This is one of the most outstanding restaurants in the Eastbay.
First of all, we requested 5:30 pm reservations for outdoors on Thursday.
We were told online that we had to come at 4:30 p.m. outdoors. Why?
Secondly the waiter insisted I have salad instead of the vegetable plate I started to order. The green salad with carrot strips was overly dressed and greasy. This was Thursday not crowded.
First time dining at this lovely spot with excellent service. The food is very good, not spectacular. Prices are a bit high. I'll go back to give it another chance.
Food, drinks, and service are always consistently excellent. Oscar was our server, and he is the best!!
This is where we go to celebrate special occasions and take it of town guests. The food is always delicious. The service is excellent! Warm and friendly atmosphere and you don’t feel rushed. We are fortunate to have Trabocco in our neighborhood.
A very nice Black Friday dinner with my daughter at Trabacco. Giuseppe and Christine are amazing hosts and restauranteurs serving up some fantastic Italian fare at the South Shore Center. Gabriel was our outstanding server and brought us the fried Calamari and grilled Octopus appetizers, both reminded me of my youthful days in Tuscany……..and of course Giuseppe’s hand made Christina pizza named of course after his lovely wife. That’s my favorite pizza of all time!! For our main, my daughter had the Bolognese Fettuccine and I manhandled the Ribeye Steak, perfectly cooked a juicy and tender med/rare. We shared the Zabaione dessert which is another all time favorite only available at Trabacco. So the holidays are here, what better place to entertain friends and family than Trabacco, world-class Italian cuisine right here in Alameda, courtesy of the Naccarelli’s!!!

This restaurant never disappoints. The chef/owner greets everyone and the staff is friendly, attentive and they are great at remembering names and any favorites you may have. The food is excellent and always consistent.
I totally enjoyed every bite of my butternut squash ravioli with brown butter and sage sauce.
The pear salad was good, not a stand out.
Loved the huge plate with Happy Birthday written in chocolate next to the comped Tiramisu!! Waiter also sang happy birthday with me for my friend.
We love this restaurant, unfortunately this time my pasta, gnocchi, was swimming in olive oil, not what I expected. But the zabaglione was delicious.

I drove up from Carmel for a concert and picked the restaurant based on previous OpenTable reviews. I was a bit concerned when I pulled into the Safeway parking lot but once inside I was happy. The food was some of the best Italian food I have had in a long time.
Trabocco never fails as a go to spot for a casual dinner or that special occasion. The service and the food are always top notch and the owner makes you feel right at home.
This is a hidden and fabulous place! I hate to recommend it as it seemed busy enough on a Wednesday evening but, it really is worth finding the location. The food was really good, the service was perfect and the outdoor seating was very comfortable with good heaters.
The food and service are always good. Our server Oscar remembered us from a previous visit and he is outstanding. Love not having to leave Alameda for a really nice meal. Thanks!
We always enjoy great food and great service at Trabocco. I had the grilled salmon with polenta and an arugula salad. That’s a lot of food for lunch so I took it home and enjoyed it today.
Celebrated my Mom’s 90th Birthday at this lovely restaurant. Giuseppe, owner/operator, came by wish personally wished my Mom a “Happy Birthday”! Special touches like this goes a long way! Gracie Giuseppe!
Trabocco is a neighborhood gem… great cocktails, truly delicious and bright Italian dishes and great service. Fresh, fresh, fresh! Easy-going atmosphere set by a warm and responsive staff/team. Super fair prices… caprese… golden beet salad… mimosas… pinko crusted salmon over tomatoes, olives, caper sauce with sautéed spinach and creamy polenta! Wonderful… My new favorite place!
Best restaurant in Alameda, Giuseppe is the best host, he keep his team very engaged and motivated to provide the best service.
I always really enjoy Trabacco, but with the pandemic hadn't been here in a very long time. Although we had an enjoyable lunch, I was slightly disappointed by a couple of things that are easy enough to fix.
The hostess was very nice and accommodating when we weren't sure whether we wanted to sit inside or outside, she showed us our options and we ended up choosing a table outside, and even though the day was a bit cool we were quite warm and comfortable under the heater.
The first thing that was a bit off putting was when that's when the bus person showed up and asked us if we would like bread: yes please! So he put a small stack of plates in front of me, along with silverware rolled up in napkins, and then he took one plate and poured oil and balsamic into it and left, leaving me to distribute the plates and and silverware to the other diners. Not my job.
We waited a short time and our server arrived. He was very delightful and friendly and asked if we would like drinks. Yes please!!
I ordered an Aperol Spritz. It came in the traditional wine glass filled with ice, which began to immediately water down the drink so that it lost its flavor very quickly. That was disappointing. Why so much ice? The only reason to fill a glass that full of ice is to cut down on ingredients. I'd rather have a smaller glass and less ice so that my drink maintains its flavor for more than about 5 minutes.
The chicken and steak salads were absolutely delicious! The coffee after lunch was fresh and delicious as well. The spumoni had a beautiful texture, but tasted strongly of almond extract, which I don't care for.
To sum it up: the food was good, the service was good, with a couple of small disappointments that will not keep me from returning, but I would love to see these things corrected next time I go!

The cocktails and salads were a great way to start our gals night out. Sazeracs were superb as was the octopus salad. The Christina is our favorite pizza and it’s always delicious.
Tiramisu fir our friends birthday with Giuseppe singing was over the top!
four of us, each ordered something different. Squid ink pasta, one of the specials, pasta Bolognese, lasagna and the vegan special. All delicious and would be ordered again. One margarita cocktail, one Arnold Palmer, one ice tea. No desserts because our entrees were very filling. Two of us had to-go boxes. We would all come back and bring friends. A truly wonderful restaurant.
Amazing experience. Friendly staff, the food prepared by the owner Giuseppe is always great. The outdoor dining is nice, and indoor is nicely spaced for comfort and safety. I highly recommend the fire grilled salmon.
Trabocco never fails to delight me. The food is always wonderful and the service is always just right.
The quality of the food and service were excellent. We ate lunch in their outdoor setting which had a giant tent and heaters. We were there to celebrate a 77th birthday and the chef/owner himself came out to serve a complimentary dessert and sang "happy birthday" to us with the staff. Since it is in a shopping center, lots of free parking and other stores to shop at after lunch.

The online menu differed from the menu they gave us. Food was ok..I wasn't that impressed. But the wait staff and the chefs were very nice and pleasant.

Nothing better than a great Italian dinner at Trabocco, courtesy of owner/chef Giuseppe after a busy night of Trick or Treaters. Place was hopping as usual and Gabrielle our very professional Italian server was true to form. They got the best fried calamari here and Giuseppe baked us a fantastic veggie Ortolanno pizza to go along with a nice Bietoie beet salad. We shared the whole Branzino perfectly cooked and seasoned. The desserts including the Panna Cotta and Zabaglione were out of this world!! Prices are still very reasonable and you can’t beat the welcoming atmosphere……..Trabacco is the best in the Bay!!
We had a pleasant evening because of the company of friends. Initially, the outdoor seating was difficult because of a nearby table with multiple children yelling and running around. The waitstaff was pleasant and accommodating but 3 of 4 diners did not find the food special. We shall not return.
Servers were great, as was the food. Service was a little slow.
I love this place. Authentic Italian with a creative flair. The the pizza's are excellent as well.
