The Ivy Cobham Brasserie
Very welcoming staff. Seated at the bar for cocktails and then shown to our table in the conservatory. Very nice setting. Very good staff and a lot of them. Excellent food.
Food delicious, ambiance great, would definitely return.
I'd just been to the Richmond Ivy in the same week and last night's Cobham Ivy food and service were nowhere near the quality and attentiveness of Richmond. I had to ask a waiter to take away our empty starter plates after they'd been sitting empty in front of us over 20 minutes. The sirloin was not cooked correctly and drinks took forever and we had to flag someone down to try to order our seconds which finally came right before dessert. One of the signature cocktails had a major ingredient missing. So disappointing.
First class service and food, great from start to finish
Busy restaurant, even though it was a Tuesday evening. Server was excellent - very attentive and friendly. Food was delicious.
Drinks took a long time to come - bar was clearly overstretched and waiting staff were chasing drinks for many tables.
Table for two felt a bit like sitting in a corridor... and quite packed in.
I booked this venue during my birthday celebration week. It was for a table of 4 and I had tried to put the time back by 30 mins due to a member of the group running late. I tried to call the restaurant and had to make several attempts before getting through to a member of staff who said they couldn’t change the booking. When we arrived we were shocked to see that the restaurant was full! The service at first was a bit slow but the food was delicious and overall we had a lovely evening and I will definitely return.
Very good food and service. Bit pricey, though. £6 for a small bottle of beer?
Having been to The Ivy Cobham on a number of occasions over the past year we were shocked on our latest visit that all Covid protocols had been dropped. No staff were wearing masks, there was no temperature check on arrival and most customers were not wearing masks when not seated at their tables.
The restaurant was very busy and service was very erratic - a wait of over 10 minutes for pre dinner drinks, after 20 minutes we had to request that our food order was taken, main course arrived as soon as the starter plates were removed.
All in all far below the normal experience we've had at this restaurant.
Lovely food and excellent atmosphere with not intrusive but very discerning staff
Retirement gathering, great venue & service. Great food / value for money . Enjoyable afternoon.
Fantastic meal, as always. I had the pan fried salmon an ordinary dish but with the accompaniments that came with it , it was outstanding, my husband had the the monkfish and prawn curry, plenty of fish and prawns . We can’t wait to go back.
Brilliant!! A must go to place. Definitely on my 'lets do that again' list. Thanks IVY!!
Food was excellent, staff were amazing.
A warm greeting from front of house and also table waitress. Both commentated on Diamond Wedding Anniversary but birthday celebration forgotten. Lovely touch to bring a little cake to celebrate though. Food was great. Service polite and attentive.
Very good breakfast and the service was amazing. Definitely recommend
Nice friendly welcome, good atmosphere, comfortable round table for 3. My wife and my daughter had the cheese soufflé starter and loved it. I chose tempura prawns and squid which looked and tasted as if it had come out of the freezer - but it was OK. My wife had the fish cake and my daughter had the Keralan chicken curry and they both enjoyed them. I had lobster linguine and it looked like it had been prepared and kept warm for a while - but again it was OK. Two chocolate bombes and a crème brulee for dessert - all delicious. One glass of VC champagne - fresh and cold, 2 non-alcoholic cocktails, a nice bottle of Sancerre (£70), a bottle of sparkling water and a cappuccino. Circa £250 for 3 including service (which was very good). Not quite excellent, but I would return without doubt.
The Ivy burger is excellent and our waitress Lucy was lovely.
It's a bit crowded after having more space for so long with social distancing but if you can get past that it's a fantastic place for dinner.
Loved our time at The Ivy Cobham. Wonderful location and excellent food. Thank you
Table for 5 people was a little on the small side.
All food was lovely except for the fish and chips which 1 member of group said the fish was tasteless.
Service was great.
When on site - it was excellent and all of the rave reviews are warranted.
I wanted to try and move the reservation back 30 minutes. - this was 90 minutes before the table time. I started ringing the number at 12:30 and the answerphone only directed me to the email confirmation. The 'move' option with the email was not available without downloading the app. I created an account and repeated the attempt to find that the table server was down. When I finally got the app to work it asked me to ring the number! 60 minutes later and no reply. Due to high call volumes. So the feedback would be - I suggest that you update your phone messaging to avoid this loop for other clients.
Prosecco was not cold ! They put in ice bucket but still was not cold enough.
Spoke to manager and he gave us a free cold glass each.
But the wine should be chilled before serving
Always a lovely time there
We had a lovely experience and the food, service and attention was excellent. The food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole lunch occasion. We will definitely visit again.
Great food and service.
A good job we were early as the car park is inadequate
The service was great, could not rate Ambience higher as we were sitting in a bit of a 'walkway' so everyone going to the toilet or being seated at the back of the restaurant walked straight past us. One of those things, in hindsight we could have asked to move but hey ho.
The food was delicious, really really good. could not give food and drink 5 stars though as ordered the Provence Rose at £14.50 a glass, and it was not very cold so had to request some ice for it - which took a little while to come meaning I had to wait before I could enjoy it. Not a huge deal but worth mentioning as was I was really treating my self opting for that wine, so was a shame it when was not perfect already when it arrived.
Overall though, very enjoyable experience, beautiful food and decor and our waitress was very attentive.
Will be back again soon for sure!!
Sadly for us on the day, there was a torrential downpour as we arrived. This necessitated the outside diners to be relocated to inside tables. The staff coped heroically with the situation. Unfortunately it affected the level of service to us and we were seated in a small corner in a busy passageway and not the main dining area. After being seated, we were left sitting for quite a while before a waiter arrived to serve us. He was very professional and apologised for delay. We ordered the Brunch which arrived without undue delay and the presentation, portion size and quality was excellent.
But for the noise from the number of young children and babies who had been relocated to inside tables, overall we were pleased with our food and would definitely rebook mindful that Sundays can be frenetic at this particular branch.
Lovely decor, delicious food and friendly service. A tiny bit slow to make our drinks order when we arrived and also took some time to make eye contact to get the bill. Overall a lovely meal and atmosphere.
We sat outside for our lunch, I think customers would benefit from more comfortable chairs with cushions , I found the seat very uncomfortable
We enjoy going to The Ivy in Cobham, it is consistent and good value.
I usually have the best time and service at the Ivy so took my other half for a very special birthday and unfortunately wasn’t great at all.
I had egg shell in my breakfast and asked for white toast for my daughter but out came brown.
We were sat right by the door so couldn’t soak up the atmosphere.
Wonderful food, wonderful service. All just perfect.
A lovely evening with good food and excellent staff.
Much improved from May when l last visited.
Though slightly expensive
The food was good and the service was very good.
Enjoyable evening sat outside which was lovely
So good to see the bar area being fully utilised with the staff unmasked. Atmosphere was excellent
Staff were courteous and attentive. The food was delicious and I love the Cobham Ivy. They even recognised our anniversary. Very thoughtful!
Very disappointing, staffed rushed our meal and kept reminding us we had to leave at 730. At 630 they wanted us to order deserts and when we asked to wait they remind us again we had to leave my 730. But every 5 minutes after they kept looking for our order, ruined the evening and a long awaited catch up with friends
Great atmosphere, lovely ambience. friendly waiters and extensive menu.
As always an exceptional experience. Service is outstanding. Food well presented, seasoned appropriately and always very tasty. I would like to see some further variations on the main menu, particularly the mains. Ambience is fantastic and I do appreciate the relatively relaxed atmosphere in terms of attire. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Great food, service and overall experience! Advise to park in one of the main car parking areas c.5mins walk away.
The service at The Ivy cobham was faultless!
Food was lovely and enjoyed the atmosphere. I will be returning soon
Lovely atmosphere and food as always
