The Cape Kitchen
Loved it will go again 👍👍
Great for special occasion ..relaxed!!
Spectacular views and tasteful food. Unfortunately as a large group we waited 2 hours for our mains which dampened our overall enjoyment. Our experience might have been different in a smaller party.
Service was very slow, restaurant is very loud, echoes which is a same when the view is beautiful and the food is good
Great food, beautiful views and good service. Prices are negotiable for what you get. The biggest shortcoming is the noise factor. We were there for brunch at 1030, and wasn’t extremely busy but was incredibly noisy.
A stunningly beautiful place to enjoy a delicious breakfast. The food was excellent, and was matched by the incredible views of Bass Strait. Look forward to returning on future visits to Phillip Island.
we had a wonderful time, the food was excelent it was just a good day
Excellent views with excellent food and service. Well priced
On arrival we were seated and served a complimentary wine as it was our anniversary. The staff very friendly , the starters and main meals were timely and no big waiting time. Food very nice highly recommend, but they only do breakfast and lunch. But we’ll worth it
We love Cape Kitchen and have been many times! I also have recommended this to many people. It is friendly and offers great food and wine. Thank you J & S
Fantastic experience; great view, excellent service and wonderful food!
The Cape Kitchen position is second to none overlooking the Bass coast. To top this the staff are attentive, pleasant, professional without losing the importance of being friendly. Strongly recommend The Cape Kitchen to friends and visitors and reason why it is our first choice to dine
We chose Cape Kitchen to celebrate our anniversary, because it's a favourite place to go on Phillip Island. The food and service were, as always, top notch. The wait staff are friendly and helpful, and out meals were delicious. And the view out to the ocean from those huge windows is such an added bonus.
Fantastic food, attentive staff and stunning location. Booked for breakfast 2 days in a row. Will most definitely be back.
The food at The Cape Kitchen never fails to impress....and the views are outstanding!
Always a good place for a semi-formal meal - good food, beautiful views, staff are always friendly and easy to get in and out - highly recommend.
Beautiful views from our table. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and answered any questions we had. We will be definitely be back
The actual first time I have been unable to eat the food at a restaurant, absolutely shocking
We are sorry to learn that you were unable to eat your meal and concerned that we weren't able to address this when you were with us as we are not sure that there was an issue raised at the time. Please contact us directly via email or 5956 7200 as we would love to learn more about your experience
We love it here, great food & coffee
Wonderful food, spectacular setting and view, great service.
One word sums it up.... magnificent. Views were amazing, staff were excellent and the food was to die for. We had the sourdough and a charcuterie board. The kids had the chicken and sweet potato chips. Mains we had the gnocchi and the pork belly. All were amazing. Would recommend this restaurant experience to anybody.
Cape Kitchen is a must do when in Phillip Island as the menu has a variety of dishes, breathtaking views, friendly and helpful staff. We had brunch there and the food was beautifully cooked and presented. It was delicious and generous. The coffee was excellent and cakes superb. We will definitely return to Cape Kitchen when in Phillip Island.
We were a group of six for breakfast. The vista is really beautiful and the decor was well appointed. The coffee was the best we’ve had on the Island! However our Cooked breakfasts although pleasing to the eye were cold. Just expect top notch when paying upper end prices.
Stunning views, great food and fantastic, friendly service. We come here everytime we come to Phillip Island.
Great food, views and service. I should get hearing aids but I’d rather complain about the noise levels. Maybe some noise deadening ceiling features would help to make this a 5 out of 5
Enjoyed every aspect of our visit save perhaps for the noise volume
Our favourite restaurant on the Island and it never disappoints.
From the arrival to the departure, our experience was excellent.
Food was Devine, great coffee and friendly service. Absolutely recommend, the views are breathtaking.
Stunning sea view with friendly service and good food. A pity it isn’t open for dinner in summer/January.
Fantastic food and service as always.
Great ocean views.
Delicious food, lovingly prepared...a tad pricey but worth it. I just wish the kids menu was better value...both kids were still hungry after having a breakfast meal each plus sharing a sweet meal....
Our experience was rather negative. The noise level was very high - unsuitable for people with hearing aids. It was galling to wait about three-quarters of an hour for our food when we had such a limitation on conversation. The food was very good when it arrived!
Excellent view to enjoy that wonderful South Gippsland steak. Excellent service from the friendly staff.
The view from the restaurant amazing
Service was a little slow between courses
Unfortunately, the view from our Window table was restricted due to the smoke from bushfires. As requested we sat by the windows and were still able to see the waters edge. Normally, the view would be outstanding. Food was lovely but quite smallish sizes for the price. Staff very friendly and attentive. My only negative is the noise level. It is very noisy when the restaurant is full, possibly due to the flooring. Despite this we had a lovely lunch.
Excellent & enjoyed it! That’s the reason we we have booked again! Cheers! & Well done!
Fantastic location, beautiful views and delicious food, as well as great service - couldn't ask for more!
The desserts was also yummy.
Fabulous location great service friendly staff and amazing food with a mix of flavours . My only comment would be it’s a bit noisy because of large open room it’s high ceilings and the ambience is a bit cold. Darker colours on the walls, paper clothes so kids can crayon and something to absorb sound may improve this .
Beautiful views to go with beautiful food albeit a little pricey at times. My main course of Barramundi was excellent and the chocolate fondant was to die for.
My husband's affogato was spectacular in presentation and my espresso was perfect.
An attentive but not intrusive waitress topped a perfect day. Thanks guys.
The food was delicious, however the restaurant being very full, it took 35 min between the end of our entrees (when the staff cleared our table) to the serving of our main meals.
When the restaurant is full, it becomes very noisy.
But the view is splendid, we will return on a different day.
Food was good but service was too long
I understand it could be busy
However We waited pretty much 1 hour and 15 minutes to get ours meals
We were here to visit Philip island for a day we don’t want to spend 3 hours to have lunch
So we didn’t get any dessert because we don’t want to spend an extra 30 minutes to wait
Food was good but because this experience we don’t think so we will come back
