Ora King Salmon* **
potato puree, crispy brussels sprouts, grenbrolaise sauce
Grilled Ham & Cheese with Tomato Soup
rustic whole wheat levain, garlic confit puree, smoked ham, white cheddar and swiss cheese
I ordered the scallops. No flavor and overpriced. $40. For 3 medium sized scallops? Ridiculous. Brussels sprouts were really good. I will return but not order the scallops. Service was very good.
We both enjoyed the roasted corn soup - something different. Also liked their king salmon dish with rice and veggies - quite adequate portion but not over-filling. The menu is somewhat limited compared to this place's past but did also have beef and chicken. Fairly good wine list. Likely because of COVID, they do not currently offer validated parking but do have adequate self parking and a few handicapped spaces.
Very good food at reasonable prices. Excellent, attentive service. Great experience overall.
Excellent as always!
Amazing filet mignon !! Loved it
Comfortable setting. Food always consistently exceptional. Service attentive and friendly.
We had a great experience with this restaurant. I don’t ever think I have ever tipped a bus person but I did it was that good.
Always enjoyable but the menu is quite limited and no longer has some of my favorites. There are no turkey or Rueben sandwiches and their entrees are also quite limited. We would go there more often if they expanded the menu the way it use to be.
excellent all around staff super
The food took a very long time and then wasn’t worth the wait. The peaches in the salad were not ripe (important since it was a tomato/peach salad, it was not a garnish). The chicken was dry and over-salted. The veggies were very bland beyond the excessive salt. Had to ask for additional water. Definitely not worth the money or the time.
Fantastic food and the craft cocktails were outstanding! The waiter forgot my salad, but other than that it was a wonderful dinner and we will return.
Very beautiful and was beyond outstanding! I had the golden beets and melon gazpacho which were both beautiful and delicious. Wine list was exceptional and entree options were minimal but precise and bountiful! Love love love! For special occasions or for a casual dinner, The Park Bistro and bar is a definite go to. Thank you for making my birthday a memorable one.
Pre-Covid this was an amazing meal. Now limited menu, overpriced, not great food. I won’t be going back anytime soon. Plus the servers were doing a good job, but had to remind twice to get bread, drinks and they forgot part of our side dishes.
So glad we "rediscovered" The Park Bistro & Bar. It had been some time since we'd dined there. Food was very good, the ambiance was lovely, and the service was particularly excellent. We'll be back again soon.
One of our favorite places to go when I'm in Lafayette. Toni was super hostess and the rest of the team never disappoints.
Burger is always a winner.
Service was friendly and great. I expected much better food and setting. The outdoor seating was next to the parking lot with a view of the freeway.
The bar and outdoor patio in this hotel restaurant are lovely and comfortable. (Although I’ve been coming here occasionally for over ten years, I’ve never been in the indoor dining room.) The ambience is upscale casual. The service is uniformly excellent. The food menu is overpriced, however, and the wine list (especially the by-the-glass wines) is oddly heavy on French wines for a California restaurant. For example, the only rosé by the glass is a Gamay Beaujolais, and the only domestic Pinot Noir by the glass is from Oregon. (The other Pinot by the glass is from Burgundy.) Come on, folks, you’re literally just a few miles from some of the best California Pinot Noir vineyards, in Sonoma County.
As for the food, my grilled cheese on hearty multigrain bread with corn soup was a good comfort-food dish, although the soup was bland (a few grinds of pepper would have helped, but none was offered). The soup could have benefited from some poblano pepper or Hatch green chile, too. My companions ordered burgers, which were well prepared with excellent crispy steak fries. Burgers were a popular entree choice, judging by the nearby diners.
Overall, especially if you’re staying at the Lafayette Park, this is a good choice for a drink and a casual meal. The bar, especially, is a lively and welcoming place for a relaxing get together.
Wait Staff was great with drinks, food and recommendations. They made dinner great.
They have wonderful food, reasonably priced and the best staff ever. Small complaint, we ate outside and were seated at the east side and they have some kind of sewage smell over there near the pipes. Real stinky. They shouldn't put tables at that end. Other than that, it's one of our favorites
We've dined frequently at the Park Bistro over the years but this was our first since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Service continues to be top notch. This time, we were disappointed with the food, which was good but not great, and with the prices, which have definitely gone up quite a bit. Presentation could also use an upgrade. I would definitely recommend the Park Bistro as a good place for a drink and a snack.
Great food, Great Location, Great Ambiance ! One of my favorites for sure ! Wish I could move into the Park Lafayette ... LOL !
I ordered a Caesar salad which was only ok. Too little dressing and other issues. My entree was salmon and it was too salty. Service was very slow and the waiter did not understand English well.
Pretty outdoor patio but no wonder I could get a Saturday night reservation easily two days earlier: slow, forgetful service and mediocre food. Sorry to see a long-time establishment with previous stellar reputation as such a low point.
The Park Bistro was great. But making the reservation through Open Table was poor. I specified that the dinner was for our anniversary, but apparently Open Table did not tell the Park Bistro as we got no acknowledgement. In the past we have made reservations directly with the Park Bistro and they always did something a little special for us. We won't be using Open Table again.
We had an uneven experience. The appetizers were excellent, particularly the beet salad. Both the salmon and the filet mignon were excellent. But the fish and chips were virtually inedible. The fish was rockhard. One of the pieces could not even be cut with a knife. To their credit, we were not charged for the dish. For dessert we had an excellent bread pudding and what was easily the worst crème brûlée we have ever tasted. It was completely bland and watery. We have dined here several times before and always had excellent experiences and were disappointed at the food shortcomings.
It is such a treat to be able togo back to the Park again and eat inside!! Wonderful ambience, great staff and food!
Salmon and chicharrones were awesome! So we’re the cocktails!
Excellent service and food as always. We had a very enjoyable dinner celebrating a friend’s birthday. Would just have been a little happier if we were seated in the outdoor courtyard instead of the patio, which tends to get loud, but something came up so it was no longer available.
Very limited menu; "rare" burger came well done; fish & chips fish was dry and tough. Guess this explains why it was virtually empty.
Considering we spent over $400 for food and drink, $50 was a bit ridiculous for corkage.
We had a loud, grumpy server but everything else was nice. We like the ambience - normally nice and quiet.
Pleasantly surprised, came here for the first time to celebrate a birthday. Delicious food, very helpful waitress. We will definitely come back!
Top notch all-round - all 3 of us loved it! one of our favs
Great filet mignon! We sat outside on the patio, so had moderate noise from the street and highway.
Restaurants/eateries are just opening up. Employees are very difficult to find! NO DOUBT the Chef in-kitchen is overtaxed BUT...food choice was limited, attention to detail not on the plate. The saving-grace to it all was our waitress Kim...great personality!
Probably won't be dining here again.
There was no food service of any kind fro Sunday afternoon through Tuesday night. This was not disclosed until check in on Sunday afternoon. Hotel could have had a cantering company set up a coffee, juice, breakfast area on those days. Plus the front desk representative were somewhat rude.
This is a very pretty spot but it took a very long time to get the food and $23 for a salad that was almost all Romaine lettuce with salmon, well seasoned salmon, seemed a bit much.
Kim was the best server, always read our minds when something was needed or missing. She was funny, professional and spot on. We sat in the booth in the main dining room, our favorite spot. Had the chicken the salmon the steak and Caesar with chicken. All entrees were perfect. Started with the deviled eggs (not your Midwest egg), the mezzo and the cheese. Perfect for 4 people. Ended with the sorbet trio, and on a 100° night it was great!
The Host is the only issue here at this restaurant. She seemed very stressed out that night.
