Tri Valley Bistro

We stopped here before an 8pm show at the Firehouse Arts Center. They accommodated us promptly and even moved us to a table (we were at the bar). Service was excellent and would come here again. We determine how much we like a restaurant based on their fried calamari. We like the light crispy texture of the calamari. My husband had the sea bass, which was generously portioned. I had the butternut squash which was al dente - I really liked the sauce that accompanied it.

Did not have time for dessert, maybe next time.

Love this place. It’s wonderful on all fronts. Great food, wonderful service and nice comfy ambiance. I love the music they play as well. I am now a regular.

Cute little place in downtown Pleasanton. Nice ambiance. No full bar. Four of the five diners ordered the ribeye steak. Three of the steaks had to be sent back because they were so gristly. They were very nice about it and replaced the steaks with another selection. Scallops and halibut were good.

Great noise level so it is easy to have a conversation

Brought a very special friend for lunch. The food was amazing and fresh tasting. The quantity and quality were excellent. Our waitress/owner was outstanding. We’ve only been there a few times but she always remembers the wine I like, a sweet Riesling. We’ll be back soon!

This my go to lunch restaurant when I have a friend visit from another town. The food is always delicious and the service is the best in Pleasanton.

We had a party of 8 for a special occasion. About 50 min to get food and 1/2 of the dishes were cold. Restaurant was 80% empty and waiter had minimal visits to our table....didn't check how food was or we would have sent a few back. Very sad as we had liked this place in the past. Not sure what happened?

The food was great as always. Our server was a little difficult to hear. She spoke very softly. Other than that we enjoyed our experience! We will definitely be back.

It is always outstanding experience - the food is great, super fresh ingredients, quick and very warm and pleasant service. Hava is a very nice and friendly hostess.

A small quiet Bistro with excellent cuisine, this restaurant is located right on Main Street and we had no trouble finding street parking. the service was very friendly and accommodating. The food is not only delicious, but beautifully served!

LOVE Tri-Valley Bistro. The Seared Scallops over Black Risotto is to die for! The service is always personable and impeccable! What a gem of a restaurant in downtown Pleasanton! We come over from Livermore at least once a month. It's one of our favorite places to dine!

Had a party of three and enjoyed a front window seat which we had requested when making our reservation. The bistro seating is fine for couples. The service and food very good. A bit pricey but for a special occasion worth it.

Our second visit. We came back because first time we really liked the creative menu and the quality of the food. This time I had the scallops served over a wild rice mushroom bed. It was fantastic. Scallops were tasty and tender. The mushroom rice was very flavorful. Loved it.

Also like the fact that they serve almost all their wines by the glass. Lots of choices.

Highly recommended. At first the 'Bistro' part of the name turned us off. But this is fine dining! If you love good food, go try it.

Wonderful food, easy and attentive service, and simple atmosphere of casual dinner and conversation. I wish I could eat here regularly, but sadly it’s a considerable drive for me.

This is one of my absolute favorite place. I often go and have lunch or dinner. We celebrate friend’s birthday, too... They are very accommodating. They let us stay after they close if we are still eating and chatting. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

I was told about this local spot by my Lyft driver, and what a treat it was. I had salmon which was prepared with a Mediterranean sauce cooked perfectly. My other two colleagues had the fettuccine served with large sautéed prawns, and the chicken Florentine. All were exceptional meals.

A quaint establishment that offers a nice selection of options. We were extremely happy with the Sautéed Brussels and Grilled Vegetable Farro Salad!

We enjoyed our recent visit to Tri Valley Bistro with a few friends. Everyone that had the lemon chicken soup were thrilled with it. My husband and I shared the prawn appetizer, which consisted of 4 very large prawns wrapped in prosciutto and sitting on a gorgonzola cream sauce. I opted for a lighter entree (beet salad with chicken) very fresh and the chicken was juicy. My husband had the rib eye which was cooked to the proper temp request and so tender. The mashed could use some work, not quite enough butter and cream but all in all the whole meal was delicious. Save room for the creme brulee so rich and creamy enough for 2.

First time at this restaurant. First impression was positive, interior updated, fresh and modern. Service was great. They must have noticed me unwrapping a birthday gift and brought a piece of cake with a candle. Food was excellent. Overall a very nice experience.

Had a burger - it was terrible; frozen patty, lousy bun - it's not hard to make a good burger so that seems like a huge miss.

Always delicious with great service.
