We had the good fortune to commemorate our 40th wedding anniversary at The Palm. My wife and I had made plans for a river cruise down the Rhine. Regrettably, the pandemic had scotched our travel plans, so the reader may decide for themselves why we chose The Palm.
Given the coronavirus and the civil unrest, we felt the outdoor dining section at The Palm represented our best and safest venue under the circumstances. After dining there we concluded we were correct. The available "al fresco" area consisted of eight tables each with four seats spaced about eight feet apart. The staff was pleasant and accomodating and they all wore masks and gloves. We arrived first and during our stay no more than four of the tables were occupied. True, or not, we felt secure and cossetted during our visit.
My wife ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and was delighted with her choice, I selected an 18 ounce cut of aged Boneless Ribeye, that I ordered "Pittsburgh Style," which for the uninitiated is charred on the outside and rare on the inside. I highly recommend it and The Palm does a wonderful job with what is a complex preparation. Our only disappointment was that the sideorder of potatoes and onion straws we ordered was way overcooked. Given the inherent risks, I can't criticize that small faux pas. We finished our meal by sharing a slice of carrot cake, as I savored a 15-year-old port.

The server was fantastic! The food was excellent. The only downside was it was our first time there and we were sat on the patio so I didn’t feel I got to experience the restaurant. This place is fairly expensive and it was a celebration dinner so it would have been nice to experience the ambience. Nevertheless the food did not disappoint. The steak was perfectly prepared and delicious. Much better than my experience at Bourbon steak. For the steak alone I would come back.

The food and service was outstanding. It is definitely a place you go for special but it was worth it.
Should have the ability to make mixed drinks. Other than that it was very nice. That food was perfect.

Everything was a good experience -- the service was excellent -- I only have one complaint. The lobster roll I ordered and the lobster bisque were very good -- but the amount of lobster in each -- for the amount charged -- was miniscule. Especially on the lobster roll -- there was very, very little lobster.

The food at the Palm and the service are always stellar and top-notch. A bit loud if you are looking for a quiet conversation, but the meal more than makes up for that.

Very noisy, waiter seemed a little confused. We ordered champagne and I had to ask for champagne glasses...One would assume that when guests are ready to pay $300 for a bottle of champagne they would like to enjoy it in champagne glasses!
We walked in, showed the man our reservation on my phone, he asked when we made it, I told him the date I made the reservation then he stopped talking to us. So we went somewhere else.

For one of the more expensive meals I've paid for, the value was very lacking, most chain steakhouses in this class are. The dining area is very crowded and loud, and the steak, although good, was, well, a steak. The lobster was rubbery, most likely frozen. The appetizers (lobster bisque) and the desserts (cheese cske), however, were very good. As was the friendly staff. Free valet parking also a plus.
Service (Reggie) was excellent, food was great (mashed potatoes were a bit dry), but it was extremely loud and crowded. We were so close to the table next to us my husband had the back of someone's chair either hitting him or under his arm throughout our entire meal.

It was my first time at The Palm. I must admit, I was disappointed. Server was not very personable. Food was very ok. For the cost, I must say I was underwhelmed. The decor with the pictures could be updated and be more inclusive of diverse culture.

We were excited to try the Palm. The ambiance is nice and the service is quick. Foe the price point we’ve had better tasting food but it was good to try once.

I have always loved the Palm. Restaurants of its kind are rare. The atmosphere is calming and both reminiscent of times long past, yet relevant for today. The food is always outstanding. Service is too. The staff are knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, but they don't hover. Sometimes patrons get very loud, which can be intrusive. Nevertheless, I enjoyed every single moment.
