GARY GREAT WAITER--PIZZA DELICIOUS, CLAM CHOWDER OKAY
Fabulous outdoor dining experience with outstanding food and service. Very attentive staff.
As usual, the BEST place to go. Everyone is so nice. Our waiter was fantastic, great service over and above! The food was so delicious, appetizers, and entrees , and dessert. We will be back soon and over and over. Have been going here for years, never disappoints. Thank you so much for a wonderful time and a perfect birthday for our daughter. She was so happy !. great to see especially in these times. We had debated whether to go due to covid but felt incredibly safe and relaxed outdoors at our table with no close customers, and such excellent protocols being followed.
Highly recommend to one and all !
It was perfect. The service was outstanding. The food was perfect. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves a great seafood restaurant. The view of the bay bridge is outstanding.
Excellent waterfront seating. A little chilly but overall a great experience. And wonderfully delicious Ciappino
TWO THUMBS DOWN Experience!! Hindsight, I should have taken photos of the BURNT OVERCOOKED ~AND~ (second attempt) OILY PAN FRIED SEA BASS… Although, there were plenty of servers, including mine, and the restaurant manager, October(female), who all saw what happened to my fish entrée.
When I ordered, I asked my server if it would be possible to steam the sea bass, and to make my fish medium-rare; *NOT* OVERCOOKED and/or GRILLED. I was assured. Unfortunately, the message must not have gotten relayed correctly. The fish arrived SMELLING LIKE BURNT TOAST. My server came around to check and noticed the burnt, crunchy sea bass. The SECOND TIME, my fish arrived pan fried. An hour had gone by... I thought it was reasonable to express to the manager, October, both events including showing her both fish I didn’t touch. Surprisingly, the her quick, sharp response was, "That's just how we make it.". I said, “I understand; however, I was assured it could be prepared to my request.” Then she offered free dessert and a discount for the TWO MISTAKES done to my entrée. I asked her, “Who is the owner or your boss?”. She told me, "He's 88 years old and in London." I chose to bite my tongue and gave up. I learnt customer service was not October's strong suit. :-(
The location was perfect and that’s it. The food was not seasoned- did not have any flavor. Definitely will not be returning . There was nothing special about this place and was over priced .
Staff was attentive and friendly
Great food and service . The cocktails were good and strong and a nice selection of wine.
Prime rib special was fabulous. Crab cakes starter was very small but delicious. Sticky toffee pudding desert was divine. Overall a wonderful experience and so much better than many others in San Fran.
Short ribs is tasty. Not impressive on desert selections.
It was quite pleasant, our server was very professional. We enjoyed our Sunday dinner and we will be attending that restaurant in the near future.
Wendy was a great server. We ordered the Caesar salad and split it. It’s big enough to split as a starter salad. The sausage fennel pizza had great flavors and is one dish I will order again. Their wine selection is great and the wine by the glass choices are very good wines. Lunch was relaxing (definitely not a rushed lunch) which is great when you have this beautiful ocean view. Definitely experience this when visiting San Francisco.
The restaurant was nice, on the dock’s water side but the server was poor. She did a great job trying to upsell items in the menu to increase our tab however her level of service was poor for a restaurant of this magnitude. Her tone was not acceptable as the ladies dining with me were not her “home girls” but are patrons to this fine restaurant. She could not keep up as she was weeded from time she initially greeted our table, was late in delivering all items to the table and, most significantly, she noticed that she lost our order and came back to the table asking for our order again— after 45 mins after we initially ordered.
The food was good, but standard fare.the short rib was very tasty (3.5 star),but a tad dry and was missing a bit of sauce to finish it off. Nice place with nice views but pricey for what it was.
It was bellow expectations, first time I had a clam chowder without the bread. The food looked a little bit “industrial”. The location would deserve a better quality, not only a high price.
Did not share the menu and price in advance
First course only 2 options and no option witohit fish
New years eve dinner
We made reservation for nye. There was no indication on the website or on our confirmations that there was a price fixed special menu at $140 pp. Since it was nye and late to make new plans we stayed. The view was beautiful but the tent out back was freezing. Everyone was eating dinner with winter coats on. The lobster risotto was under done and a little crunchy, my husbands filet was raw (he loves a rare steak, this wasn’t it), I got the mixed grill, the lobster was dry and tasteless, the scallops, shrimp and salmon were also plain and tasteless. The bill did not match the quality of the food at all. I know it’s New Year’s Eve so you have us at a disadvantage but if your going to charge that much for dinner make sure you’re at least serving a decent meal. The service was ok, the view was nice but overall we were disappointed. We won’t be back.
We went on New Year's Eve with the prix fixe menu. Lots of good choices and all of what we picked were excellent (crab/avocado/beet salad, filet/prawns, mixed seafood grill, lobster risotto, pancetta prawns, pear creme brulee, chocolate fondant).
A bit pricey but given the sunset views and NYE timing (not rushed out for dinner rush, service was consistently steady), it was close in value to what we paid out the door ($435 food/drinks/tip/taxes). However, we certainly wouldn't call it a high value for 4 course dinner, hence the -1 star for value.
Food and view excellent. Service spotty. Major disappointment in how the hostess was dressed. She showed more of her body than was necessary to the point she might be a better fit at a gentleman’s club. Very disappointing
Great! Tables were too close with Covid. But everything else was excellent!
The food was supurb, and Gary was an extremely helpful and friendly serving person. My friends and I left vowing to come back soon!
The only complaint was that it was cold, rainy and windy the day when we were there, and the outdoor room is drafty, tho the view was impressive.
btw, the open table booking system was also exceptionally good. Thanks again!
The Prix Fixe Christmas Day menu was great, especially the Mixed Grill and the Crab & Beet Salad. The cocktails were delicious. The service was perfect -- we never needed to ask for anything, and we were never interrupted during our family holiday celebration, which we organized a bit last minute. The view, of course, sets a great tone. We were able to converse and focus on our own party. We appreciated that the servers were always masked, and we tried to mask ourselves when they came -- and they did a great job at keeping communication clear and brief! We appreciated being asked to show our proof of vaccination upon entry. The only improvement I might suggest is a bit more space between tables where patrons are seated back-to-back, the fingerling potatoes needed just a minute or two more of cooking, and the creme brulé had great flavor but was a little too cold (and watery in the custard). But the food is very fresh, and the Prix Fixe dishes we had were well-balanced, and the portions goldilocks. In sum: service was impeccable, flavors great, food very fresh, atmosphere perfect for a low-stress, family-focused celebration with beautiful, comfortable waterfront views from a room with an open-air feeling and very good food and drinks! Will be returning!
Wonderful price fix menu for Christmas dinner. Three of us sat upstairs with beautiful view of the bay and lit up Bay bridge. We all selected the same dishes and were pleased with each course. Starter was a crab salad with beats, so fresh and delicious. Main was a mixed seafood grill composed of prawns, salmon, lobster and perfectly good scallops, served with fingerling potatoes. Dessert was a yummy vanilla bean crème brûlée- filled with flecks of fresh vanilla bean and covered with a perfect brûlée shell. We asked for bread and my dining partners enjoyed it, while I opted out as I have celiac disease. Those who need gluten-free can eat effortlessly here as menu was designed to offer easy access to foods the whole party could enjoy safely. Drinks were cocktails served from the bar and were top notch. Overall, a delicious, fun and enjoyable Christmas dinner with loved ones!
Staff was very friendly and as I had made a reservation, was nice to accommodate my requests to sit in a window with the view of the bridge.
Food was mediocre for the cost but overall the atmosphere was nice.
We had the perfect meal with
The service was subpar. We sat for a long time before I finally asked a busboy to bring us water. Then it was probably another 20 minutes before our server showed up. The prime rib was tough and not very good for the caliber of dining this establishment normally has. The waiters attitude was not great! Sorry he had to work on Christmas, but not my problem.
Everything was great until waiting for our check... which took about 25 mins after they cleared our table.
No corresponde a m costo con la calidad de la comida . El pan lo cobraron aparte en una cuenta de 600 dlls por 4 personas !!!
Disappointing. We had the the fixed Christmas menu. Food was OK, service was underwhelming. For a Christmas Day outing it was expensive and not worth it.
It was a wonderful Christmas Day lunch. Great food and great service. Highly recommended!!!
Very good fixed Christmas menu
Good views of the Bay, and excellent service!
Came for the Christmas Eve special menu, which overall was great. Fantastic lobster bisque, very good mixed grill of seafood, and tasty chocolate dessert. The food was well done but basically simple, perhaps understandable for Christmas Eve; I appreciate that they were open. Yeah ambience is terrific with a great view of the bay bridge in the evening light display. Service is great.
$115 set menu. First courses were fine. Second courses, so so. Prime rib good. Mixed grill dry and cold. (Really, pasta for $115). Deserts fine.
