We had hoped to dine outdoors but weather didn’t cooperate so we dined in. Darlene, our server was wonderful explaining the tasting and giving us recommendations. The food was just ok but enjoyed.
Outdoor seating was very nice next to the vineyards. Food and drinks were excellent. Music was great. Highly recommend
The grounds are beautiful. Had music and wine tasting outside. All that was great but the food was sub par. Charcuterie board was in a cardboard box and sparse, stone crab claws were still full of water from defrosting and flavorless. Shame, would have been a 10/10.
We were seated at 6 but it took 25 minutes and 3 times for me to ask for a server before anyone came to our table. The food was cold a d served in pizza boxes. It was awful. Our server said “I guess I will have to take care of you”. The wine took another 15 minutes and everything comes in plastic. Do yourself a favor and and go somewhere else . I never write terrible reviews but this was just so bad in every way. I have been to a number of other wineries in south Jersey and they are all better than this one. The Applebee’s of an experience.
It took too long to get waited on. Took too long for our food. The menu isn’t that great. Overpriced.
The service, Bryanna, was EXCEPTIONAL! She made our stay so so so pleasant. As we entered, we were so pleasantly greeted and offered a glass of wine and the wine club was explained to us. It was a beautiful day. My only complaint is the wine, in a small plastic cup, was way too expensive, and the food was below average and very pricey!
Beautiful grounds. Service was excellent!! Our waitress Megan made some great suggestions. The band played a good mix of different music.
The food was good. The ambiance was great. Will definitely return.
Love this place. I was blessed to propose to my lady here this past Saturday. Great time and drinks
The service was horrible and the food is outrageously priced for the portion that you get. Nice atmosphere but would never go back.
Our two servers were amazing!
Yet another wonderful dining experience at Renault! Our server was fantastic, the drinks were tasty and delicious and our food was good. We had a large party for a birthday, and we were easily accommodated. We had some picky eaters and it was a little difficult for them to find something on the menu, but what they did choose was delicious!
Very good service, great venue/ambiance. Casual menu varied and tasty, and fresh. Wine pricey, but good.
No staff smiled. It was a HOT day, we moved our own umbrella's over the table, since staff never offered. (Seemed like we were a burden, not like they were happy to serve.)
A bit pricey overall, but with good service, food, and wine.
Enjoyed a nice evening listening to live music with my family (kids ages 8-16). The food was delicious, service was very nice & the atmosphere was wonderful.
The Venue is beautiful and picturesque. Cheese board was pretty standard and their blueberry champagne was amazing!!
When we got there it was very clear they were understaffed which we understood, but we did ask for waters and never received them. The charcuterie we ordered for 20 dollars was honestly a joke. We were just very unimpressed with everything.
Don't like getting meals in a cardboard container. Also, it's a winery, wine should not be served in plastic cups. Covid is over.
Sorry to say "It was a bad experience all around". The grounds were lovely. The weather was cold and rainy, s. o we made reservations to eat inside. Difficult to find where the door was to the restaurant. Finally found a door that led to a huge room where a band was playing country music and a large circular bar was in the middle of the room. I asked the bartender where the restaurant was. He pointed to a woman on the other side of the room (hostess). She took us to another large room with wooden tables and gave us paper menus which consisted of bar food and Renault wines. We waited for awhile but no waitstaff ever approached us. Finally we decided to leave and, I am sure, were never missed.
Not much of a menu. Not much of a selection of wine. To noisy.
Don’t do the wine flight. You get 4 one ounce wines for 18 and the wine is not very good. The experience was such a disappointment and we would never go back.
They should not allow reservations and should instead have their tables be on a first come first serve basis. We had a reservation for dinner outside for 3 people at 7PM. My reservation was confirmed, and we arrived to the hostess stand at 6:50. I gave my name and told them we were a few minutes early but had an outdoor reservation for dinner for 7PM. The hostess told me it would be a 30 minute wait for our reservation, and that we could go inside now and eat or we could wait. I told her that we had no problem waiting because we were there to see the band playing outside, which we are contemplating hiring for our wedding that is already booked at this location. We went over and did a tasting outside, and sat on the sofas that were nearby waiting. At 7:30, my fiance went over to the hostess stand to ask about the status of our table and the hostess turned her Ipad around and scrolled to show us how many reservations they hadn't seated that were in front of us. We then told her we didn't mind sitting on the sofa while we waited for our table if we could get food there. I think the most frustrating piece was that we could see tables with no occupants and just trash waiting to be cleared. A very kind server came over and we got picky food to hold us over. By the time it got to 8:15 we realized that we were not going to be sat and at no point did the hostess communicate that to us. We moved over to the bar area, and watched them breaking down the hostess stand... Still no communication to us about our reservation. We are so disappointed and honestly embarrassed because we were bringing someone to show them our wedding venue and a potential band and had such a bad experience. Our servers Jordan and Justin were excellent and it's a shame, because it is a beautiful location. Just so unorganized and the customer service from the hostess stand was of the worst I have ever seen. If we experienced this a year ago, there is no way I would have booked my wedding there.
Had a reserved table, had to wait for an hour to be seated, another hour to order and another hour to get food. Never again. A total mess.
Concert,dining celebrating life
We ate inside as it was hot outside. The food was very good, and the service was good. It was pretty stark in the dining area, they could have paid more attention to decorating. It wasn’t very inviting. Also the food came out in cardboard “to go” containers with plastic utensils. I think even plates of melamine and real silverware would be better. I know the plastic glasses were because of the outside option which was fine.
We were extremely underwhelmed with our experience at Renault. We were very excited at first to see the new renovations (including the new wedding spaces) and also to try their wine and food. We drove out a little over an hour, and we were just unimpressed with our experience. Open Table made it very quick and easy to book our reservation for this passed Sunday afternoon for 2. When we arrived, we found ourselves wandering to find the host stand, or at least some signage to indicate where to go. After following a group of other guests, we found the outdoor host stand. The Hostess was so kind to find us a very shady spot from the sun and little further away from the band that was extremely loud. Our server was kind and attentive to us. We started off with some drinks; They were all out of their Blueberry champagne, which I was excited to try, so I switch my order to the Pink Champagne and my fiancé ordered the "Louie Special" wine flight and chose all white wines. When the server brought our drinks, we noticed that they came out in tiny plastic cups; When you are spending 10 bucks for a drink or 18 on a flight , I expect proper glassware; not to mention the small pours on flights for the price. We can usually find a wine that we enjoy from each winery we visit, but these wines we very lackluster, I found that they were ok.. they all tasted watered down. The Champagne was very nice, it had good flavor and it was nicely chilled. The food: again , underwhelmed for the price. I ordered the nachos with chicken and my fiancé ordered a panini. They came out in takeout boxes. Neither were worth the price, the nachos had regular nacho cheese and a small sprinkle of chicken, the panini was just ok, nothing special. We probably wont be making an effort to come back , but we are glad we got to check it off our list.
Staff was so nice and accommodating. Felt welcomed from the moment we walked onto the property. Music was perfect. Band was friendly. Will Deff be coming back
Sergio was great, the food was wonderful and enjoyed the wine and champagne. Perfect ladies night out
Atmosphere is perfect. The food I pricey for what you get. Everything should be at least 2 dollars cheaper. The wine is young needs to time to develop.
Food was great. Only complaint was the guy power washing... making way too much noise. When he finally stopped, we really enjoyed the music that was playing.
Made a reservation on Open Table a week and a half ago for 4ppl at 4pm Sunday 5/16 for a belated Mother's Day. Showed up for our reservation at 4pm and were seated by the hostess right away. Sat there for 20mins and no one came over. Saw a server taking care of tables nearby. Asked her if we could move to the empty table in her section so she could help us and she reluctantly said she had to check. Meantime, the hostess seated another party in her section at the empty table we asked to sit at. As she tried to walk passed us I said Excuse me...do we have a server? Still walking she said, no one came over to you yet? I said no. She said she'd have someone come over. Naturally the people who were just seated were already being served drinks. No one came. My mother went inside to use the bathroom which was closed because of "an incident" and no alternate bathroom was offered. Now it's been 30mins and we still haven't had one person come over to us. We got up and left. Very disappointed because we had heard good things but it was evident they do not have it together. Went to Fred & Ethel's, had great food, excellent service and a good time.
Renault Winery has renovated their entire landscape. It was a friendly atmosphere with people around us enjoying live music (on the weekends).
Band’s music was too loud. Had to scream at my friend. Server was a little slow.
Bartenders blow and nobody seems to know what to do or who is in charge. Our order of a charcuterie board came served in a pizza box... guess you could call it a charcuterie cardboard. Other than that it was pretty solid. This one chick got super drunk and was causing a scene. And her name was Debbie so it made it that much better. 8/10
Oh the place is gorgeous too.
Fun time! Lively! Great for a group! Dinner was just warm, but we were outside and it was a chilly night. 🥶
My party was outdoors for my reservation. The food was not good and the waiter was a bit lacked on serving a larger group. And when I arrived the hostess gave us seating for 2 reservations we had made but when I asked for an umbrella they couldn’t bother to find out if someone could set up an umbrella. One of your older employees finally came over to my party and asked if we would like an umbrella and set on up for us. It should of been the hostess’ job to try and accommodate us. The staff needs to be trained better on how to service customers in a large group and how to work with customers when they have a request. They service many people and the initial arrival should be flawless. They need more experienced people. However, the young gentlemen at their tasting bar was very nice, knowledgeable and friendly.
A beautiful way to spend and after. Highly recommended!
Beautiful day, decent food… the experience, however, was a nightmare. They must be seriously understaffed because all we did was wait, although our waitress, Haley, was extremely competent. (Actually she picked us up out of pity for our incompetent waiter who never showed.) She did her best, bless her heart. Aside from being plopped down amid noisy (uncomfortably, inconsiderately noisy) millennials already drunk by 2, being served our appetizer and salad after the meal, and not being served silverware by the food runner, I couldn’t wait to leave. Oh, did I mention everything is served in takeout containers? And that the food runner also forgot napkins, cutlery (plastic), and that the $8 “glass” of wine was also served in a little plastic cup? Hey, it’s one thing if the price point matches all that, but it doesn’t. The live music was nice, what little we could hear of it over the leprechaun-like, compulsive laughter punctuated with “OMG SHE IS LIKE TOTALLY OBSESSED WITH MEEEE!” If this sounds like your jam, have fun— I won’t be going back.
The food was good but overpriced. The service was pretty slow, but it was also a crowded, nice day, so it's more understandable. The wine flights were delicious along with the Sangria.
