The Capital Grille - Schaumburg
Very nice atmosphere, outstanding service, excellent food. Looking forward to returning again soon!
Been to The Capital Grill many times since it opened in Schaumburg. Always a great meal, food and cocktails are excellent. However, be very selective if you are getting wine by the glass. Once I made the mistake (totally my mistake) of letting our server choose my glass of wine with dinner, and it was somewhat of a disappointment- my entree totally overpowered the wine making the wine rather tasteless.
The dinner service was great. We were there for our Wedding Anniversary. The table had rose petals on it along with two long stemmed roses and a nice card from the staff wishing us well. The food was very good. One side dish wasn’t as warm as we would have liked. However, everything was tasty and the service from the staff was excellent. We will definitely return.
Husband and I went to celebrate Valentine’s Day weekend , waitress was very professional and friendly. We ordered lobster bisque soup which it tasted great! I ordered steak but it did not meet my expectations ( medium well was over cooked did not want to wait since we were pressed for time. Overall the place is beautiful staff very pleasant and professional! I would go back but for a different meal
This is a great restaurant to celebrate special occasions. The employees and service are top notch. The food is excellent. I will be back.
The service and food was very good. I would recommend for an special occasion.0
Ambiance, Food, and Service were Fantastic!
I probably will not be back though. Too expensive for me!
The Capital Grille is top notch from the minute you sit down our server Katy immediately greeted us to make sure we were comfortable. The food was outstanding, the service was perfect and we felt special. I had the best steak I have had in a longtime the BONE-IN KONA CRUSTED DRY AGED NY STRIP WITH SHALLOT BUTTER their acclaimed coffee-rubbed, boldly flavored New York strip was spectacular.
Aimee our server was phenomenal. She made our pre-Valentine experience wonderful. Definitely will go back and ask for her. We were on way to Wildfire when we drove past Capital Grille and decided at the last minute to change our reservation. So glad we did! Thank you Capital Grill! 10 Stars
Great NY Strip and Filet. The atmosphere at the new location is wonderful and the service impeccable.
Love Capital Grille for a special night out. We've always had great food and exceptional service. First time trying the new Schaumburg location. They initially took us to a table that was in a small room very close to other tables. We asked if we could have a booth in the main dining room instead. They gave us a table. No big deal but slightly annoying as there were many booths open.
Both steaks were way undercooked. They took them back and brought "some" new sides with our steaks but not all new sides. Mashed potatoes were cold bcz of the wait and steaks were "ok".
We didn't expect a free meal but a dessert or a drink would have been nice given the wait for our steaks. We gave a full tip despite the wait/quality of food which ended up being $250 for a split salad, two steaks, a few cocktails, and three sides.
Very disappointed in their lack of taking care of the customer. We will not go back to this location and will reconsider future visits to any location.
Amazing food and service! Will definitely be back!
MARY IS PHENOMENAL!!!!! Good was amazing!
Capital Grill is excellent! The atmosphere, service and food is outstanding. It’s expensive but they don’t disappoint!
Great service, very friendly! Food was amazing! Decorated table for birthday and did a great job setting up!
The food and dining experience was amazing!! Chef Carol is fantastic!!
Georgio was a fantastic server for our anniversary dinner. Went above and beyond to make our evening memorable.
Enjoyed the flavors on all appetizers and main dishes! Aimee is a Fantastic server and the atmosphere is modern and up to date cool. Will be back soon!
Fantastic! Great food and service!
Food was just okay. Steaks were under seasoned, bland sides- wild mushrooms, and cauliflower au gratin. Cheesecake crust soft. Much better options out there for the price.
Took my husband to Capital Grill to celebrate his birthday and the staff made to event memory. Frank was our waiter and was outstanding, in fact, request him if you decide to go.
Phenomenal lunch. Don’t miss the coconut cream pie!!
Service and food were outstanding! The filet and lobster were both cooked perfectly. My husband and I share birthdays and we were surprised with two small desserts that were delicious.
Restaurant was very busy, waited 25 minutes past our reservation time. Service was very slow, we were not served for over 2
Excellent. Gave my party of 11 a private room. Service very good. Food was good. Would recommend. Have been to other units many times. This one is 5months old but operated smoothly.
Steaks were outstanding and service was excellant...very good for very special occasionsM
Very good meal during restaurant week. I usually go to the lombard location but switched it up this time. There was not any parking but had to use valet
Parking is a nightmare at this location. There were no available spots at 6pm on a Saturday!! They need more spots, less valet reserved spots, or come up with a different solution.
The host stand was rude and almost ruined our entire night.
The waiters are friendly and helpful, and make it worth coming back. The dry aged steaks are wonderful.
I love capitol grille! It is my number one steakhouse in the US. This was the only time my steak was so charred all I could taste was burnt meat. Everything else was exceptional. I’m not sure if it was because it was restaurant week or what. I will be back for the calamari, my favorite!
Excellent all the way around! Perfectly prepared steak, generous sides & a lovely Creme brûlée’s!
The signature cocktail was beautiful
Went in for restaurant week, got seated right away. The waitress was very nice and always assuring we had everything we needed. Food was delicious especially the steaks.
Not the first time at Capitol Grill but the first and last time at this location. Took 30 minutes to put in a drink order, sat and watched others around us get served while we waited and waited and waited. When the food came out, both of our steak’s temperature was over and when new ones came out they were both under. Medium rare should not be a challenge at a high end steakhouse. We settled for our underdone steaks because we were starving at this point. Our sides sat the whole time and were cold by the time we were eating our steaks. Our server kept saying how it’s not normally like this and they were just busy. I’m sorry, but a good restaurant should be busy on a Friday night and expectation of properly prepared food and fairly prompt service is not unreasonable.
They did make an attempt to make things right by bringing out a shrimp cocktail for us. Problem was that my dining partner had a sea food allergy. When she declined and stated that she had a sea food allergy, the manager looked at me and said “ you should just eat it or it will be thrown away”. Eating sea food for me when dining with a person that is allergic is not an option unless I plan on quarantining myself from my girlfriend.
Am extremely disappointing dinner that was far below expectations.
Plenty of great steakhouses around, we will not be back.
Excellent place and food.
Capital Grille was as delicious as it always is. We had the Restaurant Week menu and upgraded to the Kona steak--my favorite steak ever. The only we were disappointed in was the add on lobster tail. It was very small and dried out. It was an excellent value.
Nice room table ready when we arrived.
Blue cheese seemed to be missing from the wedge uninspiring
my steak was perfectly cooked but the Au poise sauce was not warm.
I have dined at the Capital Grille in Chicago and it is head and shoulders
Kona crusted steaks are the best. Although I’m not a huge creme brûlée fan, their’s is decedent.
Went here for lunch during restaurant week. Our lunch and service were fabulous. Definitely would return and the restaurant is beautiful 😊
The food is always amazing at the Capital Grille. We celebrated my wife's birthday there on Monday. It was great to see that this location also serves up the Chicago Restaurant Week Menu. What a deal! Can't beat it. If you have not been to CG because it is pricey, this is the time to give it a chance.
This was our first time at The Capital Grille. We were enticed to come due to Chicago Restaurant Week. The $36 dinner option was a tremendous bargain. Our server, Katie Gillespie, was charming, attentive, and respectful. I am sure we will back for a special occasion down the road.
