The food was okay but not in line with the price tag. Service was great.

This restaurant never disappoints. Great food at reasonable prices - and excellent sanitation and social distancing during Covid-19. Everything I have tried here over the years has been awesome but my go-to dish is the Cobb salad with salmon or chicken. Big portion and very filling for a salad! Nice outside patio in the warmer months and plenty of on-site free parking. Great desserts and coffee, too!

Making a reservation was very easy. We were seated on time. Our server was friendly and attentive. He helped us with finding the menu online. I felt safe with the distance of the tables. The food was very good, hot and quick. We ate in the bar, and had a great seat.

Delicious, highly recommend the Buffalo cauliflower dip. Favorite!

Pleasant friendly staff seated us promptly upon arrival. Tables are separated as required for safety. Observed the cleaning and disinfecting of tables to be thorough each time. Our order was taken promptly and food was delicious. Overall experience could not have been better. Obviously a well managed establishment.

The attention to COVID protocols was exceptional. Service was friendly, prompt, and attentive. And then there was the meal which was out of this world delicious! We’ll be going back very soon!

The food is great. The nachos are out of this world. The staff is excellent. I felt very safe eating there as masks were required and the tables were socially distanced from each other.
I would eat there again in a heartbeat.

All was wonderful from the host welcoming us and taking our contact info, to the delicious meal that was ready very quickly, to our server who was attentive, friendly and efficient. Always impressed by Foreside Tavern.

I visited for the first time on New Years Eve. The food was delicious and worth the price. My friends and I plan on returning.

We had reservations, seated quickly, orders taken quickly meal arrived timely, warm and delicious. Our server was lovely.

Great salad and attentive service

Empty restaurant with average service. Haddock Chowder as good as I remembered, but the Shaved Steak wrap was greasy and too hot to handle. If they had wrapped it in waxed paper it would have been a nice touch, but as it was presented it was a mess.

Service at my table was from the bartender, and was just so-so (and it was not like he had any customers at the bar). Had to ask for water twice and all in all just a “meh” night, far below average for this location.

It won’t necessarily prevent me from returning, but they have become mediocre during the General Mills COVID-19 militancy. I suspect (hope) that it will get better, but whether others decide it is off their list is up to them.

As an aside, I truly believe that the COVID-19 pandemic will do to service establishments such as restaurants, what 9-11 did to the airlines. The quality of service will be reduced to the point that it makes little difference between a fast casual and an interesting establishment. Anyone who flew first class in the late 1990’a understands that the level of service that was provided to people in the front cabin then will likely rarely be achieved in 2020 and beyond. Similarly, the quality of service we expected at a Fore Street, or similar establishment is diminished, and I for one won’t pay what they expect for inadequate food, ambiance, and service. The difference between the airlines and victuals is that while I don’t own a plane, I can cook, and cook well. So, if y’all want to be in business, figure out how to make it worth my attendance.
