I have been going here since they opened. They had an Asian salad with Ahi Tuna. They dropped if from the menu. Last week they made it for me and it was delicious saying they used a champagne vinaigrette dressing....yummy. Last night they said they couldn't do it so I ordered ahi on Caesar. The ahi was to peppery, didn't even taste fresh. Very disappointed. Yummy corn bread.

We returned to The Federal on our visit since the selection, service and meal were outstanding. Dave made our family evening that much more enjoyable with good recommendations and great demeanor. We will return again when back in Phoenix.

Waiter Justin was awesome, very informative, and very welcoming. The Manager stopped by to make sure everything was good. Food was wonderful. Great Restaurant!

The only reason I gave this a 4 overall was that it was cold in the restaurant. The service, food and ambiance was excellent. Not overly ritzy, just plain nice.

Thanksgiving dinner was sub-par. Food was overly salty and sweet and presentation of the crowded plate was poor. No attention to sauces and gravy that covered everything. Biscuits prior to meal were really the best part of the dinner. Service was excellent and it was not too noisy.

On a date made reservations and the hostess tried to seat us at a 2 person table closest to the front door. Not a good call on here part so we ended up sitting at a high top by the bar.

Had a wonderful experience and the food was amazing. My wife and I had two different chicken meals that were superb and our guest had the short ribs, also outstanding. Can’t say enough about Taylor who took amazing care of us and even bought us dessert….the Butter Cake, out of this World. AJ, the mgr stopped by to check on us and thanks us for our business! We will be back for sure

Really don’t like to leave negative reviews, but the restaurant experience was not good yesterday. Our initial waitress was very sweet, but the service went downhill after that. Food was OK but service wasn’t. The restaurant was pretty much empty and there were plenty of staff but water glasses did not get refilled. (Had to ask for more water several times) our table didn’t get cleared of dirty plates although we asked more than once to have them taken away and there was zero ambience. This same experience happened several months ago too and thinking it was the one off back then we decided to give it another try, but sadly, there was no real improvement. Doubt if we will go back again. Sad, because it’s such a pretty restaurant. BTW, we did let the manager know too. 🌷

I had seen this place for a while and wanted to try it with friends. We came and had a fabulous time and great food. I was so impressed by our waiter. He refreshed our drinks non-stop. He was very nice and attentive. The drinks were delicious. Great Old Fashion. Sazerac was amazing. The food was great. The salmon dinner was cooked just right. The short ribs were tender and juicy with lots of flavor. The filet was cooked perfectly as asked....medium-rare. The desert was also very tasty. The ambiance was fun and chic. The bar is visible and fun to hear and watch. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants good food, drinks, and waiters

Meatball appetizer was outstanding…..really a light meal in itself as six mini meatballs are served over mashed potatoes with gravy and crispy fried onions. DELICIOUS. My husband’s rib eye was fair at best lacking in flavor and over cooked (ordered medium rare). We learned that the meat vendor has changed since our previous visit (is sad because THAT ribeye was the best ever!). My scallops were good but even better was the crispy pork belly served with them. (Remind me next time to ask the chef not to put all that green sprouts stuff all over it) Josh our server was outstanding great sense of humor and patient with all our questions. We were sad to see two of our favorite items had been removed from the menu! I am sure there was a sound business reason for doing that and AJ confirmed that my favorite might well be available upon request! That made me happy! Such delightful people here and it is a great evening out. The layout and decor is delightful. The staff are friendly and well trained. We will definitely return as bumps in the road are to be forgiven! Well worth a visit folks!

Went here to watch World Series Diamondbacks returned again. Service was even slower. Fortunately we weren’t in a hurry. Service extremely slow! Food was awesome and warm. Orders correct extremely slow!

Not a good experience at Federal American Grill. Came on a Saturday night and the restaurant was mostly empty. It was not busy at all and we waited an hour for our meals which the size and quality was not even close to what It should be fir the cost! It is extremely expensive for what you receive. They gave us free desserts which I didn’t even want and would have much preferred a discount for our food.

Food was good. Meatloaf outstanding. Little slow serving drinks. Taylor our server was a doll. Except, guess no one told her we were celebrating birthdays as we got birthday wishes when we sat down, but not even a sliver of cake. Haha. We never mentioned it and we all will return.

Excellent food and drinks. My GF n I split a steak and that was perfect serving for each of us. Added mushroom risotto to complete an excellent meal. Only détraction was the diamondback world series game was on every TV and loud(understandable for the home crowd and it being game 1) which distracted from the ambiance. Overall a really good experience

Food was great and menu variety also great. Service was a bit slow at times with a short delay for one or two of our party getting dinner or dessert; maybe they were short on "runners" tonight. We will be back.

Service poor. Food served cold. Messed up order on cheeseburger as it was ordered plan but served with everything on it. Only offered to have it recooked but had already waited 45 min for cold food… only one refill during entire 200.00 meal for cold mashed potatoes and poor service.
