The River Social

I loved the feel of the river social. i definitely think that directions to the restaurant could’ve been clearer. Our waitress Jenna was so nice and fun! Will definitely be back!

Anniversary brunch

We are not local so struggled finding the restaurant . The River Social is located below Jackys. You can see Jacky’s from the street but River social is below along the River so you need to walk around the Waterplace Park . You can not see the River social as you drive Memorial Blvd . You can use Jacky’s valet or the Fidelity building parking garage .
Food was excellent .
Margaritas were nicely balanced .
Hummus was fresh .
Staff were attentive and polite .
Had a very nice dinner in a full restaurant .
Covid rules in place .
Felt safe .
Some dishes were a wee too spicy but still delicious . I prefer mild spices but I eagerly enjoyed the meal . Delicious , fresh , and a pleasant meal . You can read other reviews for nuts and bolts . Only posted cause we could not find the joint . We drove 60 miles looking for good food .

Food was excellent, especially the spicy feta cheese and the hummus. Our server Jenna was tremendous.

I really loved this restaurant for a quiet, delicious, relaxing dinner. We don't go out often, so this was a treat. We loved every menu item and drink we had. The service was fantastic. At least three servers/staff checked in on our table regularly and refilled our drinks as requested. The staff seemed to work together really well and it made for a seamless meal. Would 100% recommend for a date night or small group gathering. There was even someone enjoying his meal alone and he seemed to be having a nice time too!

Love this place. Great vibe, the music sets the tone for a great meal. Shout out to Cortney the hotesses with the most-EST. FOOD IS PHENOMENAL. I will be there again. So book your table NOW, because i will get mine, now thats 1 less table for you.

Food is as delicious and great service. We arrived 20 minutes early as we didn’t realize it was only open for dinner. They did let us in so we wouldn’t freeze. The lamb tacos were to die for. Highly recommend this place

Food was okay, small portions. Menu was not specific- I ordered the Mediterranean
Two eggs cooked in a spiced tomato sauce with garlic, roasted red peppers and Mediterranean spices and herb- did not specify that the egg was poached. Let the waitress know i did not like it however was still charged.

Ordered chicken and waffles and the chicken was dry and over fried

Dined here on valentines day for brunch and it was amazing! Highly recommend the sesame toast and eggs benedict with tater tots. Only downside is having to park on the street or in a parking garage since it is in waterplace.

The River Social is an exceptional place to dine. My friends and I went for the Galentine's meal and were more than happy with our 3-course meal, the portion sizes, and the staff!

Had an amazing brunch, tried the smoked salmon avocado toast, Bloody Mary, and bottomless mimosas!

We used to love this place . Good location, cozy inside and food has improved with the new chef. However service is really bad , they need more staff .

The food was absolutely delicious! Came with my boyfriend for his birthday and loved the entire experience from the first round of drinks to the dessert. We will definitely be returning to try more of the menu. Food was seasoned perfectly and tasted super fresh. A little pricey but well worth it.

The food at The River Social (for brunch) was amazing and I plan to go back! The ambiance is super cool and very comfortable. My only complaint is that there was only one server/bartender (it was one person for both) so service of my bottomless mimosas was a tad bit slow. Also, the server/bartender caught a bit of an attitude with us at the end of our meal when I asked about getting a to go order at the end of our brunch. Nonetheless, we had a great time and again, the food is BOMB!

Parking may be limited as the restaurant is located right in Water Place Park. The restaurant was smaller than I expected but it was very beautiful and relaxing. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The server was very attentive and polite. I would definitely come back.

This was my first time dining here at The River Social. A few friends and myself went to Sunday Brunch. We all ordered bottomless mimosas and the lobster avocado toast. The mimosas were good and kept coming. But the food itself was rather disappointing. The avocado toast was served on what seemed like a piece of white Wonderbread. Very disappointed. I expected better food since this place seemed so nice and the ambiance seems so high end.

Just ok. A bit expensive for what we got. My husband did rave about the dessert though!

Wonderful food; beautiful locations; terrific staff. No complaints whatsoever....although drink 'portions' were....how do you say? a bit, well......not exactly generous. Minor comment, though.

We had the chicken entre, steak entre, rosemary garlic wings and cheesecake and it was all incredibly flavorful

Although it is hard to find, it is situated on the river. Lovely setting, quiet. Service was excellent and attentive. Mediterranean omelet was delicious and interesting. Recommend!

Loud. The tables def didn’t seem 6ft apart, but they had delicious food, reasonably priced, not much variety. I paid $16 for salmon avocado toast and tater tots. Then $25 for bottomless mimosas. They say business casual but there was tons of people there without that dress code. I don’t mean any malicious reviews but I’m just telling you my experience. The staff was friendly, and efficient. The place was clean and had no sticky spots under the tables. You literally sit next to water place river. You can people watch or see people kayaking down the river.. the place was not as big as id expected but they do the job! Make a reservation! Overall good experience. Probably wouldn’t go there for brunch again for the lack of variety of food and semi high prices. But the food was good. It’s a contradiction I know but that’s just me!

The food was delicious -- we went for Sunday brunch and had the shashuka, eggs and tots (the best tater tots), and Salmon benedict. However, unlike my last visit this summer, the wait staff had a very difficult time keeping their masks above their nose.

We had a wonderful first time at the River social and plan to go back soon! It was very clean and well set up for appropriate distancing. The crab cakes were phenomenal and the butternut squash risotto was delish. The baklava/ice cream desert is the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Great service and beautiful river view. Very peaceful ambiance.

Amazing food, music, dessert, drinks, and recommendations from the staff. I have NEVER written a review before, but this place was absolutely fantastic. The decor and lighting and all the menu options. Particularly the baklava ice cream sandwich. I’ll be back very soon!
