The Old Triangle Irish Alehouse - Sydney
Marvelous food and service.
Upon arriving with reservations we stood by the “wait to be seated” sign for a long time with staff walking by not even bothering to say anything not even a comment to say someone would be with us. I had to ask a waitress who was not very friendly and she told us to remain standing there eventually someone would be with us. Our waitress was nice but all the wait staff just seemed not happy it wasn’t a very happy atmosphere. I won’t be back to this place.
I would recommend this pub, however I would stay away from the seafood linguine. You would think in Nova Scotia that it would be a must have, however they add sambuca to the sauce?? You never add a liquor to a sauce unless it's a drizzle. It made the sauce very sweet and uneditable. The seafood in the dish were incredible, but again the sauce was not good. Stick to using sambuca in a flambe. The lamb shank dinner was also very poorly executed. Meat was unseasoned, and gamy tasting. Gravy was more of a soup and the flavors did not mix together. It's a pub...stick to the home made burgers and deep fried foods for the best results.
Awesome Corned Beef Sandwich & Gingerbread along with Live Music Entertainment at lunch time.
We were there for a pretty Celtic Colours Concert meal and it was very good.
We came before the Grand Finale of Celtic Colours concert in Sydney. The Irish stew and lamb shank plus the halibut special did not disappoint. Our server went above and beyond to assist us with local questions we had. We are glad we made a reservation.
Great Murphy’s, mussels and seafood chowder!
It was the night Chicago played
At the Centre 200 and was extremely busy on a Sunday evening. Hence, Service was a
Little slow but worth the wait.
Thoroughly enjoyed my chicken
Curry with mushy peas on a bed of
French fries. Would go back and
Order it again. Although such
A varied menu i would have to try
In Sydney for the weekend and definitely would go back.
Awesome place. Stopped here on a cruise stop. Sydney is quiet so we looked for a cool local place. Found it!
Great bar and restaurant. Didn't like my food. Seafood chowder.
Found it expensive for what I ordered.
Night out with friends. Liked the live music. Although I think they forgot my hubbys fish and chips. But we had nachos to much on while he waited. Otherwise great night.
Great location and outside deck. Great service; friendly. Reasonable prices
Awesome!! I love the music and food at the triangle!
Friendly atmosphere. Good entertainment while eating. Good selection of food especially food allergies. Over all delicious!!!
The food was delicious, pleasant atmosphere, great live music, and excellent service!
A wonderful pub with so much character. The staff were professional and the live music was just great.
Booked as a pre-celtic connections show meal; the tasty food arrived in good enough time for us to get to the show. The beer was interesting but this is nothing like an Irish pub in Ireland, nor is the food particularly Irish.
Four of us came from the US to attend Celtic Colours and chose this because it was close to Centre 200. Everyone loved their entrees and we especially enjoyed the love music during dinner. Excellent place to eat and we'd definitely go back!
Unfortunately our table was right next to the stage and it was too loud to even hear the waitress. Would not reserve again just take our chances and if not move to another venue.
Great place. Good food, good service, good entertainment.
Food was great! Excellent service! Great atmosphere! Highly recommend!
Only complaint was that the sun came in the window above the shutters and was blinding for the half or our party that was facing the windows.
We ended up being a larger group and we had a fabulous dinner/evening. The live music was a bonus - the bevies and food were delicious! Thanks for the attentive service!
