The Good Earth Vineyard And Winery
Mom and I had a Valentines price fix dinner and the food and service were of the highest level, delicious and creative with attentive service and great wine paired with each course. The owner Nicolette was there and was very warm and welcoming. This was the best meal I have had there and will most definitely be back with my family.
Excellent food and decent wine make for a lovely combination. Highly recommend this quaint venue. Friendly staff and fantastic service!
Very low value to price ratio. I shouldn't have to cover myself with a blanket and sit a foot away from the next table if I'm paying $200+ for a dinner for two.
Lovely rotating menu with local fare. Potato leek soup was amazing. So was beet salad and pasta of the day. Enjoy sitting out on patio in cool weather with heaters on with great view of the vineyards.
Previously I had been to Good Earth in the summer time, and loved the ambiance and feel of the restaurant. Its patio is simply stunning. I decided to take my boyfriend for his birthday last weekend and was a little disappointed in the ambience of the indoor restaurant, as I was blown away in the summer time, but to be fair it was definitely to cold to be outside. The food was delicious and they provided my boyfriend with a free birthday dessert! The only critique I would have is to improve the winter ambience, either way will definitely be back in the summer time!
Thank you very much for joining us on your boyfriends birthday! Unfortunately we are unable to capture the beauty of Mother Nature and bring her indoors for the wintertime; But the good news is that spring is around the corner (we hope) and the food/wine are just as delicious all year round!
Excellent food a d service always consistent !!!
Excellent guests too! 😉 thanks for taking the time to send in a review
The first visit to the Good Earth Bistro, though we've done several cooking classes over the years. Food was wonderful, from the salads to the mains and finally the desert. The wine was a great accompaniment to the food. The dining room was busy but was always intimate. The wait staff was attentive but allowed us to have conversation without interruption. I recommend this highly for anyone who appreciates good food, good wine and good company.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We look forward to welcoming you back!
Love this place! The food excellent. The service is simply outstanding. Highly recommended!
We thoroughly enjoyed our pre-Chritmas lunch at Good Earth. The food was nicely presented, the plates
had been heated so the soup remained hot and was one of the best (celery root, pear and blue cheese) we have ever tasted. Our main was avocado eggs Benedict which was delicious.
We highly recommend this winery/restaurant.
This place has such a low key vibe to it. We love it. Food was really tasty. We did price fix menu of appy, main, and dessert for $40. Great value for such flavourful food. Our favourites were the brussel sprout appetizer, and duck confit. Service and ambiance were casual and delightful
Loved this cozy setting in covered, heated, outdoor patio. Service was great, food was very, very tasty with just a little punch of surprising flavour combos, for a brunch menu.
Would go back again
Beautiful location, people and the food is fantastic.
Excellent service and delicious food. We were welcomed warmly and our server was professional and courteous.
The soup was exceptional and the mussels were very good. My friend had the chicken which he enjoyed very much. Overall we were very happy with our meal.
Will definitely return.
We both had the Steelhead trout (generous portion) served with finglerling potatoes, nicely browned cauliflower and brussels sprouts which were not over cooked. Presentation was spectacular. Unoaked Chardonanny also went down well. Nice and quiet for conversation as well which is an added bonus.
Wonderful combination of food and service. Very comfortable atmosphere
Fine dining and an interesting location. Will return in summer. Despite heaters and blankets provided in dining room we were too chilly.
Good Earth is a must stop when we are up in the Niagara Region. We happened on it many years ago. Love their wine and their mission. The restaurant serves amazingly delicious and good food. They even subbed a soup for us that was not on the menu. The waitstaff is also very accomodating and on this trip, our wine tasting was hosted by the owner.
Wonderful from beginning to end! We have told our friends that they must go to your charming restaurant. The service, atmosphere & food were A++. Can't wait to go back!
We thoroughly enjoy the food at Good Earth and it never disappoints. Best French fries anywhere. I enjoyed the mussels very much. The wines are good as well.
The service and food were excellent! We will be back for sure and we'll bring some friends!
What a great lunch!
I will recommend it to all my friends. Christine was an awesome hostess and gave us the best wine pairing for our outstanding Duck Confit!
Amazing quaint spot with incredible food! Staff were very friendly. Definitely will be going back!
Celebrating Two birthdays
Food was fantastic! There were 4 of us and we ordered a bottle of the Big Fork red wine (very good!), bread basket, soup of the day which was sweet potato with feta and apples, and as mains: fried eggplant, trout, duck confit, and butternut squash pasta. They have 2 types of dessert so we ordered both and shared, a pumpkin chocolate torte and a sticky toffee pudding. Everything tasted amazing, presentation was beautiful, service was outstanding. The place is lovely and we had a great time celebrating my partner's birthday.
It came to about $50 per person, so great value!
We'll come back to try their Friday night special.
the duck and the trout, and the indoor heaters was all magic, amazing spot, will def be back.
Always great quality farm to table food! Warm and friendly atmosphere.
Delicious meal. Great atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.
Dinner was very good. Duck confit was cooked to perfection. The beet salad was fresh and lots of flavour. Visit #5 to this winery . Always outstanding
I love the Good Earth, and once again, it was a truly wonderful night. You guys are so good at what you do! I brought a friend that had never been before. She’s still raving about the meal, 2 days later!!! Trevor and co are delightful....looking forward to next visit :-)
Thank you so much for your kind words! We look forward to welcoming you back!
Rustic atmosphere. Friendly attentive service. Delicious food.
The food, wine and service were amazing. This was our first time at the winery. We loved the setting and being seated in the enclosed "outdoor" room was perfect. The heaters were on and they even provided blankets (which we didn't need). I had the butternut squash pasta with bacon and chile and the flavours were outstanding. Perfectly paired with Betty's Blend white wine. Thank you for an amazing lunch. We will be back!
We are very pleased that you enjoyed you experience with us! We try to keep the covered patio section as comfortable as possible for our guests! Looking forward to having you back! Thank you!
Amazing place. Outstanding food and ambiance!
Was a perfect spot for a fall lunch with friends. Not a Canadian wine fan but theirs was good!
Great food, great staff, great winery!!!
Thank you for the amazing eats
We were entertaining family from Indiana and wanted them to get a flavour of farm and hometown venue. They loved it all and so did we. Thank you
Love this place. Always amazing! Food and wine and people
Second time eating here and the food is good however first time we can a double stroller and staff gave us a hard time to fit it in the dinning room even when it was empty and we thought we give it another try and this time made comments about our kids toys. I’m another words not kid friendly at all.
Charming atmosphere, very good food, the salad was a bit light on the portion. Very good service.
Had a wonderful experience. Can't wait to return!
Outside chairs are uncomfortable - very hard and poor back support. Inside music can be too intrusive. I usually have to ask to turn it down/off. Staff v. obliging.
