Staff is always friendly and service is great. Food was good. Covid has taken some of the energy out of the experience. Miss the live music and spirited pool games. We are always happy to return.
We dined in an igloo at 5:00 on a Friday! The experience felt very safe and warm. Would recommend for anyone nervous about indoor dining at the moment. The food was very good as well, only complaint was that the fries were a bit too salty. We would come back.
Very quaint, clean and a great menu! Wonderful beer selection!
Ate in an igloo, nice experience. This was our second time and food was amazing. We got the filet for 2 on Valentine’s Day and it was perfectly cooked to our liking. Highly recommend!
best french onion soup ive ever had. entrees were good too. had the tavern feel we were expecting from the pictures. if at sunday river again i would go back
Loved our experience in the igloo. Food was amazing, it was toasty warm and we felt totally safe. Thank you!
Wonderful outdoor igloo experience. Food was great! Will be back for sure
We’ve been here several times but, this time the food was just mediocre. I would recommend for a quick burger not for any special occasion.
Nice restaurant, friendly staff. Completely enjoyed our dinner.
The menu posted on open table was not the same menu they offered us at the restaurant. It was much more “tavern” style food than a nicer dinner we were expecting. My husband ordered a NY strip steak that was mostly fat/gristle to which he could not even eat. I had chicken caprese, which had a good flavor but was overcooked and hard to chew. We did let the server know how inedible the steak and he offered to have another made but we were already pretty disappointed with the food. The server did feel bad and did take 20% off our bill which was very nice of him. I would probably never return to this restaurant again.
Its probably not fair to give a rating at this time of Covid. They are operating with limited staff, a trimmed down menu and restricted facilities. They did their best under the circumstances.
The service was horrible on 3 different occasions. We were forced to get up and ask where the server was or why we didn’t have drinks that we ordered 15 mins prior. For lunch we spent 1.5 hours and it wasn’t that busy. The checks with a couple drinks and meals only pushed $90 so plan to spend lots of money on pub grub and poor service. If you are staying there it’s your only option unless you have time to leave. We didn’t.
Great food! Outdoor dining was perfect for a date night with my husband.
We went that night to hear Jim Gallant on guitar who we enjoy. Had to ask hostess to send server so we could order a drink after 15 minutes even though was not crowded at 7:45 (early for our 8pm reservation - may have just thinned out) Saw another table walk out as no one came to take their drink order as it did get more crowded . I had the chicken Milanese which was crispy chicken over a salad and pretty good although the chicken was a bit dry. Companion had the burger and he enjoyed it. Fries were very good and burger cooked medium as requested and not overcooked a he usually finds other places. Moose tracks ice cream for dessert was superb. Will go again but now know to be assertive if not having attentive server.
Food was good overall but overpriced for the quality. Service was attentive but we were seated in an area near the entrance and cold air kept coming in so it wasn’t a great location.
This is a perfect family restaurant. It is on the lower level of the Bethel Inn and has a pool table and video game for the kids when they get bored. The menu is limited, but good. I had swordfish and it was tasty, but over cooked. Same for the salmon. They had a beef filet special which was quite good. I would go there again.
This is the second time in a week that we went. The first time was a great experience. We had beer and appetizers and was with Simon, a friendly and attentive server. This time they seemed to have lost some staff. We waited for a long time without even offered water. The rib dish was flavorful, surprisingly with no bone. The rib eye steak was cooked just right but was not of a good quality meat. We had wings and prime rib before and those were excellent. Prime Rib is only served Friday and Saturday nights.
Very good service, great guitar player, the food was burnt on 3 out of our 8 plates.
Excellent. A great place to celebrate my husband's birthday. Dined by the fireplace. They even put birthday candles on his dessert.
Holiday weekend at nearby Sunday River ski area. As a respite from the chaos on-mountain, the Millbrook tavern was comfortable with live music (at a dinner conversation compatible level), varied menu, attentive and prompt service. Reservation very easily and conveniently arranged through Open Table.
