Established in 1965 on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California, The Classic Cat finds its place across from Tower Records and two doors down from The Viper Room. A supper club that reimagines the classic American restaurant experience, The Classic Cat offers a luxurious and intimate dining atmosphere where American cuisine, drinks, and entertainment intertwine, creating a truly unique venture. The energy of the venue transforms from spirited dinner service to a lively, high-energy lounge atmosphere late in the evening, complete with live entertainment and exclusive bottle service.

Dinner reservations allow up to 4 guests for 90 minutes, while parties of 5 or more are extended a 2-hour allotment. Kindly note that the complete party must be present to be seated, and we exclusively accept credit cards at our bar.     Food and drinks were really good. The live DJ played all the hits while dining. After 11pm the venue turns into a little club. That was ok. I'd return for dining.

    Dinner choices are extremely limited. Their website looks great. The food pics look great. We drove an hour and 42 mins to get their only to find out they re did the whole menu. Tons of birthdays photos online and on IG, but the birthdays presentation is nothing like they show online. We left hungry and disappointed.

    Expect to pay over $250 for dinner for two with 2 drinks each. The food was taste. We had zucchini fries, shrimp cocktail, scallops and the sea bass. Most portions were large enough, except for the sea bass which may have had 5 oz of fish spread out on 2 sticks. The presentation was excellent with dry ice and smoke but the drinks were excessively over priced.

    It was me and my boyfriend’s first time, the place is beautiful. The drinks were strong and good, we had a food hiccup which would have killed the entire experience but our waitress Chloe and another young lady changed that all around! They had our entire food re fired and it came out perfect along with the shots, I was a waitress for 20 years and when I say the hiccup was taken care of it was a perfect night. Thank you ladies. I will be returning.

    Good food 🍗 and drinks🍸are to be found at this nice staple of beautiful downtown West Hollywood. ful decor in The Classic Old Hollywood Fashion. They need to have more of their Great American Songbook Live Musical 🎵 evenings; they're quite nice 😀 .

    HAD THE TIME OF OUR LIVES. Came here with a big group for a friends birthday and we had an amazing TIME!!! The DJs were incredible. Service was prompt and kind! And the FOODDDD!!! Listen I’ve lived in LA for 10 years and this place always has the best food. The oxtail dumplings were incredible, the spicy tuna crispy rice was phenomenal, the tuna tartare delicious… the OYSTERS AND LOBSTER MAC AND CHEESE!!! They leave you speechless so good!!! Drinks are strong, we tried everything! This place is an experience!! Definitely 10 out of 10. Thank you guys so much for such a beautiful night.

    The greeter was not very nice and made sure she told us there was a birthday party that evening so we had be done in 90 mins. The vibes she gave were just very cold. The ambiance was nice but it was 3 of us and they automatically added gratuity and two other bogus charges. One was because of Hollywood being expensive and helping them keep their doors open and another for staff insurance 🤔 The signature drinks are 25-30 and they are not great. This was Def not worth the hype. The food was a solid 3 out of 5. Was not impressed

    Super overpriced even for fine dining. Food is very standard . I made the reservation weeks in advance to be told at the door that parties of two can only seat at the bar. Not coming back.

    Pretty overpriced for small portions but the food was tasty! Enjoyed the cocktails as well. Will note that service was fine and the menu had a few typos on it. Just felt like you didn’t exactly get what you were paying for

    Made the reservation and got to the restaurant and it was closed. The doors were closed and locked. I tried calling the restaurant but there was no answer.

    Food is terrible and EXTREMELY over priced. We had 2 appetizers and 4 drinks. Our bill was $200 and they charged mandatory gratuity for a party of 2? We left after tasting the appetizers.

    The restaurant is a nice change enjoyed the decor and drink presentation. Waitress was very sweet and attentive. I ordered the seabass it was good and I loved their crunchy fries. I didn’t rate this restaurant as high due to lack of attention my friend ordered their burger which comes with fries yet we were charged for the fries that came with the burger aside from the fries ordered separately. It’s very pricey for the quality of food in my experience… we had 3 jack cokes I had their meow martini with lychee (pretty refreshing) and a Prosecco drink plus a side of fries spicy tuna and a cheeseburger with fries since they didn’t have the steak my friend ordered total $322. Just recheck your bill when it arrives to make sure you aren’t charged for something that’s already included in your entree.

    Third time coming here, took my Bestfriend to celebrate her birthday. Always loved the music and the vibe but the food was okay. Ordered the chicken and it was kinda dry and not enough flavor for $60 although the zucchini fries made up for it! I recommend ordering the zucchini fries

    Do not let the Google reviews and images misguide you! First time experience, and for sure last time experience. Walked in to a nasty oder , no proper ventilation system in kitchen. Took a look around. Place is MUCH smaller then what the images from restaurant and Google have posted. Was seated on time. Ordered drinks and appetizers. Was told by Chelsea, our server, that there is a 1 1/2 limit on table, which was not disclosed on OpenTable at time of booking (this could have changed by the time this post is made). However, since it is a rainy night and place is empty and no reservations coming in, Chelsea verbalized that we should be ok on staying longer. Based on her disclosure, we ordered drinks, repeatedly, and ordered appetizers, repeatedly. At about 10:30 a large group walked in. At 11 pm we ordered dinner with a server. 5 minutes later was told by Chelsea and later by manager, Ryan or Brian, kitchen was closed and now it is a bottle service only for the table if not we would need to leave. Our server, Chelsea, never gave heads up on a last call for food, as other experienced venues do. Neither Chelsea or Ryan took responsibility for their error in communication. Very unfortunate, specially that the large group that walked in was out as quickly as they came in and place became empty again. Poor business decision and poor lack of management experience. Honestly, there are much better local venues available with the same time limit “ordinance “ with a completely different and fulfilling, fun experience.

    Wanted to have a nice dinner/date night but was met with a lot of thirsty guys trying to hit on my girl near the bathroom and overpriced food and drinks. Literally had four marks 1 appetizer and one $36 entrée and spent $200. I didn't finish the entrée it wasn't even good. We did order another entrée but sent it back immediately. The seabass was sent back. For $56 we received a tasteless McDonald's hamburger sized fish over couscous and was flabbergasted. The service was top tier. From the moment you want in to the moment you leave. They automatically charge you 25% gratuity and some weho fee. Idk what that is but my charge was around $6.25. There were groups of men standing up near our table making everything feel uncomfortable. Just not a place for a date night maybe that's my mistake. Great if you're young and want to pick up girls. More like a club I would say and we arrived around 9-930pm.
