My server was amazing we celebrated my daughter’s 7th birthday and the service was great they even gave her a card and our server helped us take pictures. Food was great as well.
Food was delicious! We opted to dine outside but wish we would have known the tables weren’t covered. It was scorching hot with no shade so I hope they make better accommodations for future customers who prefer to dine outside especially with the COVID situation. Customer service was very good though.
The food is always good at Tupelo Honey. The problem now is the lack of shade at the outside tables. During this time many diners opt for outside seating. At Tupelo Honey be prepared to have very little shade. There is exactly ONE umbrella for all the tables outside. You would think the restaurant could provide diners a bit of shade while enjoying brunch. Sadly, our experience was not great due to sitting at a high top table in the blazing sun. I would think they could do better.
Loved that they were taking extra precautions with Covid. They handled it very well and our small group felt very safe. Plus $3 mimosas!
It was amazing! Great brunch area, practiced safe distancing and sanitation was clear. Thanks so much for the experience!
Host and server were both very kind and fast!
The food came out fast and the waiter was attentive. I saw that they were following Covid-19 protocols nicely. My only complaint was that I wish they had more umbrellas setup outside. It was extremely hot, that my silverware would get hot. Some more shade would make me want to go during the day more.
My daughter just moved to Arlington and raves about this local establishment and she was spot on .
Went to dinner on their patio, post re-opening. Numerous changes to address cleaning/sanitizing tables and spaces after use have been implemented to make guests feel safe. Food was still just as great. Looking forward to going back again!
The waiter was very slow coming to our table to take our order. We didn’t know the kitchen closed at 8 and he came to the table after 8 to tell us this. Luckily we still got to order. However, we ordered pancakes and he brought French toast. We didn’t say anything because he already mentioned the kitchen was closed. I don’t think I’d come back here anytime soon.
Staff was NOT the friendliest I ordered 6 frozen rose’s the 1st set came with cherries which was a nice touch the second time it did not which was fine for our third round we requested cherries again as this was already given to us and the women behind the bar was EXTREMELY rude, gave us a dirty looks and said she did not have cherries& this is not something they do forgetting the fact that I received cherries with the first round and 2 mins before that I watched drinks being made for other guest with cherries, someone also came over not sure who they are or what they do in the restaurant but he gave us a poor mediocre excuse as to why we aren’t able to have cherries 10 seconds later WITH A ATTITUDE I must add the bartender has someone drop cherries off when she just looked us in our face and said she did not have any.. this was something so simple and small that could of been done to please the customer instead of being nice and accommodating we had to have the bartender along with some of the staff being argumentative with us.. even if this was something that I did not have what is a cherry to argue with a customer even if I wanted to purchase them. Not trying to say it was a race thing but the bartender was EXTREMELY RUDE.. gave us dirty looks rolled her eyes and was not friendly but yet everyone around us received the drinks with proper garnish’s and respect. The food was very good great deals but due to the service I wouldn’t return and I would not recommend this plac. I also left on my check that all guest deserve the same experience, it also does not help that I am in the restaurant industry as well, so receiving rude service from a employee is NEVER pleasant before you racially profile guest you should consider who they may be or what field they are in Especially during this pandemic we wanted to spend money but after receiving that service we quickly left Keep in mind this was expressed on my check but of course no one reached about this which is sad
Remarkable service! Amazing food! Delightful environment! I highly recommend that you make a reservation, as this is a highly sought after venue- and rightfully so. I want to send a special “thank you so much” to the manager, Ryan, who always went above and beyond to accommodate our reservation, unexpected tardy guests, or any other needs. We appreciate all that you do every visit to keep operations in the dining area smooth and keep customers satisfied. We see you- and appreciate that so much!
Food was good but wait staff were terrible. Everyone was in a bad mood and it was clear nobody wanted to be there. Also, had a reservation and asked for outside seating and was denied for “walk ins” who were promptly seated there which was annoying. Inside felt like a chain restaurant, was not personal and was seating in the way of others which during covid seemed unnecessary. Quantity of food was not as expected for the price although it tasted good. Overall, would not return on my own but would consider if invited by others.
The food is delicious. The service was great. The restaurant is immaculate.
Went for Father's Day and first post-COVID brunch with the family. The food and service were good. The sweet potato pancakes were delicious (although very sweet - they can pass as a dessert), the mimosa was strong, and portions were filling. The waitress was kind although she seemed a little frazzled - to be expected after many weeks out of the "office." There was a designated "health team" that frequently disinfected high touch areas, and directional signs to minimize traffic flow. Overall a good brunch experience.
Amazing! Food was delish and the restaurant is so cute inside. Would go again in a heartbeat!
This is one of our favorite restaurants for brunch. They have the best food and did an amazing job reopening after Covid-19.
The food was amazing. We got the chicken and biscuits and veggie burger and ate all of it. We tried the blueberry sparkling punch which was super delicious. Our waiter was accommodating and friendly and helpful.
The food here is always good. The portion is not a typical "fill-to-the-brim" type heavy brunch place, but I personally like that better. The service can get a little bit frustrating, given the usual weekend brunch crowd (before Covid), but that's ok as long as you make a reservation beforehand. I remember the happy hour/ dinner is definitely less crowded, and the happy hour food was also good with some nice deals, so would recommend that as well.
Great atmosphere and friendly service. Took social distancing and PPE seriously here which was appreciated.
This was the BEST fried chicken I’ve had in years in the DC metro area. I got the honey dusted dark meat fried chicken and my husband got the white meat. Both juicy and flavorful meat on the inside and on the outside a perfectly crispy and perfectly seasoned skin. This is what will bring us back again and again.
Also, employees appeared to be following COVID safety guidelines and we were comfortable seated far away from other customers. Thumbs up.
It was great!
Quiet outdoor seating! Great service and amazing food. Nothing too expensive....made for a great escape from quarantine!
I had sweet and spicy fried chicken sandwich and it was delicious. The perfect combination of sweet and spicy. My date had friend chicken and French toast which was delicious too. We sat outside. Service was friendly and fast.
Delicious food as always. Still weird post-Covid, but it was a beautiful day for an alfresco brunch.
Absolutely fantastic service and succulent dishes. Every single time.
Under the current conditions they afe doing s very good job. Food came out quick. Im happy they are using the online meu which is an idea I think they should stick with going forward. The food is ok it not anything to rave about. I had tge meat loaf the sauce on top made it a little salty. I had the honey margarita and it was good.
Southern fried chicken - amazing. But, should get more than 2 pieces for the price. Fried pickles - excellent. Overall, loved everything about this restaurant and would definitely go back.
Had a wonderful time with my boyfriend. Food was great
The umbrellas were broken. Only 9ne server. Brussels sprouts were cold. Had to ask for water and more napkins repeatedly. Fried chicken is way too salty. Would go back just for fried green tomatoes and collard greens
The weather was perfect for outdoor dining , the food was great, and my date was a perfect gentleman! We both enjoyed our visit and will definitely return.
Good food, cheap drinks, great service. We ate here during the social distancing setup, and made a reservation. Let them know that we were running 15 minutes late and they assured us our table would not be given away. They seated us when we got there, and were extremely friendly throughout the entire meal. Were very thorough in their staffs social distancing policy. The patio was full, but they 100% adhered to social distancing. Didn’t see a frown in the place. Has been a local favorite for a while, but I was glad to see so many patrons come out to support them and enjoy the food during these tough times.
Welcome back Tupelo Honey! You did us right out on the patio tonight—thx!
Tupelo Honey has done an excellent job re-opening the patio of the restaurant during these difficult times. The food and service were still up to their excellent standards. Among other policies to protect their customers, they are using a QR Code menu. My wife and I will definitely be going back.
Reservations are required right now to get a table.
Even with the required changes to how restaurants serve, Tupelo did an excellent job of making the dining experience enjoyable.
Service was so friendly and safe! Food was delicious but my husbands chicken portion was rather small for the cost. We will return for sure. Fried green tomatoes were the bomb. I enjoyed being outside and being spaced far enough apart from others that we felt safe (from virus).
Everything was great as always! They practiced social distancing and took our needs into consideration. We’ll be back for brunch again!
Had the Shoo mercy griddle; French toast eggs fried chicken and bacon. Veeery delicious.. Good value.
