De-LISH!!! DEFINITELY returning!! Super tasty, well-presented food, served by kind and competent staff.
The service was very poor and the food did not come out on time. When the food did arrive it was not good. The soup was cold and they left the old bowls on the table. It seem to take forever to get our drinks as well. The food arrived and it was nowhere near worth the money. To see if it was overcooked and under seasoned. I will not come here again.
Not as good as last time. Food quality was inconsistent. Drinks and desserts were overpriced - $20 for a single serving chocolate cake! Won’t be returning and will not recommend to friends.
Absolute horror to celebrate a loved one’s birthday. Overpriced for horrible food quality-steak too charred and uneven cooking of meat making it either too chewy or to hard to bite! Spent almost $500 for a group of 5 and that’s without desert! -Which wasn’t even offered to the group or the birthday boy!
New York steak for $56 was utterly disappointing. It was supposed to be a birthday treat- but it was described as a ‘tasteless rotting corpse of a steak’
No amount of butter or ‘special red wine sauce’ - offered to make it more palatable could work.
The service tried hard but the prices were steep for such a disappointing meal. The place has no business calling itself a steak house.
Additionally whilst waiting for our Uber- another customer discussed their dissatisfaction with a tasteless tomahawk steak-
The lobster bisque was delicious, but too cool.
The scallops were nice enough, but everything was served with mediocre mashed potatoes and spinach…
Don’t waste your money!
Relatively unimpressed with the place... the food was OK, but not great, and certainly not aligned with the prices. Service was good. Ambiance was poor - this is the third? restaurant in this location, and the decor and layout hasn't changed at all... so it certainly doesn't have the feel of a high-end steakhouse. There are far better restaurants in the area at this price point. Won't be returning.
Service was excellent. server Alex always chexking on us if we do need anything and food was excellent. Thanks chef Jeff
Manager had to go out and buy mint for mojitos so they were delayed. They were good though. The food was good, service seemed a bit off but overall it was a good experience and I hope they do well.
We arrived on time for our reservation however still waited about 15 minutes before seated. Once seated no one greeted us or brought water after we sat at our table for 25mins before I got up to ask if a waiter would atleast bring us water. After another 10 mins a waiter finally came and poured water for us, we told the waiter we were ready to order however he hurried away saying he would be back. After another 15 minutes we were able to order drinks and dinner. Now after an hour of being there our food finally arrives. The food was decent. After finishing my first drink I ordered another drink which never arrived but I was charged for on the bill. My boyfriend went to let them know and the manager brought my drink to me and apologized for the horrible service. There was nothing more than an apology with some excuses however we were the ONLY table not being serviced until I had to walk up to the front desk to ASK for water and to have our order taken. Needless to say after a $200 bill, horrible service and mediocre food we will not be coming back. No thank you I rather spend my money elsewhere.
New Years Eve dinner
Not overly full but service from bar was extremely slow. Barkeep or waiter at fault, I don’t know but it was much longer than expected given the crowd. There appeared to be enough wait staff moving about. And otherwise might have been a really nice evening. Also a bit pricey. Somewhat expected, but still expensive. Not a place to return to as a regular because of cost Too bad, for both us and them.
Giving this a 3, the restaurant has potential and I realize that it is new. Took a group of 7 here on a Saturday evening. While my steak was very good, it was served almost cold. My wife and son had the Ribeye which were reported as very flavorful, but on the chewy side. As for the value, this place doesn't have the ambiance to charge the prices they are asking for...but it was the best I could do as all other choices were fully booked.
I hate to write bad reviews but this restaurant really stood out as being subpar. We arrived on time for our dinner. Ordered our drinks, appetizer and entrees. After a long wait with nobody checking in on us, the busboy finally comes over and asks if we got our appetizer yet. No, so he goes back and again after awhile, brings us our shrimp appetizer. The shrimp tasted ok, but they left alot of little shells on the shrimp which created a challenge to bite into the shrimp without constantly biting into shells too. After waiting for over an hour, we finally waved down the waitress. Supposedly, a miscommunication and our food wasn't put in or cooked. We were told another at least 20 min wait. We left at this point. Waitress was nice and tried. But, way understaffed, each table was taken so at capacity for the restaurant and the food that we had was subpar.
Limited menu that does not even resemble the on line menu. It was my birthday, my older parents, wife and 9 year old son, were sat in the bar rather than the dining room on Friday evening when neither were even at 20% capacity. Our waiter was young and inexperienced, nice enough, but seemed to think I wanted to talk to him more than my family on my birthday. The food was good, but did not live up to the prices. A glass of wine was way overpriced even for a fancy steakhouse which this really is not. I had the filet, which comes with spinach (stems and all) and mashed potatoes as does ever other item on the menu, billed as 8 oz, but I highly doubt it. My sons $14 burger was probably the best of our meals. Salmon is the only fish option, seasoned with too much salt and some pepper, served with spinach and MP’s. The bacon Brussels Sprouts were pretty good, though no bacon to be found.
Horrible way overpriced only ppl in restaurant
Had lunch with friends. Food was good. The service was ok; the server was out sick so the Manager served our food and drink. Because of Covid the restaurant was almost empty. This was no fault of the management; people are still hesitant with indoor dining. I believe the restaurant will be a hit once dining restrictions are lifted and the dining scene is back to normal.
Was decent. Not much else in San Ramon
Way way way over priced for the quality of food and service.
The steak way at best comparable to Denny’s steak and egg breakfast. It was tough, thin and lacked any flavor.
The salmon was a grilled salt and pepper and zero complexity.
Side order portions were only enough for one person; definitely not shareable.
Wait staff was pleasant but definitely not what you would expect from a high end steak house, which based on the prices would dictate.
Work not recommend.
My friend and I came here for friendsgiving dinner yesterday - WONDERFUL experience from start to finish. It was a quiet night in the restaurant. Outstanding service from the entire staff, including the chef. Excellent food and perfect ambience. I had the stuffed sole and my friend had the steak and shrimp dinner - delicious! I will definitely be going back.
Brother Deep was very attentive to us. He knew when to step in and check on us. He also has a good understanding of the menu.
We had a great Thanksgiving meal here. Everyone was happy, turkey for some, steak for some! Great service and our steaks were perfect. Good dessert as well.
We did not enjoy our meal here.
Thanksgiving seafood dinner. Crab legs were very good.
Would recommend this resturant.
The staff was excellent. We arrived for Thanksgiving dinner at 2:30 pm. before dinner and decided that we wanted steak instead of the buffet. The Kitchen accommodated us and we had a delicious dinner. The staff was very very accommodating and friendly. I recommend this restaurant.
The food was okay, certainly not what one expect for prime steak. The servers were nice but slow. We ordered the bacon brussel sprouts and they forgot to bring them. The server did not write down the order or repeat it back and he forgot to place the sprouts order. Probably would not dine there again given the prices are high end and the food preparation was not.
Steak was bland and sides bad. Service was awkward. Crème Brûlée was served hot and runny.
This was an anniversary dinner which was noted on the reservation. Every other restaurant provides some type of recognition or small treat for dessert. No acknowledgement at Tomahawk. We tried the Tomahawk steak and it was mediocre. This was our first time trying this steak house….probably will not return. Service was good. Steak was just not worth returning for.
The food quality and portions were not up to par for the price. One item was sent back (Brussel sprouts with bacon) because it was so burned.
Only opened for 3 weeks. Still working out the kinks. Food was good. Drinks and service was slow. I would go back
Great service and great food. We had a ribeye and crab legs. Both were perfect.
Try this place, you wont be disappointed.
The owners, manager, bartenders and service staff were very warm, accommodating and attentive.
It was my 1st experience and that was my intent for going. In my interaction with those who tended to my experience was amazing.
My thoughts on the food in conjunction with the cost weren't equally balanced. My Tomahawk steak was more charred a good portion the edges vs such being a crisp sear. My lobster mac & cheese was not incorporated, when it arrived it was more like the noodles sat on top cheese sauce while the lobster was chopped and topped. I believe a cheesier sauce mixed altogether with the lobster may translate the culinary flavors.
There's great potential and given it's newly open there room to improve so that both the service & cuisine balance the price!
It was really amazing and we will go back again. Our waiter was named Deep and he was absolutely marvelous. The General Mgr. also came to our table and personally Thanked us for coming to dine there. The food was really good too. The portions were very generous.
our meal was excellent steaks to die for! Brussels sprouts were delicious. Our waitress was excellent friendly and smiling the general manager came by and talk to us introduced himself to us which was very pleasant! We enjoyed our self to the utmost and will be back in highly recommend everyone try it!
I don't usually write negative reviews but I was so disappointed in my food. All selections were very expensive; my fish dish (without sides) was $38 and it could have come from the freezer of Costco. I chose lobster and crab stuffed sole... there was no lobster and the crab was less than a teaspoon. My $6 side dish of mashed potatoes were watery and flavorless, my $8 broccoli was 4 spears. I understand the challenges of serving fine food in out pandemic times but I can't recommend this venue for many reasons.
I wanted to try a new place. Saw it here on OpenTable. Unfortunately they were not prepared for the amount of people that night. Will have to think about giving them another shout in a few months. Food took too long, dishes were cool to luke warm. A few dishes were taken off the bill but still not enough to make up for the bad food.
Good people but very poor service and cleanliness.
We sat outside and were socially distanced. The food and service were wonderful! We were given extra complimentary food, too! The chef came to speak to us and explained his creative thoughts!
We are always look for new places especially those that serve a blend of Indian and Pakistani cuisine.
We are giving this place 1-star because the food was awesome!
If we could provide negative stars for service, we would give it negative 5-stars! Simply horrible.
1. Water was served but the glass was chipped. Apology was offered but did not seem like she meant it. Bad start to what would turn out to be simply horrible! BAD
2. It took forever for the food to come but we were not in a hurry. So no issue, but the waitress kept coming up and apologizing! GOOD
3. After eternity, the first dish was brought out. No plates. The second dish came out after 5 minutes, still no plates. Reminded them twice! Hassan (one of the owners) apologized but put the blame on the waitress and his excuse "I though the plates were put out". Another 5 minutes for the plates to come out. BAD
4. Two dishes on the table and getting cold. No plates and no Naans (Indian bread). Now the plates show and the naans come just were almost finishing the entrees! WORSE
We were livid! Hassan apologized and offered to discount the meal. Told him that it was upto him. He said he would like to offer 20% off the entire meal.
The bill arrives: first they increased the price of each entree, and then discount only one item on the bill by 20%. Pointed out the error to waitress, she blamed the managers. After 10 minutes, Hassan brings out the bill with the right amounts and discounts, and blames the waitress for her lack of knowledge on how to operate the system!
The food was simply awesome (hats off to the chef!!) but the owners should know that they cannot run a business by blaming their staff for everything. They need to invest in training and creating a culture of excellence.
The food will sell itself but the lack of customer service will close the place down forever!
The team tried hard to make every customer happy.
