Best steaks cooked perfectly
Scallop the assume
Good service! Eggs Benedict could have been hotter and fresher.
overall it was a good brunch meal but a little pricey for eggs
we ordered the boiled lobster dinner and blackened scallops. the lobster was over cooked and they charge market price for frozen lobster the meat had none of its orange/pink color and instead was brown on the shell side and was served cold. the scallops were completely coated in chili powder (not cajun seasoning) and was served in a bowl of what I assume was clarified butter and was under cooked. my stomach was a mess the entire next day. the drinks were good. the server was polite but definitely lacked either training or professionalism. I'm not much for complaining so we ate what we could finished our drinks paid and left. nice looking place, but if your name is galley hatch you might want to step up your seafood game
Unfortunately one of our party ordered a steak done medium, it came out well done.
We brought it to the attention of our server, who took it into the kitchen and then immediately brought it back out ant stated that the chef wants us to cut in the middle because that was were the temperature was taken.
I could not believe it and asked to see the manager.
The server returned with mash potatoes and squash on the house at no charge.
The server then stated that this problem was not her responsibility and had other tables to attend too.
We are long time customers and are appalled out how we were treated.
I am not sure what is going on but will not be returning any time soon.
A Seacoast NH classic! Superb in every way, every time.
Great lunch- celebrated our Mother’s birthday and we had a cake arranged to be delivered after the lunch- service and atmosphere was fantastic!
Great food as always
Excellent food and service
Sunday brunch menu was extensive. My wife ordered the corned beef hash w poached eggs, I had it w scrambled. Huge, delicious servings of both hash and eggs, along with nice basket of mixed rolls and cornbread. Very clean and meticulously maintained facility. Very attentive service.
The food was excellent. Love love love the nachos! Filet was tender and cooked perfectly, scallops were amazing, I love the potato salad. Definitely recommend The Galley Hatch. Fun night with family and friends.
Was wonderful but pricey ! Service was outstanding.
Food was cold. Some of the food was over cooked. Slow service. Overpriced for poor quality.
The food is solid, generous portions, fresh. Our service was fairly indifferent, not inefficient, but quite perfunctory. That was the only disappointment with the evening.
The ambiance was great. Our table was right in front of the fireplace and although there was not a fire going due to the beautiful weather that day, it definitely added to our experience from the start. The staff was very friendly and professional. The food was great and the wait was not very long. We will definitely return.
As usual, everything was excellent. We were seated when we got there, which was 10 minutes ahead of our reservation. The waitress was very friendly and attentive and, as always, the food was great!
Food was great, Four of us all thoroughly enjoyed. We had reservations for Easter and service was great, was seated right on time and waitress very attentive throughout the meal
Go every time we can and for Easter
Easter dinner was great as always at the galley hatch
best prime rib we've had locally. Also the lobster and mushroom fetuccini was excellent as well.
The Galley Hatch is a great please to eat!
They have a lot of options to choose from, the food is fresh and delicious.
The staff is very friendly and professional. You won't be disappointed!
Ruben was great and calamari excellent. Making a reservation is definitely recommended
Great food and staff. Nice atmosphere, will definitely be back.
Brother and I each shared fried seafood platter with our wives. Food coming out was a little slow probably because it was fairly busy Saturday night. We made reservations and were promptly seated. The wives liked their dirty martini's.
Galley Hatch never seems to disappoint! The food is consistently good. Good service great desserts...
Highly recommend. Prompt service, good food and the waitstaff was very friendly.
Always great food there! Our server was very attentive! It’s our go to spot. Always accommodating. Great martini!!
They ran out of prime rib so I was not pleased. That’s the reason for going in the first place. The NY strip steak was perfectly cooked.
Our waitress did a wonderful job.
The others at my table enjoyed their meals. The only other comment at the table was the Sheppards Pie portion was too small.
Give your patrons a full plate - charge more for it if need be but don’t let your patrons leave hungry!!!
Overall the experience was good, just not great. We were there for St. Patricks Day with our neighbors and they just cannot seem to get all the pieces in order. Two of us had the corned beef and cabbage, luckily the corned beef was cooked correctly, but the cabbage was very undercooked, and why they use the mini carrots they do is beyond me. There was no Irish Soda Bread which would have been an easy and inexpensive items for them (considering they have a bakery), and the plate was swimming with liquids that should have been drained some. My wife had haddock which was as we expected, and my other neighbor had the Irish Stew which he though was fine.
We were here for Valentines Day as well and were not impressed with that menu as well, so its probably time to find another venue for these special occasions. We have been coming to the Galley Hatch for many years, and will most likely return for seafood at another time. Lastly they have become way to commercial for my tastes and I guess its just something they needed to do to survive......
I had the ruben which was excellent and so is the potato salad that came with it. My husband had the corned beef and cabbage and it's the first time I've seen him eat everything on his plate for a long time.
Dinner was excellent and service as well. Covid compliant and very clean. Felt extremely safe and comfortable dining. Can’t wait to go back
I've been to the galley hatch a few times now. My wife is a seafood lover. The food is good, my wife is always happy. I had a prime rib that was pretty darn good. Prices are fair. Service was good. It's becoming one of our go to places for seafood. We live over an hour away so it's worth the drive if that doesn't say enough on its own...
Stopped by the Galley Hatch for lunch with a friend. Excellent pour of Guinness, ahi tuna starter, followed by the lamb burgers made for a very satisfying lunch. I'll be going back as there are a number of items on the menu I want to try.
Great brunch! Food was outstanding - eggs benedict and the princess popover - and the service was friendly and prompt. Best bloody mary I've had in a long while as well. Definitely going back!
I won't return. Food was ok. Waitress had no personality, pushy to get food ordered. 4 people, 2 menus. We were given a 3rd when I requested. Odd. I had checked website prior to reserving regarding drink menu, but beer i wanted "not available " even though it says it is on site.. I mentioned on reservation that it was my daughter's Birthday. Nothing on table, yet outside in an igloo there was a Happy Birthday sign/message for another party that hadn't yet arrived. I suppose I should have called ahead versus communicating via a website.
We’ve always loved the Galley Hatch and have been going for years. The past year we’ve only been a couple times and each time, one or two things we’ve ordered have been out. I’m sure COVID plays a big part in how they order food, but getting there fairly early on a Saturday one would expect a bit better. The temperature was chilly inside as well, to the point of discomfort. But, service was good, food was good, prices are reasonable. Hopefully when restaurants can open up in earnest again things will improve.
Service and food was excellent!
Nice staff. Everyone doing their part to keep everyone safe. Food was decent.
A fantastic Mid day Sunday Brunch.
Old school restaurant with decent menu We love that we have gluten free options.
