    Really enjoyed our experience however, Sunday Brunch with a live musician blaring in the background was way too much! We could not even talk to others at our table until he finished belting out his Saturday night jams. Not what anyone wants to hear on a beautiful Sunday morning at brunch! Turn down the volume and play mellow music on Sundays, please. I would recommend this place to a friend, but I would tell them to go early on Sunday or in the evening and expect a live musician.

    We booked for 8 people, and they tried to but us on a small table that would 6 people at most. We asked for a bigger table, and they said that is for 10 or more. They said we could wait an hour for a big table in the back or have two smaller tables but not next to our family. We were with elder people for our anniversary. We had to go down the street and find a new location which service was great unlike grand on main.

    The food was excellent but we were 20 minutes after being seated before menus arrived and another 30 minutes before appetizers arrived. Fully recognize that the restaurant is understaffed but 50 minutes is beyond the pale. Our waitress did her best but I put this on management.

    Food was good but portions odd. Shrimp platter is not a platter, lots of fries with just a few shrimp. Shrimp and grits is a huge bowl of grits with gravy and a few shrimp which were hard to find in the grits. We were celebrating a birthday but server never said anything about it. Atmosphere was nice.

    We had a waitress and we could tell she was new and seems like they just put her out on her own to work and my friend order drinks one order one set and the other order a different set and they bring both the same

    The food and drinks were good. The service was ok but most definitely (the server) could have been better and more attentive. He was nice though. The atmosphere was amazing though. Would definitely come again and would recommend to others for sure!

    The food was really good. We ordered the espresso rubbed rib eye steak, and it had a great flavor. Each one of us got different sides with the steaks. The cocktails are really well made.

    We went here for a family dinner. Restaurant is nice. The service was decent but the timing of our food was off. We ordered on appetizer and our meals. The appetizer came out 5 minutes before our meal. One person in our party ordered the 3 course meal. The steak came out 15 minutes before the salad. The waffle fries with our meal were good. But mostly soggy. The food was just ok. We won’t be returning.

    Went on a Sunday for dinner. Made a reservation for a booth for 2 and we were seated immediately. We were sat by a large group & believed that our food was forgotten by our waitress. We ordered Buffalo catfish bites, wings & fried shrimp, & Mac n cheese. Our mac n cheese & fries came out cold. When the Mac finally came back out remade, we’d been finished eating for 10min. Otherwise, the food was great & ambience was nice.

    Nice place with good service. Food was tasty but overpriced in my opinion. Seven wings app was $19. Needed some extra sauce for the wings and was charged an additional 50 cents. 10% tax (although they don’t have any control over this) is a bummer in Columbia, SC. They use Toast (I’m sure this adds to the cost) and the lowest tip amount you can select is 25%. Bottom line is - good food, atmosphere and service but pricey. Probably will not return.

    The gave us a a large spoon to mix our cocktail that should say enough… Definitely not upscale at all. Drinks were sweet, lacked alcohol. Food presentation was unappetizing. The price was ridiculous for bad service and a salad with salmon and entrance. This place for date night is a no.

    Took my college student and high school student here while in town on parents' weekend. The atmosphere was fun and food was delicious; something for all of us. We bowled after we ate, which was a really fun time. You can eat while you bowl, but we enjoyed eating first. We had a lot of fun!

    The food was delicious. We especially love the pork chops and ribs. Our server was very personable although did seem to be fairly new to serving. We are always happy with our meals, service and ambiance at The Grand

    Food was not what I expected for cost…. Steak not cooked how it was requested & was $52 for 6oz., service was slow, my salmon was undercooked and we both left with upset stomachs. Ambiance was fun

    We had brunch at The Grand on parents weekend at USC. It definitely exceeded our expectations. Food and service were wonderful. It was a cool place and had a live musician playing outside. I would highly recommend and will be returning. It was so fun!

    Terrible all around really. Waited hours for apps and meals, awful service and mediocre food. IF we come back we will stick to drinks and bowling but that’s a big IF.

    I put in a special request for a note to be left for my date… that was not done. The menu selection is extremely limited and overpriced for the food to taste as “mediocre” as it did.

    This was my first time, and I will definitely be going back. Between my date and I, we had a beer, a mimosa flight, the catfish bites, the southwest loaded fries, the pork chop entree and the rib entree. Everything was excellent from the portion sizes to the taste. It’s not often that I like everything about a place, but I definitely did with this one.

    We've been 3 or 4 times but this time having made a reservation we sat for 25 minutes and were not even spoken to at our table. It was 5:15pm. Not sure if our small kids were off putting (they behaved well), maybe the kitchen wasn't open (although others had food and drinks) or maybe we upset someone somehow but the staff was well aware of our presence. They even thanked us and told us to have a good night on the way out which suggested they made a decision to not serve us to me. Good experiences on other visits so weird trip this time. Prices have jumped again too so we treat it as a special outing and a little less frequent. That being the case it was a little extra disappointing.

    The Grand is a great place. We are locals and have heard great things about this restaurant and this was a fantastic brunch spot. The food was fantastic and all of the service personnel we’re very friendly while being professional. We will be back to enjoy another of the many dishes they have to offer.

    Great food! Great atmosphere. Don’t appreciate the time limit of 1.5 hours. Felt like we were being rushed out 1 hour and 26 minutes into our meal.

    We had the chicken, waffles, huge salad, and grits. They were out of mimosa flights so we were very disappointed since that was a big thing we were excited to try on their Sunday brunch menu. Everything we ordered were large portions and tasted amazing...The pimento grits were incredible! We had a guest with hearing aids and they were able to sit us back near the bowling alley in a booth with cushions that raise you up to table level...It was also loud, but not nearly as overwhelming as the live music up front. We could sit and have conversations with the person sitting beside us. The live music really does not need to be as loud as they have it...It is impossible to hear anyone up front. We could barely talk to the front desk person. I don't think I would ever want to sit up front with its high level of noise, but that looked like a much nicer area to sit. If they get the sound figured out, this is a wonderful place to enjoy an exceptional weekend brunch menu.

    I love the Grand. Such a fun place to drink at or have a date. I took my boyfriend for his 30th birthday and the food was so good. Service was friendly and quick and the music was lovely.

    The food was delicious, except we didn’t get everything we ordered for appetizers. They came out in like three sections spaced quite a bit apart, and they forgot an order. The main course went more smoothly. The cheddar biscuits were AMAZING!

    I have eaten here in the past and enjoyed it. However, they now have robots to run the food. It is very impersonal. Our appetizers and entrees came out so quickly that from the time we entered the restaurant to the time we left, it was 30 minutes. This was too fast and didn’t make for an enjoyable experience. I won’t be back.
