The Ivy Cobham Brasserie
As always a great evening. The service is incredible. A knife was dropped accidentally on my back and without any complaint or request a glass of champagne was delivered. Love this place.
An attractive and buzzy setting. The food was well presented and of a good standard. The bar was well run and the staff were very pleasant.
Awful Cote de beouf. Meat didn’t taste fresh, ordered medium came rare. Below average. Style over substance.
Lovely to be able to return to the Ivy Cobham.
Very busy evening but staff attentive and on the ball as usual.
Food delicious and beautifully presented.
Lovely surroundings Nice meal, la vast selection of food & drinks however service very slow & had to wait a longtime for our first drinks which actually came after our starters which was disappointing..
Always a treat to dine at the Ivy!
The regular bistro menu but in a more relaxed village atmosphere in Cobham. Restaurant is deceptively larger than it looks from outside but the drinks and food is top quality as ever with great service and a very pleasant ambience. Ideal for family dining
We celebrated our wedding anniversary, which I had stated on the booking not expecting anything but was welcomed with "Happy Anniversary" when we were seated. The food was delicious (but it always is) and the waitress was a delight.
When they brought out our desserts, they sent out an additional plate of a large profiterole with a happy anniversary chocolate on which was a lovely finishing touch to a very enjoyable meal.
waitress was exceptional fast service very attentive will most defiantly visit again
It was a special occasion and we both enjoyed the scallops and Blackmonkfish and Sole. We will definitely return ASAP
A little disappointed that the menu hadn’t changed, we enjoy coming regularly but need a different menu
60th birthday celebration.
Lovely evening in the Ivy Garden. Outside well covered with heaters. Dominic our waiter was excellent and the food very good.
Fantastic evening. Superb service and food was absolutely delicious.
Only slight criticism is that the tables were rather close together.
We had a very enjoyable evening food was lovely, wine was good and service outstanding
Probably the best place to come to in this part of Surrey for lunch, brunch and afternoon tea, food is good, service is great and the prices are reasonable
Went for afternoon tea as a special holiday treat. The staff were brilliant, the afternoon tea was amazing and we had the best time. Thank you
Fantastic place. Food and service was epic. Easy parking. Lovely gardens and shrubs will definitely be coming back.
Rather disappointed considering it’s supposed to be a cut above other restaurants. Poor service- 15 mins before anyone came to our table . A starter of not overly fresh , luke warm scallops drenched in a dull sort of pea sauce. Main dish - monk fish curry , which again was lukewarm and the fish not fresh tasting . I sent it back. Apologies were proffered along with the usual ‘The chef says it was freshly delivered this morning’. This is neither here nor there - by the time it got to my table it was no longer fresh. Had it been left standing ? Reheated? I don’t know. And I don’t want to hear the case for the defence either. Anyhow the replacement, sirloin steak, was very nice . The wine was good too. But it’s all very expensive and because of our disappointment w the food and the overall tardy service, we shan’t be going back in a hurry
Initially table was very boxed in by other tables too close. I asked for a quieter less cramped table fir quiet business chat and was delighted with small table by doors to garden. Waitress was polite, engaging and friendly. Food lovely but bill always seems a great deal more than you expect. Beautiful restaurant, and food, but pricey!
Excellent service, friendly, welcoming staff. Good food and a lovely setting and garden area.
Always enjoying coming to Ivy Cobham - great atmosphere, food and service
I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at the ivy with my husband and daughter. The service was fantastic and they were very child friendly and accommodating. The food was incredible too. Overall we had a fantastic experience. Will be visiting again!
Great night with excellent food. Will definitely head back soon.
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we loved the whole experience and were very well looked after. Beautiful decor, great menu and the most delicious food. We sat outside and the heaters were very good ( much more stylish then the usual patio heaters). Blankets were also provided if necessary.
Great range of drinks too.
Very attentive and professional waiter.
The ambiance was romantic and the lighting, greenery everywhere was beautiful.
Would definitely recommend The Ivy in Cobham.
Also, not aware of any music which is great as it is really all about the natural atmosphere.
The afternoon tea was disappointing. There were just 3 sandwiches and two of them on very dry bread and very small. The desserts were excellent, but took a very long time to be served. Parking was limited and we had to negotiate a very small car park with an elderly relative who cannot walk far. The restaurant was too closely packed with no social distancing. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and the ambience was nice.
Very disappointed with the afternoon tea but we have since received an apology from the general manager and a complimentary bottle of champagne.
Overall nice. Took ages to serve and I felt some main portions were very small.
A hidden gem. Only downside was some of the other guests.
Nice enjoyable lunch birthday celebration for my wife ,although a waiter had a mishap by letting a tray of drinks fall and spash water etc over the birthday girl, at another table he was serving ,do understand that accidents do happen although I thought somebody would enquire if everything was ok after the incident ,didn't want to make an issue of it at it was a birthday celebration ,all in all a nice experience with a spoil of a birthday treat thanks ,
Service was attentive and discreet. The food was amazing and the little birthday pastry that was served to my husband was so thoughtful. Many thanks, see you soon definitely.
Very welcoming staff. Seated at the bar for cocktails and then shown to our table in the conservatory. Very nice setting. Very good staff and a lot of them. Excellent food.
Food delicious, ambiance great, would definitely return.
I'd just been to the Richmond Ivy in the same week and last night's Cobham Ivy food and service were nowhere near the quality and attentiveness of Richmond. I had to ask a waiter to take away our empty starter plates after they'd been sitting empty in front of us over 20 minutes. The sirloin was not cooked correctly and drinks took forever and we had to flag someone down to try to order our seconds which finally came right before dessert. One of the signature cocktails had a major ingredient missing. So disappointing.
First class service and food, great from start to finish
Busy restaurant, even though it was a Tuesday evening. Server was excellent - very attentive and friendly. Food was delicious.
Drinks took a long time to come - bar was clearly overstretched and waiting staff were chasing drinks for many tables.
Table for two felt a bit like sitting in a corridor... and quite packed in.
I booked this venue during my birthday celebration week. It was for a table of 4 and I had tried to put the time back by 30 mins due to a member of the group running late. I tried to call the restaurant and had to make several attempts before getting through to a member of staff who said they couldn’t change the booking. When we arrived we were shocked to see that the restaurant was full! The service at first was a bit slow but the food was delicious and overall we had a lovely evening and I will definitely return.
Very good food and service. Bit pricey, though. £6 for a small bottle of beer?
Having been to The Ivy Cobham on a number of occasions over the past year we were shocked on our latest visit that all Covid protocols had been dropped. No staff were wearing masks, there was no temperature check on arrival and most customers were not wearing masks when not seated at their tables.
The restaurant was very busy and service was very erratic - a wait of over 10 minutes for pre dinner drinks, after 20 minutes we had to request that our food order was taken, main course arrived as soon as the starter plates were removed.
All in all far below the normal experience we've had at this restaurant.
Lovely food and excellent atmosphere with not intrusive but very discerning staff
