The Ivy Marlow Garden
Attentive waiter, food , particularly the steak tatare was very good , they had Silent Pool gin , nice atmosphere , buzzy , no rush , but good attention paid - waiter was very good
We had a great evening for my Friends birthday. Our waiters were lovely and very friendly which was lovely. At the end the waiter brought a pastry with a candle for my friends birthday which was lovely... Always love dining at the Ivy in Marlow.. Thankyou for helping my friends birthday to be special...
We were so impressed with the Ivy & it didn’t disappoint! We sat in the garden which was so pretty! Great service & food, we will definitely be back!!
Had a very enjoyable first visit to the Ivy in Marlow. All went well and I'll happy return at a future date.
Positives. Easy to book, nice ambience, varied menu, food REALLY TASTY, good service.
It is a touch on the pricey side, but conversely the food was really good. On balance I think it is fair pricing. I had the Ivy Shepherds Pie and it was really flavorsome, although I was slightly surprised it didn't come with any veg - arguably I should have ordered a side portion, however I do feel this should have come included. My sarter (souflee) and desert (apple pie) were yum!
The staff and food were both great, just felt a bit rushed between courses, no time to have a breather.
The Ivy Marlow has an amazing ambience. The food & staff make it a special occasion always.
We sat outside under a large umbrella. Luckily it didn’t rain!
The good was beautifully presented and served by the nicest waiter in a very long time!
Normally we really like the Ivy, but the food was a bit hit and miss yesterday; nothing bad, just not great which for £60 a head is what you would expect.
For example, one of the party had a blackened cod and it was too moist, not "black" enough and a little too translucent; another person had the peruvian chicken and remarked that it was "a posh nando's".
Service was excellent as always, we would give it another go because we have had other, better, meals there.
A treat for my cousins 60 th disappointed as drinks almonds and main all come at once felt like McDonald’s
Fabulous service, food and setting … the whole team were just excellent… lovely happy faces and a delight to have lunch in such a beautiful setting x
My daughter and myself stay quite often in Marlow and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere for breakfast or brunch in The Ivy. It’s not the cheapest place to eat but well worth it when on a special occasion.
Fab breakfast at the Ivy Marlow- now officially fab of all Ivy vista ever! Sat in conservatory area. Beautiful and staff very attentive. Breakfast was fab and subs made to fit in with my fussiness air con was quite fierce which meant food went cool quite quickly- only downside. Will be back for dinner soon!
Fab table outside. Service was gr8
The food was lovely and our waiter was really attentive and nice.
Excellent restaurant with beautiful decor . Staff very attentive without being intrusive . Food good . Nice for an intimate meal or family / friends party .
I’m going to start with the Ivy is a lovely plush place to eat and relax but yesterday they simply got everything wrong ! I would also point out that it’s never happened in all the Ivy s we ve frequented and this the Marlow Ivy ! Richard the usual Maitre de is excellent and so is the service ! But yesterday our appetisers had been ore cooked and were cold ! Our starter dishes were still on the table when the mains were delivered ! We didn’t get any wine despite ordering same time as food until the mains came ! My egg was hard despite me asking does it come with a runny egg but worse of all was my husbands fish curry was served Luke warm with raw fish ! The front of house lady was excellent and gave us our meal complimentary which was lovely of her but it wasn’t what we were used to so hoping next time it will be back to being brilliant
Vegan menu restricted. Curry or salad. Fruit For Dessert.
Well run restaurant and High quality delicious food
First time to The Ivy in Marlow although been to other Ivy chain restaurants before. As always, ambience, service, food quality was excellent. Our waiter (sorry, didn’t get his name, but a graduate of the Italia Conte drama school) Was excellent. Very attentive, helpful, courteous and charming. He couldn’t do enough for us. One small criticism...the stairs to the toilets were greasy and slippery. Clearly caused by the kitchens being half way up the stairs. Would recommend to find a good solution for this as could be very dangerous if someone were to slip and fall on the stairs. But overall a first class experience and will definitely be returning to an Ivy restaurant in the future. Thx
It’s great having a all day restaurant that serves great food
Lovely visit, the setting was beautiful and food was amazing
Fabulous lunch on a fab table ….welcome great ….Tom our waiter was excellent !…will definitely be back !!…..
Fantastic food and service would definitely go again
Whilst this is a very nice place we were placed right at the front and got to see very little of the decor and could really have been anywhere. The service was good and staff polite and friendly. The food was well cooked and presented but a little overpriced especially as the chicken Milanese came with no sides included and so had to pay £3.95 for a portion of chips to go with it. The lunch was part of my daughter’s 21st birthday celebrations and the best they could do was present her with a tiny cream sponge with a candle in it! Many other restaurants give a free drink or choice of dessert. Thought that was a little tight considering their prices. Nice but won’t rush back.
Lovely ambience. Well spaced tables. Very polite friendly service
Too noisy due to bare floorboards. Crispy duck salad, five pieces of hard fried skin, half an inch thick, inedible, a disgrace for £8 something. Coffee before sweets arrived. Would not recommend.
Beautiful restaurant, peaceful, delicious and fab service.
Lovely breakfast to celebrate a birthday. Very attentive waiter who noted it was my daughter’s birthday and brought her a little cake. Nice touch! Excellent service all round!
A fabulous evening celebrating various special birthdays
Great return visit to Marlow. Great food and very attentive service. Would recommend.
Argument about our drinks order at the table and cold eggs. Sadly not their finest hour.
If you are worried about social distancing and the restaurant team wearing masks. That's all gone. Very few wearing masks and tables close together again.
Still hand sanitizer on the tables.
Will be back as its one of our 'treat' places but probably not for a while.
Can not wait to return.
Location, choice, service, setting all very good.
We had a great brunch. Really baby friendly which is fantastic
Lovely evening. Thank you so much for making such a special celebration
Best around when taken together food quality, price, service and ambiance. Never disappoints.
Holy guacamole what a great night! The menu choices are fantastic - I literally wanted to try everything! The decor is lovely too - so different and unusual - very cool! Favourite things were the chocolate bombe dessert and The Candy Man and Ivy Sling cocktails. Can’t wait to go again!!
Fabulous venue and great food! Such a treat for the senses.
Service was a bit slow and a round of drinks which I ordered were forgotten until I chased this up.
Great location, lovely food and friendly service. Only negative was when the bill came. We had a voucher for afternoon tea for 2 (bought and received as a birthday in March this year). The voucher states it’s valid for 12 months, yet the first bill showed it as only part payment.
When questioned I was told that it’s “a problem with head office” as the price had gone up. It was eventually resolved as I held my ground - insisted I would only cover extras and the service charge, the voucher covered the cost of afternoon tea for 2.
This really isn’t acceptable service. If you sell vouchers for people to give as gifts, the recipients shouldn’t have to pay more… or be put in the position where they have to question the bill. Leaves a rather unpleasant taste.
Shame as it took the edge off a very lovely afternoon tea experience… you can do better than this!
