Lovely setting for some good food and drinks, and very friendly service.
Really friendly and professional service with a relaxed atmosphere and the food and drink was 10/10, Ive been telling everyone to go there!
The Hostess Kate couldn’t have been nicer and the cocktails & food were outstanding. Considering all the restrictions that are in place with Covid they really went above and beyond to make the experience as normal as possible! I really enjoyed the dining experience and I will be making a habit of being a frequent guest!
H there! Thank you so much for your wonderful review :) We are so appreciative of you dining with us and delighted you enjoyed it. We really look forward to welcoming you back very soon. Warmest regards, Kate
Great food , great service
Hi there, Many thanks for our 5 stars and lovely review! We do hope to see you again very soon, Kind regards, Kate
Fantastic welcoming staff. Had a delicious dinner well worth the money. Would definitely dine again
The food and service were awful, this was my 3rd time here and each time got worse. I will not be returning.
We had a fab night in the Grayson, delicious food and great atmosphere
Lovely restaraunt! Fantastic service! Would definitely return.
Excellent food and the service was fantastic.
A very good lunch and friendly service
I was there the 15th of February, on the website was written that the valentine’s menu was available all day long (the 14th and the 15th).
To make sure that was available I called the restaurant twice and they confirm the website version.
When I arrived to the restaurant the first thing I asked was the valentine’s menu and the waiter told me that was not available.
I decided this restaurant Because I found In the valentine’s menu many vegetarian options (Important for my girlfriend because she is vegetarian).
In the end on the menu we found just one vegetarian option (was good).
We are disappointed because we asked even before came to the restaurant.
Food was nice and the staff very polite, I liked the environment.
Great venue. Very central and easy to meet friends somewhere before /after.
Excellent food and a decent wine list
Dinner at the Grayson was lovely for Valentines day dinner. Ambience was good, service was good. Starters was excellent, dessert was quite sweet but good and mains was a slight let down - lacked flavour. For the price you pay, I don't think it was at the level of quality it should be but I would definitely be back as maybe the experience will be different.
Hi Dinika, Thank you so much for taking the time to rate us. We are so sorry to hear that we really missed the mark with regards to the quality of food. We can only apologies and assure you we take your feedback extremely seriously and will use it to affect change within The Grayson. We really hope to see you again soon. Warmest regards, Flávia
Booked the Grayson for Valentine’s and we are pretty disappointed. Food: We could only choose the valentines menu and food was not great. Nothing special - the stirloin was so chewy and mostly fatty. Ambience: we were put upstairs at the highest floor and it was pretty cold. We asked the server to turn the heating on and she never did.... Service was not charming or helpful just served us basically. Unfortunately a poor experience and not great value for money. We could have had an amazing experience at other restaurants we love going to but sadly they were all booked out for valentines. The Grayson wasn’t and now I know why.
It was our second visit and on request the music was turned down. Service was wonderful. Food great wine was good but a bit over priced. We will be back and will be recommending. 🤗
I usually love the Grayson but wasn’t very happy on this occasion. We were running late which I advised staff about, on arrival we were seated in the Atrium because I assume our table had been given away which was disappointing. It was empty with no atmosphere. The waitress was nice but didn’t check on us much and I felt forgotten about given where we were seated.
Celebrated my birthday here last week. Unfortunately there wasn’t as much atmosphere as I hoped. The restaurant is divided into rooms and it might have just been where our table was.
Had the tortellini for starters, and I found it quite bland. Then had the fillet steak which was gorgeous and cooked perfectly to my taste. And then for desert I had the chocolate delice which was very rich, it was nice for a few tastes and then it just felt as though I was eating a block of fudge/caramel. I wasn’t overly impressed with the starter or desert but really enjoyed my main course as did the others at my table. Cocktails were also very nice. Service was good too
It was grand, but nothing special. I wouldn't go back or recommend it to anybody. The best part was the window view and location.
The staff were nice overall, except the waitress serving us who actually gestured towards the menu instead of bothering to actually open her mouth and ask "So would you like anything to drink or do you need a few minutes?". Very odd experience altogether.
The fillet and striploin steaks were just okay imo. If you've eaten a good steak before then you can really appreciate a good steak, however these were just average. Quite pricey for the quality (30 and 32 euro)
I used the Grayson for a client lunch.
Got a lovely table, service was attentive, food was excellent and great value.
I will return
Felt like a king and part of the family at the same time. The food is great but service like this is rare.
Lovely restaurant, lovely atmosphere, not stuffy and really good food, would highly recommend
Interesting and fun creative open space for an easy and un-pretentious meal. Attentive service.
Absolutely dreadful, would never go there again , standard very poor, not what i expected!
A complete disaster, meet & greet at 7.30 was good we had a table booked for 19.45 , we were informed that our table would be ready at 8 so we thought about having a cocktail prior to dins , we were told the bar had standing room only so we went to the Merrion hotel for a cocktail on our return we were left standing in hallway & dismissed and we were informed that are table was given away & they might do us a favor & find one for us 😳, we were brought up to the eves & we were informed by the waiter that it was the least favorite table in the house , so we left your establishment , and went home delighted we didn’t stay as we were treated really dismally,
Food is average and service is very poor. Unless you are in the conservatory the ambiance is not great. The other dining rooms are very poor: small, loud (sound bounces around), poorly lit. When we arrived there was a table beside us that had dirty glasses left on it and they were never cleared.
I booked The Grayson online for lunch pre concert in National Concert Hall for my niece and I . The only available table was for 12 midday! I arrived 12 minutes early only to find the door was locked. Ironically the weather was inclement....stormy and wet! I had no umbrella and was soaked through. I rang the number and spoke with a female who assured me she would open the door. The door was opened at 2 minutes past midday. I was very disappointed that the female with whom I spoke did not open the door and have me shelter from the inclement weather. These were unusual circumstances and I feel staff should in this instance be more accommodating. No apology was given to me for keeping me standing outside in the rain. This I must say left me very disappointed. Apparently the restaurant opens at 12, I unfortunately did not know this. I feel why have a table booking at 12 when the restaurant only opens at 12.
The roof leaked,( as a result of the weather), in the bar and near the toilets which was a problem.
The food is very good, however a little overpriced! The ambience is pleasant. The staff are pleasant however should give customers a little more time to browse the menu!! Overall eating experience was very good.
Service was slow. Ambience dead. Portions too small and overpriced although wrap was nice.
We arrived and waited to be seated for 10 minutes as nobody was on the front desk. Then we were seated and waited another 10 minutes before water was served at our table. We ordered 2 drinks and then waited another 15 minutes, the waitress said our drinks would be on the house as we waited for long for them- so thank you! Service was shockingly bad for our food. My starter came semi cold but no waiter or waitress came around for me to tell them. We sat around dirty tables waiting to be cleaned for 30 minutes. The best thing about the meal was my Fillet Steak, that’s definitely boosted the review rating up. Other than that- would definitely not go again. I’d understand if the restaurant was busy so that’s why things may take a little longer but the restaurant only had a few tables full. We may have gone on a bad night but I would not recommend.
Went for a birthday. Great service from staff.
Our experience at The Grayson was lovely, with delicious food and lovely wait and bar staff. The decoration of the restaurant is exquisite, cosy, warm and modern.
Food and service was good, but found the restaurant very cold. We sat beside a cold radiator and asked twice for the heat to be turned on. I had to wear my coat for the entire meal!,as did the couple sitting next to us. Not good enough!
We had a really relaxed lunch here. Food and staff lovely.
Could’ve been a bit more efficient - food was great and good price for what we had
Beautiful wine and cocktails, food was lovely. The toilets were tip top too! I cheated and had the burger, but my partners chicken melted off the bone. Loved the ambience where dressing up would work, but I was right at home in my jeans.
Lovely setting, great food but we were a party of 4 and we were all Frozen!! We would have sat longer and enjoyed a few more drinks but we left because we were so cold.
Will be back though
Bought a client to The Grayson for a late lunch. Despite the booking they were not ready for us and had to make up a table in the top of the house which was empty on arrival. It was very busy and we were not a priority. Most disappointing was the food which tasteless and poorly executed. I could not eat the dessert. I would be very reluctant to return and would not recommend to someone looking for a tasty lunch.
Our meal was very nice. Our table however was near the door and everytime it opened/closed we felt the cold.
Fab meal, fab atmosphere, fab service I
f a little slow given how busy they were. Loved it!
Really enjoyed our food. My trout main course was excellent but there was more accompaniment than fish. All the veg and garnish was superb but the piece of trout was very small in my opinion. Service was a bit slow between starters and mains but we are at the busiest season of the year so I guess it’s to be expected. Overall good experience and we shall return.
We had a lovely lunch in the Grayson the food was gorgeous and the service was great. We were able to stay and have a leisurely afternoon with no rush for our table which was great.
