The Duck & The Peach is a New American restaurant in D.C.’s Capitol Hill, inspired by the fresh flavors of California and the warmth of New England. Led by Executive Chef Katarina Petonito and Rammy's Pastry Chef of the Year Rochelle Cooper, our seasonal menu features signature dishes like rotisserie duck with watercress panzanella and elegant, handcrafted desserts.

    Wine Director Omar White is pleased to invite you to an exclusive dinner with winemaker Terah Bajjalieh of Terah Wine Co. from California. Terah is a seasoned hospitality professional with a masters degree in enology and viticulture. Established in 2020, Terah Wine Co focuses on farming and light handed wine making with grapes sourced from vineyards that practice organic farming and, in most cases, regenerative farming and biodynamics. Her wines are the perfect compliment to our farm focused menu. Chefs Kat and Rochelle have paired Terah's wines with some of the best flavors of spring, including a cherry blossom themed dessert to capture the beloved peak season in DC.     We really enjoyed our meal. The duck was amazing and our waitress guided us through an excellent menu with a number of different dishes, all of which created a fun adventure.

    We had a mixed experience. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff. Most of the side dishes we tried were pretty decent. However, The mushroom polenta had an overwhelming vinegary taste, lacking the rich, earthy mushroom flavor I had anticipated. Most notably, the restaurant’s signature and titular duck, which I had high expectations for, fell short. While the meat was tender and had a good flavor, the fat was under-rendered, and the skin lacked any crispness whatsoever. Given the emphasis on this dish (and the price) I expected a much better execution. If you are going to make duck your “main thing” it has to be exceptional duck. Also, I think it is poor form to charge $12 for bread and butter, then ask us casually if we would like some more bread, only to inform us later that there’s an additional fee. Overall we left disappointed.

    Food was outstanding and the setting inside the restaurant was beautiful. The only minor issues we had were our waiter was a bit arrogant and the cocktails were small.

    The staff made our first wedding anniversary perfect! Chef Kat's creations are delightful and lead you on a tasteful journey led by her culinary genius. My wife and I were delighted to meet Chef Kat, and she is as wonderful and sweet as her desserts. I highly recommend that anyone in the DC Metro area looking for a quiet, comfortable, cozy location next to Eastern Market for a meal make reservations at The Duck and The Peach! I honestly cannot sing the praises enough! @Chef_meoww, You are Awesome! Garrison

    The service was the best I've experienced in the city in quite some time. Everyone was friendly. Our server was sincere, conversational, and knowledgeable. And of course, the food was delightful.

    The duck was terrific as were the bread, potato fritter, duck pate, beet salad and Brussels sprouts. The lamb was very good also (3 chops). That was more than ample for 4 people. Service was very attentive without being intrusive. The only disappointments were the desserts.

    We love the Duck and the Peach.. it's pricey but the food is really good and the duck is outstanding. We ordered one duck for four of us and a few sides and it was terrific. Highly recommend it. Service was good -- attentive and informative
