The Woollen Mills
The food was amazing and the service fantastic but we were seated upstairs next to a very very loud table and we couldn't hear each other speak across the table and had actually been told two tables had already left because of the noise of this group of people.
Great restaurant! Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and very healthy!
Had the best starter I’ve ever tried at this place. Can’t recommend it enough!
I'm not used to complaining about restaurants, but the staff was very rude, I do not recommend this place with me friends.
The food was good
Amazing !!! Best breakfast with a gourmet twist. Great for people who enjoy culinary flavor and breakfast with a twist. Amazing for vegetarians!! Homemade bread and amazing scone with jelly.
The service is slow, especially when going during lunch hour (1-2pm). Food is always delicious. Good sized portions and value for money.
Food was amazing. Only one server was working on Monday night, and we waited quite awhile to get our bill.
Very attentive waiting staff, offered suggestions and felt like a really authentic experience. Me and my partner was made to feel very looked after throughout our experience with friendly staff and excellent hospitality.
7 of us had breakfast there on Saturday morning! The food and atmosphere was great! Most of us went for the peanut butter and jam French toast with bacon...it didn’t disappoint! Will definitely be back!
Centrally located restaurant which was understandably busy on a Friday night but had no problems getting our table and had good and friendly service. Tables we perhaps a bit too close together and the glass/hard surfaces make it quite a noisy place. Good selection of vegetarian options, I had the sweet potato and lentil cakes which were delicious and very nicely presented.
Went to the woolen mills to celebrate a friends baby shower and it was really perfect. Not only was the food great but the staff could not have been more lovely. Hugely enjoyed it 😊
We booked a table for 18:15pm through open table and got a confirmation straight away. Food was lovely and arrived very quickly - we got the salmon starter and burger. Drinks were also great! I loved the amaretto sour!
However, as soon as we finished eating our food at 18:50pm we were told that they “need the table back in 15mins” and that we would need to leave. I checked the confirmation email and it says table is booked for 2 hours. I mentioned this to the server and he asked if I booked through open table and he went “you cannot guarantee it through open table” but then when I showed him the email, he followed it with “let me check with my manager”. He came back after and said that we can stay there until 20:00pm.
Food was lovely but being treated that way in front of other customers even though we booked a table and there were other empty tables, I don’t think I would be back in the near future. This is the first time I have experienced this in Dublin where customer service is top notch so was extremely disappointed.
Only thing was the cost I thought it was expensive for what we had! 25 e for bowl of mussels and 12 for cheese board was my bill!
We were visiting from US and wanted something different and we were pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent and the food was even better. Highly recommend going.
Interesting food and pleasant atmosphere but the service can be a bit intimidating
Great evening - food was gorgeous and the staff were fantastic. Could not fault either food or service. I’ll definitely return when I’m back in Dublin.
Food was lovely, and arrived quickly, which is very helpful if you're on a tight lunch schedule.
Staff were nice but a bit too casual and generally the service and atmosphere were a bit chaotic. As an experience, it wouldn't be what I would look for when dining out - ambience is important.
Great location just beside bus stop on quays. Were there for a meal for 2, we were seated quickly. Staff very friendly and service prompt. We both had the steak sambo and both loved it. High quality food. Chips were unreal too. Would recommend and will return 👍
Went for dinner with workmates. We sat in the outside seating, which thankfully was covered considering the changing weather in Dublin. The food was very good. My partner and I are both vegan, and the restaurant had a few options for us. We opted for the sweet potato and red lentil cake, whipped Irish ‘feta’, pistachio pesto & grilled fennel. The cakes (2) were nicely spiced and there was quite a generous serving. More than adequate to fill you up. My colleagues had the bangers & mash and the pork chop and both enjoyed their meals. I would return and try some of their other options.
Brilliant food & great service!! Perfect spot for brunch!
Overall was good. But tables are too close together - felt like we were in same party with the people beside us.
We went to the woollen mills for brunch which was disappointing. I've heard great things about the woollen mills and I will return for dinner at some stage but never again for brunch. The brunch menu is lacking. They had no options with fruit and only 2 or 3 breakfast items on the menu. The majority of dishes were lunches and I want eggs for brunch. I got the bacon and egg waffle sambo. The waffles were nice and fluffy but the bacon was unevenly cookee either overcooked and hard or very fatty, the dish also needed a sauce or relish. My husband got the sweet potatoe baji which was tasty but the poached egg was over cooked and it needed the runny egg to help moisten the dish. Place was very quiet but nicely decorated and staff were friendly and efficient.
Delicious food, very ample portions. . Lively vibe , great welcome and service
Service and appetizer was excellent but the burger was dry and tasted bland. It was way overcooked and overpriced.
Great for every day dining. The staff was so friendly and the food was fantastic. I got the brisket Mac and cheese - wow. So good. Great atmosphere and an easy way to watch the day go by!
Beautiful food, would eat the butternut squash bhaji every day if I could. Was too warm inside, and we moved outside for dessert - would have loved to eat upstairs but unfortunately it was closed, will go again!
I booked and we were put at a table by the sandwich cart- not exactly very special. Service was very spotty- fortunately we were not in a hurry. Food was beautifully displayed and good. Expensive but all of Dublin is now.
Had a lovely meal on Friday, good service and delicious food
Nothing special. Bland tasteless fish fingers served with a ramekin of frozen peas? Not worth the money.
The staff are really friendly and considerate. Nothing is too much for them.
The food was delicious and I can only praise the whole dining experience
in The Woollen Mill.
The main course took over 1 hour from the starters to be delivered to the table. The food had been under a heat lamp fo r some time so was dried out.
There was not enough servers on the day, they were great to deal with but were overly stretched.
Lovely food and service as always. Accommodating to vegans.Thank you
Lovely staff, good value food and bang in the centre of town.
Great food, but chaotic service from the wait staff. The hostess provided the best table service for us, which was odd, but appreciated. A livery place in a good location to the center of the cities night life. Can’t fault the food though, enjoy.
Overall excellent experience.
We had a delicious meal and was artistically presented. The service was good. It was very busy the night we dined due to the Gay Pride Parade, but the staff managed it smoothly.
