to come, and several of the appetizers for our party of 6 got mixed up and had to go back to the kitchen. Also, several of the offered cocktails on the menu were unavailable because of ingredients (for example, strawberries) that were out. We then waited a very long time for a salad course - which was very fresh and nicely presented when it finally came. And then we waited an even longer time for our main course. While the dishes (we had all ordered one of two homemade pasta dishes on offer) were well made and enjoyable to eat, we were disappointed by the lack of presentation flair (for example, no garnishes). The staff, although friendly, seemed stressed and a bit harried - and there was never an explanation or apology for the long waiting periods. End to end, the meal ran almost 2 1/2 hours for a three course meal (not including dessert, which we skipped because we had been sitting so long). We had told our server that we weren't in a rush, and that was true, but the pacing just felt off and too extended. For a rather expensive meal that was supposed to be the highlight of our week's vacation, it was a disappointment. I am hoping it was just a bad night and would try it again when we next are in the area. Clearly the chef is talented and perhaps we should try on a non-weekend night.
Attention to safety during the pandemic was outstanding. We had a salad with blueberries and goat cheese that was balanced beautifully with the dressing— it wasn’t heavy or too sweet. My salmon chimichurri was grilled to perfection—moist and tender. My husband’s goat cheese ravioli with lobster sauce was delightful. It was not overbuttered or oversalted. It was very rich. We would come back to eat again!
We had a great visit and dinner at the Bradley Inn after a short walk along Pemaquid Light.
We have recently eaten twice at the Bradley Inn, and were very pleased both times.
If haven't been yourself, you'll find the most quaint traditional New England Inn and Tavern within 50 miles, within which you'll feel instantly at home.
We prefer the atmosphere of their traditional pub to the main dinner area, particularly due to the excellent and friendly service of their barkeeper and server, Suzie.
Both times we went we had the pork belly appetizer and the burrata Caprese salad because liked them so much (we easily split both). The pork belly app, with Broad Arrow farm pork, is simply outstanding. I would recommend the filet mignon and vegetable pasta dishes as well. We'll be back!
Lovely meal, beautiful surrounding, and great company!
Service was a little slow but the staff was very nice and accommodating. The food was amazing so made up for any of the other minor issues.
Excellent food at this lovely country inn. The choices are sophisticated and delivered with enthusiasm and panache.
Ross continues to deliver on excellent food! EVERYONE WORKING THERE ARE FANTASTIC!! This is a must visit place!
Celebrated our birthdays here on a Friday evening during Covid-19 summer. The Inn has in place excellent socially distanced seating arrangements and spaced out reservations. The service was attentive, and the menu especially creative for those of us who have been sheltering at home. We had garden salads, a filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes, and the lobster ravioli with a sweet corn sauce. Delicious! We felt secure and cared for. Couldn't ask for more this season. Heartedly recommend for a treat.
Best meal that I have had in as long as I can remember
The Bradley Inn is one of our favorites. The food was quite good and a nice small diverse menu. The wine list is excellent, and cocktails are top notch. The staff is doing a great job. The only downside and it is CLEARLY not the restaurants fault, but having to comply with the ridiculous mandates of Maine's horrible governor do not make for a pleasant evening.
Wonderful evening on our most recent visit. Cocktails were delicious. Salad was extremely fresh tasting and wholesome. The BEST street tacos East of the Golden Gate Bridge. Scrumptious pork belly. The Bradley Inn is a charming historic inn with new life pumped into it with Ross as their head chef. A wonderful place to eat while visiting Pemaquid Point. We will be back.
Highly recommend The Bradley Inn. The atmosphere was warm, comfortable and inviting. . The service was excellent and the meal delicious. Was a fabulous Way to spend Thanksgiving and we didn’t have to clean-up!!!!!
Always a pleasure--we will miss the Bradley over the winter. Look forward to returning in the spring. Delicious and such great spot.
Second visit....such a charming environment with a sophisticated New England sensibility. Service wonderful food very good and overall experience way above expectations.
We were looking forward to our final dinner in Maine. After a week of typical Maine seafood feasts we were very disappointed in our evening at The Bradley Inn. We were the first couple to be seated for dinner. We ordered drinks - there were two beers on tap but the one my husband chose was no longer available. He ordered a pale ale and the bartender suggested a can of craft beer as a substitute. It had "Dank" in the name - a hint that this was not a pale ale and it wasn't a "substitute", my French 75 was spot on however.
Dinner got off to a great start with a lovely grilled Oyster with a little too much Thai chili sauce. My husbands shrimp cocktail was first rate, however the addition of lettuce at the bottom of the bowl was not appealing. I ordered the bacon wrapped dates. They were room temperature (not warm) on the dry side and served in too much apple butter that was more like apple sauce. Moving on to our entrees, my husbands fettuccine was good since it contained a healthy amount of local fresh vegetables. My "flank" steak was very disappointing. It was a large portion, sliced with the grain (I suspect it was skirt steak) and covered with a molasses based rub - way too much molasses. The vegetables that came with it, fingerling potatoes and squash, were quite good. A desert of chocolate pot'o creme was good on execution but sadly lacking in chocolate flavor. The biggest complaint was that our wine, ordered before our dinner was served, did not arrive until half way through the meal.
The setting is lovely but a large party at the bar were way too loud. I realize that this was not the fault of the Inn staff and is a tough one to deal with.
The lone server was earnest but overwhelmed when the dining room began to fill up - thus the late wine and used glasses left on the table.
There are so many talented chefs available these days and with the abundance of fresh ingredients in the area we hope that the Inn will step up the game and be better next year.
Daisy, We are sorry about your less than stellar experience. We obviously were off our game on all fronts and hope that you will give us another chance the next time you are in our lovely part of the world. Laura and Tony Moskwa Owners, The Bradley Inn
Lovely spot. Good food. Slow service - mainly because the waitress - who was lovely- was alone that night.
We were guests at Inn. Had a wonderful dinner. Wait staff, chef and bartender were very attentive. Food was excellent. Had lamb meatball appetizer and duck and halibut entrees. All delicious! Very charming location. Arrive early enough to take a stroll to the lighthouse before the meal.
We have enjoyed the Bradley Inn on numerous previous occasions. This time they were not up to usual expectations. The good news was that the food was very well prepared; no problem there. This was a special occasion and we had asked for dining room seating; upon arrival we were told that the dining room area was closed, so were seated in the bar area. Bar area was very uncrowded, but they seated two other parties at tables adjacent to ours, instead of spreading the parties out. We could hear every word of one party's extensive discussion of food allergies, etc. Wait person had to be reminded to bring our wine (after the entrees had arrived). Lastly, the entree selection was quite limited (5 choices) and the entrees were unreasonably expensive (e.g., $40 for a SMALL duck breast--should have been more like $25-28). We hope they can get back to a higher level and reconsider their "priciness".
Inn is in a quiet area. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Extremely friendly staff. Will certainly go back!
I am most happy to say that we enjoyed our dinner so much on Wednesday August 14, that my brother, my husband and I came back for dinner on Thursday August 15. The Bradley Inn is a gem of a Maine restaurant(and inn!), surrounded by seaside eateries which offer little in the way of fine dining. This is a special place with lovely gardens and a warm traditional interior. The owner was welcoming, the wait staff and bartender were attentive, knowledgeable and friendly and the chef, Ross, is a talented culinary artist that gives patrons a feast for the eyes with creative presentations, as well as delivering fresh local flavors that are uniquely delicious. The Bradley Inn restaurant is a sophisticated, yet intimate dining experience for special occasions, or just a night out for something different and well-prepared. Thank you very much for two special evenings of great food!
Had a lovely dinner and a very nice time. Se4vice was very good.
Very nice house, beautiful dining room, great attentive and friendly service (Jen I think).... The lobster critters, lobster pasta and duck breast were all truly delicious and so was the lemon blueberry cake. A great experience all around!
We have enjoyed bringing visitors to the dining room at the Bradley Inn. Cozy atmosphere and delicious food.....last nite we had a date night and sat at the bar with Richard the barmaster...
Food was fabulous, so inventive and delicious, all fresh and local ingredients, beautifully presented. Kudos to the chef! Service is always impeccable. This place is a true gem. We will continue to bring our friends for dinner, and sneak in as many date nites at the bar as we can! Thanks guys!
We have been going to the Bradley Inn for years. It was always a special “date night” for my husband and I without the kids. In the past three years we’ve stayed there as well; once in the Cottage, once in the main Inn, with mixed results. The Inn, and consequently the restaurant, is going through an identity crisis. They are a Select property now, and maybe it is for that reason that they feel the need to try so hard to be upscale that they alienate their loyal customers.
On our most recent visit to the restaurant, there were four main entrees to choose from; two of the four were $40, and one of those was Haddock. The Haddock was delicious, but was an unnecessarily large piece. Haddock is all over the Pemaquid Pennisula at this time of year. There is no need for Haddock to be forty dollars or for the portion to beso large. The over-zealous manager was pushing a $50 bottle of wine to go with our forty dollar Haddock, which we declined. My husband had the duck. As large was the Haddock portion was, that’s how small the duck breast was. Think of a sliced sausage, and you will get the general idea. The inconsistency of the portions combined with the sparseness of the selection made this a disappointing evening for us. This is a sweet little place, but does not rise to the level of a $250 dinner. After many years, we may have had our last date at the Bradley Inn.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are sorry for your disappointment. There is however one clarification, we do not serve Haddock, the fish served the 19th was Halibut, which explains the size of the piece and the price. We will ensure that the wine suggestions in the future are just that, suggestions. We are proud of our becoming a Select Registry Member as it required that we meet a high level of standards. We hope that you reconsider and come back again in the future.
