Went to high tea (the Harry Potter one) for a friend's birthday, called in beforehand to confirm the reservation and make sure we had a table. It was a quiet day when we got there and no one knew where to seat us, the staff moved us a total of four times in the span of two hours and it seems like we were passed off back and forth when it came to taking our order and serving us. We went there at 2:45pm, not a busy time whatsover, and the service greatly disappointed me. We were asked about food sensitivities and my friend had requested no berries as she is allergic, and they still served us literal dried cranberries. The event and high tea is an unique idea, and I greatly appreciate them for trying, but overall, I cannot in good faith recommend this to anyone. For ~$85 dollars after tip, there are so so many high tea places especially in Vancouver that have better service and better food.
The Harry Potter themed afternoon tea was a cute idea but not worth it. Food quality is just alright. Ambiance is underwhelming. Service was cold. Overall not impressed and not worth it.
I brought my friend here for her birthday since we enjoy trying different high tea places. We were really excited to try Trump’s Champagne Lounge cause it looked so luxurious. The server was awkward & it took awhile for our high tea set to come out (which was a problem for all the other tables as well). The savoury food such as the chicken leg came out cold & the food in general tasted very mediocre. The servers were even confused on which high tea set was for what table, & it was unimpressive watching them debate on who it goes to. Overall, not going to come back!
Awesome afternoon tea experience!! Highly recommended!
Poor customer service. No effort was made to accommodate my party. ( I mentioned it was my bd )
I tried calling the restaurant a few times to change the reservation but nobody ever answered the phone. We arrived and noticed most tables were full of empty seats and dirty dishes. We seated at the bar which was full of dust and very sticky. It didn’t seem that busy but the waiter told us it was. They also ran out of oysters by 4:45 pm. Not worth it. Don’t go.
Cute afternoon tea inspired by Harry Potter. Our table was ready even though we're early. Staff didn't bring us milk for our tea, but they did refill our pot throughout our session. Good atmosphere to hang out with friends and colleagues.
Very poor service. Never been asked if we needed more hot water for the tea during the 1.5~2 hours. Never asked us if we needed sugar or milk when the tea arrived at our table. Worst afternoon tea experience we have ever had. Bread crumbs were over the sofa that we sat on.
The only good thing was the female server that actually was nice and friendly to explain what kind of food were on the tower set.
Maybe we had too much expectation from the Trump Hotel.
Definitely not going back.
Have been here dozens of times in the past and always received exceptional service and a higher quality of food and drinks. Seems like the old service staff is all gone. Took forever to get a hold of a server. Made a note that we were celebrating a 30th birthday and that was ignored. Seated at a horrible table that never existed before with a pregnant woman and had to ask multiple times to be moved. Will not be returning anytime soon.
The afternoon tea was nice however we were expecting to receive better service for the price we paid. There is very few savory items and a lot of sweet items. We would have liked a top up of tea however no one approached our table until we were finished and by that stage we wanted to ask for the bill.
I was excited to know that it was a Harry Potter theme, but I was disappointed with the experience.
1- the pretzel sticks with cheese on the end that was made to resemble a magic Broome: the pretzel was very stale.
2- they forget our scones and they brought them at the very end when we were leaving. They packed it for us but without the butter and jam.
3- it was my birthday but they never acknowledged it although I did mention it when I made the reservation. There were a 2 other couple that had a muffin brought to them with a candle to celebrate an anniversary and a birthday? Was I forgotten or was I discriminated against?
4- the champagne lounge is located at the entrance of the hotel. There was quite a foot traffic. It doesn't have a good ambience and the tables are low to a point where you have to hunch over many times.
5- I attended the Fairmont's afternoon tea for their 80th anniversary and it was truly a magical experience compared to this one.
6- I am very dissatisfied with the experience and I cannot recommend it. I recommend considering other places, such as the downtown Fairmont, for a much better experience.
Went to happy hour, the food we ordered were great for the most part. Katsu chicken sliders and the cheese chauterie board and $1 oysters were delicious. Our server was great, but then she went on her break and that’s when everything hit rock bottom.
Near the end of our meal, there were no servers nor anyone present at the front desk to assist or check on our group. We also encountered a mouse near our table area crawling around freely. Since no one was near our table we had to get up and find someone to notify ASAP!
We found a manager from another department and told her about the mouse and she went to contact the assistance manager of the champagne lounge to come down right away and help deal with the issue. The manager from the other department told us that they were sorry about the incident and told us that we did not need to pay for the meal. Then the assistant manager shows up a few moments later to see how we were doing.
We were a bit disappointed with how the assistant manager handled the situation. She did apologize about the whole situation, but that was about it. Her choice of words were poor and nothing else was done other than an apology. She said it is difficult to make sure the critters do not come in as the door is automatic. After that, she left without following through with what she was able to do for us. At this moment, our group was still distraught about the whole situation.
In the end, we had to walk up to someone to get the bill. We paid for our bill in full and left a small tip even though none of the servers nor the assistant manager came back. We believe it is reasonable to pay for the food we had, but nothing else was done by the assistant manager other than a verbal apology. When our group was leaving, all of the servers and the assistant manager avoided eye contact as if they wanted to avoid talking to us because of what happened.
Please focus more on customer service, the following email was a surprise as well.
Food quality was not as good as previous times.
Prepare for waiting more than one hour

My wife and I went there to try out the afternoon tea for our anniversary. We were blown away by the wonderful staff and decor of the afternoon tea setup. We loved everything that was served, it was absolutely delicious!!
We are definitely going to go there again to try there other themed menus.

It's nice and pretty here. The happy hour deals are pretty decent. Although was very surprised to see how expensive the non-alcoholic drinks and even soda pop are.

We were celebrating my friend successfully completing her article interviews for an articling student position. We arrived and when we told the hostess we were there for the high tea her immediate response was it was not available, having ended at 4pm, even though I booked the 4:30pm reservation with the sole intention of having high tea. The hostess said someone attempted to call me but I had no missed calls or voicemails and my phone was working.
Eventually the hostess checked with the kitchen and the pastry chef was still on site so we could have the high tea. Our server was very pleasant and went through the menu with us before we placed our order. I found the display of the high tea visually appealing and the food overall was alright.
I was disappointed that there was misleading (missing information) from the menu despite the price point for the regular high tea is already more expensive than comparable high teas around Vancouver. Specifically, the server told us that with the regular menu you get one of each item listed ($65 per person) and the deluxe menu you get one of each item, champagne , and a takeaway dessert box ($118).
We had three people and only found out after the food arrived and we had started eating that there was a policy of 1.5 serving of a scone per order despite the menu listing 3 types of scones and each order only got 1 of the 2 cookies listed. I found this unspoken information to be relevant information consider how much you’re charging for your teas and the fact that we came to the high tea after seeing the vast food options posted on your IG page.
It’s only food but the principle of the matter that if you list out specific items as being Included on a menu and your server advertises certain information, then you should provide what you advertise. If there are disclaimers, limitations/restrictions or specific serving sizes, this should be noted on your menu otherwise it’s false advertisement.

A bit tossed here as when I read the menu it looked very promising. Settled on a Spicy Tuna Roll which was very good and the burger which, honestly was just okay. We were there for lunch and I think this space is better suited for late night dining and drinks.

presentation is nice. value wise... a bit overpriced
I booked an online reservation for the trump champagne lounge, I followed up by called the business and advised them it was for an anniversary and requested for the carnival afternoon tea. As we got to the restaurant, the waitress didn’t know what the reservation was for and asked, I requested for the carnival set however received the caged set. The service wasn’t anything good, food was served and that’s about it. The experience wasn’t memorable and I wished we had the Ferris wheel that was advertised as it was something new that was recently released.
Food took 40 min (taco and calamari and mushroom paste). Calamari was extremely bad to the point I sent it back to the kitchen.
Place looks nice to be in.
The afternoon tea was not worth the price point..
It’s good for picture, but taste was not as good as expected
Overall the expensive is meh... I could have gone to a different place and be please with the food and services
This is my 3rd afternoon tea experiences at Trump Champagne Lounge and I have to say that it was not the best experiences in terms of service BUT the presentation and food for the tea set is absolutely amazing! The pastries were displayed on the wheel and savory dishes were on a plate. As usual the pastries were so delicious, especially the salted caramel popcorn cream puff with caramel cream filling. I really enjoyed the duck poutine and corn dogs! One thing though, it was difficult to get the pastries out of the wheel. Overall, this has to be one of my favorite places to have an afternoon tea, with such amazing presentation and delicious food! I highly recommend to try this new, fun Carnival theme!
We are living in the Westend and we usually enjoy this place, the oysters are always great. This time a friend from Calgary came to visit us. He told the server that he is allergic to nuts but despite the explicit announcement, the tuna bowl came with hazelnuts, really dangerous. During our stay from 4:30 pm to 7pm there were between 4 and 10 guests and 3 to 4 staff in this outlet, however it was hard to get the attention of the service. We had to wait for every beverage order and the water service was very bad as well. The food took its time and the warm items came out lukewarm. All the complaints we told the staff about were handled inappropriately. Throughout the entire stay there was certainly no attention to detail - tables were left uncleared for long periods of time and guests had to wait at the reception desk to get seated.
Very slow and bad service at tea time. Not worth the price.
Savory items would have been better served warm. Left over items packed to go was done in sloppy manner. Oysters came out very late. No towel or paper towel in the washroom.
The food was good but it took 30 minutes for the afternoon tea to be served. We were also not asked if we wanted our pots refilled. Service was very slow due to understaffing.
Super hang out spot! Wonderful staff, extensive selection of bottles, and delicious appetizers. They sure how to make every guest feel important!
Food was delicious - calamari, chicken wings, Peking duck spring roll and raw oysters. Service was frequent and friendly. Space was comfortable and open and relaxing.
The service was really good, the food was okay I had better
We had the Sakura Afternoon Tea at the lounge with 2 other girlfriends, the presentation was excellent, however, only the cream puff and the matcha roll was worth a mention, the rest of it didn’t taste well.
We did order the a la carte menu and took the wagyu beef burger + the Ceasars salad, the burger was very juicy and their fries were sooo crispy and delicious ❤️
There are comfortable Spaces and a variety of cocktails! Cherry blossom afternoon tea is delicious and beautiful.
A marvelous experience! The champagne selection was good and we both enjoyed our picks. The food was exceptional. I highly recommend making a stop here.
Absolutely amazing! Executive Pastry Chef Fumiko Moreton and her team has done a stunning job once again. After the Beauty and the Beast theme, I was skeptical if this Sakura theme will live up to the previous one. The pastries (in my opinion) were better in this afternoon tea set because they were not too sweet or over powering. The subtle hints of flower and delicate pastries went so well together. The savory tacoyaki, oyster motoyaki, spicy duck crepes, and cucumber radish tea sandwich were so delicious. One comment I would say is that I wished that there were more scones! The scones are so good and the perfect size for a bite and I want more! Overall, the Sakura themed tea was so well thought out and executed. I would definitely come back to host friends/family here.
We waited for the afternoon tea to come for almost one hour.... but the service was good tho
