The entire experience from beginning to end was delightful and delicious! Our reservation was bar seating and we could not have been happier, Michelle has to be one of the best bartenders in San Antonio. She is knowledgeable, friendly, professional and entertaining. The food was exquisite and aesthetic, a great date night place.

The AC is out and the manager did all she could to make us comfortable which was fine. The biggest issues were that no one seemed to want to work there and no one greeted us or welcomed us. There were five and we ordered individual entrees. They were brought out one at a time and the last one was never brought until 30 minutes after the first entree, which was cold because it’s rude to eat when not everyone has their food. We asked for the manager and the waiter seemingly never told her we wanted her because she came after a few minutes and said she didn’t know we asked for her. She did a good job trying to rectify the situation, but overall it was a very poor experience compared to all the other times I have visited.

Great experience for our first time celebrating a birthday with my partner and I. Reserved seating at the bar. Bartender was great and helped curate our drinks with food choices. Food was delicious as were the drinks.

It was such an interesting dining experience! The staff was so nice and attentive! The food was amazing! My surprised fave were the green beans! Bought two drinks and also so good, too! I want to go back especially for those green beans. The pork chop was my second fave and a huge portion! Enough for 2 really hungry people or 4 not as hungry people. If you like comfort food and Japanese/Korean inspired food, give it a try! Totally worth it!

The restaurant felt very warm. I don’t know if there was an AC issue but it seems to be persistent. The last time we visited it was similarly warm. The bar immediately below was also warm. The temperature of the restaurant is what took away from the overall experience.

This was our first trip to Tokyo Cowboy. We were looking for something different in San Antonio besides Tex-Mex, Italian, or Steakhouse. We saw the recommendation for Tokyo Cowboy and thought the menu was intriguing. The place did not disappoint. The food is excellent and the service is friendly and top notch. We stated with the House Pickle Plate and the Brisket Egg Rolls. The entree was the Grilled Salmon and the Crispy Karaage Chicken. The chicken dish is enough for two people easily. The only downside to our experience was that the appetizers took too long to arrive and came separately. The place is small so you must have reservations. It is very noisy but the food is worth it.

Our whole party agreed “they are lucky their food is good.” The noise level makes for a poor experience. And this is was at 5pm on a week day. They also clearly have an ac issue that made dinner very uncomfortable. We did love the food as always but for the prices, it’s expected to have more attention to detail on service and overall experience / comfortability.
