Tony Roma's - Perth
Great food great service and even made cocktails not on the menu
Good juicy ribs, friendly service, nice ambience and ventilation. Good for group getherings.
Food was great,
Price was a little high compared to size
Meal service was perfect,
Drink service was average ( drink waitress passed drinks down the table instead of walking to the other side)
I like the old menu with the selection of sides (i.e. corn, potato, beans etc) and the choice of sauces.
Was surprised that the signature baby back ribs were unavailable, but the St Louis ribs and steak panini we had instead were delectable and quickly soothed any disappointment. The dessert menu may appear limited, but trust me it's all good. The skillet cookie in particular is magic. Will be back!
Service was very slow from the get go. Was quite some time before we were even provided some water. Once we ordered my partners main course came out over the course of 5-8 minutes in 3 different parts. My main which was the medallions, I ordered the 240 gram which is 3 medallions. I ordered all the trimmings also, 2 thirds of the medallions came out with some beans and peppered sauce. Once I had finished the plate my 3rd medallion came out with a miserable amount of onions thrown on top. Waitress initially told me this was because a mistake with the order and they thought I ordered the lesser amount. Later a different waitress actually said it was because someone dropped my plate. ( these things happen, the lies and the poor communication is the problem. ) I ordered my steak medium rare, it came out well done. Overall a poor experience for a very expensive meal. A far cry from “ one of the best restaurants in Perth “ as I’ve heard it referred to. Wouldn’t see myself returning or referring.
Change of menu was not to our liking. Lack of the famed chocolate avalanche was a BIG negative!!
Little bit pricey but worth it been there a few times great food
Been there a few times and the ribs never fail to impress, if you enjoy pork baby back ribs then its a must go place whilst in Perth.
Amazing staff, incredible food and a quality experience over all!! Make sure you try the ribs :)
Food was really tasty with good portions, service was really good because of the energetic and enthusiastic servers and overall an amazing experience.
Best ribs in town! Quality service would like to see some european beers on tap.
Our plan was to order starters and desserts. We ordered the macaroni cheese which other than being a little dry wasn't too bad. The loaded potatoes skins were a disgrace. If I were the chef I would have been embarrased to send them out of my kitchen. They were soggy and insanely greasy. The jalapeno poppers had a nice filling but the jalapenos themselves were charred in colour but completely raw otjer than the edges. We didn't stay for dessert.
Great restaurant with friendly attentive service. Really enjoyed the steak and wine 🍷
Good selection of food for kids too. My daughter and I had a wonderful time.
Brilliant food and service. The ribs are amazing. Been several times and always a pleasure
Food was amazing service was lacking would order drinks and wouldn’t come for around 20 mins food was quicker to get than a drink.
Everyone was really friendly and service was prompt. They went above and beyond to make our dining experience awesome and we are definitely going back next time we’re in Perth!
I had a fantastic time. Food,Waitresses,Drink was very good.
I wanna go there again. I wanna use this restaurant on my best friend birthday.
Excellent food and wine options. Lamb ribs & pork ribs were amazing. thank you
Went there for the first time and ordered the ribs, they were dry and even with a steak knife that i had to request it was so hard to cut the meat of the bones. Will not be back again
Havent been to Tony Romas for a while. Was impressed that the baby back ribs still as I remember it last despite the menu looking quite different than I remembered. Coupled with the onion loaf, we had a great meal!
Though i feel that the size of onion loaf has shrunk a lot from before?
Prebooked for our Anniversary, been here many times and already had set in mind what we wanted. When going to order were told out of the Baby back ribs. Noooooo, that is the main reason we go there. How can you not have something you are famous for. Experience was not the same.
Excellent ribs as I have come to expect from any Tony Roma’s restaurant
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The Onion ring and ribs was amazing and the chicken Caesar salad was refreshing. Everyone loved the Cocktail they had. Service was well-timed and friendly, Price is a bit expensive."
RIBS RIBS RIBS!!!! when you want the best ribs anywhere, you must go to Tony Roma's.... We love them.
Too expensive for what you got. Spent $40 on ribs with no sauce and then $2 for extra sauce???? Service was rubbish. Chip portion for ribs was terrible and not fries but thick chips. I have been many times to Tony Roma’s in America. This does not compare.
Great service and food as always, my only negative is being charged for the sauce when ordering a steak, I would of thought that steak sauce would be part of the meal but besides that everything else was great.
Was great - went back 4 days in a row, speaks everything I guess. I liked it
Fantastic food , very full after meal service was great
The ribs were just okay. For somewhere that specializes in them I expected better. Serving size was adequate. Decor seems a little dated now. Banquette seating was not the most comfortable.
Amazing food and people. Little slow with staff for service everything else was great
Okay, it is not a pub avenue, but the prices are set as a 5 start restaurant, which it is not. So food is okay, the place of okay, the price is too high, and you can go to a nicer place and have a much better meal for the price paid.
Fabulous food! Ribs to die for! Went with a large party of 16 & everyone was happy with their meals! I was also super impressed to not be charged cakeage for a birthday cake as lots of restaurants do now! Will definitely be returning! :)
Went to dine on Saturday 30/8.
Noise continue to be an issue at Tony Roma especially when it isbpacked on weekend. You have to raise your voice for converation at your table.
Food maintain at its good consistency.
The waiter for our table provides good service but (the manager/supervisor?) keep coming back and took our extra table and chair away. Not too fussy if they politely say they needed the extra chairs and tables as the restaurant is full, however taking it away without communicating poorly is really bad service, ruin the nice food at the restaurant.
I’ve been here a few times and have to say, service is going downhill. Food is still good as usual, but your staff need ‘updated’
I’ve never seen so many miserable looking staff. I understand it gets very busy, and that can difficult, but if you don’t like your job then get out. Management need to review staff attitudes to the people keeping them in a job. I don’t expect to be treated like a king by any stretch, but reasonable service (ie not waiting 15 minutes for a drink, after 10 minutes trying to order it in the first place and I’d prefer to have to only ask once to get one) I don’t think I was being too demanding. The waitress looked we were really interrupting her day by wanting some food outside the 30 seconds after we got the menu time slot we were allocated! If you’re not a people person don’t be working in a place where your job is to take food/drinks orders then deliver said orders...
Website advised that kids eat free, but management refused to honour advertising promise.
Expensive & unimpressive
Had better ribs at local pub
Not worth it
If you are going before a show make sure you let the staff know. I did at the time of booking and when we got there but our food was still slow to get to us. When we asked where our food was we were told that it’s really busy we’ll have to wait. I told the waitress that I had explicitly stated in our booking that we were going to a show and needed to be out by 7.30 at the latest. Everyone around us that ordered after us received their order before us and our appetiser came out at the same time as our mains but it was too late, we sent it back. As a restaurant you would have been aware of the extra people that would be there for dinner because of the show at RAC arena so you should have catered for that. The food was good but unfortunately because we had to eat really quickly we couldn’t enjoy it.
We waited an hour and 10 minutes for our main meals. My $50 meal was cold. I am pregnant so I can not have cold meat. They made another plate. JUST warm this time. Was cold within 5 minutes. I told the man at the counter and asked if I could get some form of discount as I am very disappointed. He argued with me for about 5 minutes and gave me a meagre 10% discount. I will DEFINITELY never dine here again.
Customer service is very poor
Meals average but overpriced
We won't be returning
