As always the Tuscan didn't disappoint. Great meal, great service, great place.
The ambiance was excellent. The service was excellent. The bread was some of the best I’ve had in a while & the food tasted great but I left hungry which frustrated me after a long day of skiing, driving & spending $100 on dinner.
I had a wonderful experience! Great food, great service amazing place to eat. I do currently have a discrepancy with the bill that I am trying to resolve.
Great lunch! Wonderful service!
New Years Day tradition
Delicious food, setting was lovely. Sever could have been a bit more attentive.
New year’s Eve dinner. Went early. Not very busy. Dirty bread plates greeted us at the table. Server’s thumb found it’s way into the olive oil. Caesar salad came with no anchovies. Had to ask for them. Cheese plate was very good. Was told the shrimp scampi was mildly spicy. Found it a little more than that. Cooked perfectly tho. Dessert selection came 20 mins after getting coffee. Needed coffee freshened up. Everything else was very good. Overall, Expected the experience to be a little more special. It had been a while so I will try them again eventually.
Really nice place. Very nice people working there. Yummy food. Fancy buy not stuffy. if you are reading this review and have never been there, you should check it out.
Great restaurant and delicious Italian food. I’ve been there several times and have enjoyed each visit.
Entrees are sub par for gourmet Italian restaurant.
It was both of our birthday lunch, 12/25 & 12/27 and haven’t seen each other in 6 months. We both wanted the prime ribs but was told they didn’t have any for that day. That was the main reason for wanting to dine there. So we ordered the next two steak meals on the menu. The Tagliata was so salty I couldn’t enjoy. I’m not sure if the flavor is supposed to be like that but it was too salty for my liking. The Veal Porterhouse was better. The drinks were extremely delicious and service was wonderful. Next time before I go I will call in first to see if they everything on the menu.
Our waitress was the best we have ever had to date at this restaurant! My wife and I commented more than once to each other. Really completed the dining experience it was a perfect night out.
Christopher was the most amazing server, always attentive, filling glasses, checking in on us. We never felt rushed and truly enjoyed the night out. Food was delicious.
The service was fantastic, as it usually is here. The food was a little disappointing unfortunately. We are used to having an incredible meal normally and it fell short of the mark this time.
Delicious food, excellent service from Jen. Special requests before arrival were spot on. The restaurant took extensive covid precautions. Looking forward to going back.
The service was excellent the food is always amazing please don’t change anything
Food and service was fabulous. There were a lot of people there. Some people did not wear their mask in areas were they should have since they were not eating or drinking at the time. Did not appreciate that. Also had musician that night and thought that was strange since it is a restaurant and it was around 7pm so it was kind of hard to hear the people I was with. But still enjoyed the experience even with the little exceptions.
My experience was outstanding from the moment I entered n service was fabulous definitely five star
We have dined at Tuscan many times and always loved it - Went the other night (Monday) to meet friends (we drove an hour north and they drove an hour south to go) and was incredibly disappointed. Our server was so so at best - not very attentive. Food was equally so so - gnocchi undercooked, veal overcooked, shrimp overcooked. When it was time to be served, they "handed" us our plates across the table - not the kind of service one would expect from a finer dining establishment Overall, not a great experience at all - disappointing. We'll try again now that we are back on the east coast, but they need to step it up a bit...
The restaurant was nice and service was good. The food was pretty good but very overpriced.
The service, cleanliness, atmisphere, and drinks were great (good mixed drink and good beer selection). Everyone working there has your enjoyment in mind. The apps were great, especially the grilled octopus. The chicken was also top notch. Unfortunately the salmon was ordered rare and wasn't even medium rare - over cooked. Could have sent it back but didn't feel like waiting. Usually I would not mention but I had this same experience there before. Dessert gelato was very tasty as was the cappuccino.
Really nice atmosphere and not too noisy. Benefits of arriving right when they open. Staff was friendly and not “pushy” to take our order or get us out of our table.
Awesome as always
We were celebrating 54 years of marriage and were placed near the bar. It was the middle of the week so we did not think to ask for a different seating. It was loud.
Good restaurant. Especially at bar.
Everything was excellent - we met our daughter and her partner who live in MA for dinner. This was done as a last-minute alternative to our original plans of dinner and a show in Boston. Was a little sad to see how quiet things were in light of the current state of affairs but perhaps it made it that much more special to get together.
Our server was curt & discourteous after i asked about specific liqueurs. It was clear she was not interested in serving individual desires
A bit noisy
Our server could have been more attentive
Prices are okay
Food was fresh
We were sat in the lounge area at a high top table which I thought was strange as we had reservations. We were greeted by our server which we didn’t catch her name (mature woman). She was pleasant and gave us time to settle in our table. She asked if we preferred regular water or bottled which is nice.
She turned with the bottle and served us while telling us about the evening special which was a Filet with chive mashed potatoes, Demi, and tri-colored carrots with truffle butter over top. She did not mention the price.
Service was pleasant but nothing out of the ordinary. She was attentive and checked in with us through out our dining experience.
The food we ordered was tasty but again nothing special. When our entrees arrived which we both ordered the filet special, we cut into them as requested by our server and they were cooked perfectly. However; the plating was sloppy. Mashed potatoes had zero body and was quite loose and just spread out over the plate, Demi didn’t help the runny consistency either. Tri-color carrots were cut into plain disks or chunks and didn’t offer any eye appeal. For the price we paid for 2 specials that ran up as $96 so $48 approximately each. The plating was not at all thoughtful or deliberate, just seemed like food slapped onto the plate and a filet set over top.
The flavor of everything was delicious and cooked to a perfect Med rare. But the presentation fell short. Service was good and attentive. Atmosphere was as to be expected in the lounge area. Bathrooms were clean and stocked. Overall our experience was a good one and we will be back for another visit in the future.
Food quality was poor— food was cold and overcooked
Price was high for portion size
Service was good
Will not return
Pleasant waitstaff, good food and comfortable surroundings made for a pleasant get together for friends.
It’s always delicious, great atmosphere, diverse Italian menu, great app choices, large wine list. We will continue to go back as a favorite spot (both Burlington and Salem)
We had a great dinner. Our food was delicious and the service was very good. Highly recommended. Their pricing is a little high but overall it was a s great experience.
Wonderful, they came over to grate cheese and cook pasta in front of us. Amazing
Had a wonderful birthday dinner for my husband. Our server, Chris, was excellent. The food was great. It was a delightful evening from start to finish.
At our last visit to the Tuscan Kitchen we had a horrible experience. The management recognized it and gave us a gift certificate to return. We waited a few months and gave it another shot. While it was better this time, there were still multiple issues. The service was what I would expect at a franchise restaurant (Applebees, TGIF, etc) not an upscale establishment.
The waitress was nice and pleasant, but service was poor and the food was good, but over priced. We started the evening ordering a couple sodas, received a soda water that the waitress thought was Sprite/Sierra Mist (the soda machine needed to be "refilled"). We pointed this out to the waitress immediately, but it took nearly 20 minutes for the mistake to be fixed. We were promised bread and oil when we sat down, but it never arrived. We had to ask the server for the bread (again) when our appetizer arrived (kinda late at that point in time). I mentioned this to the server and she must have told the manager because he came over to talk to us. He did his best to make sure the rest of the evening went smoothly, and he did right by us by comping the appetizer and our dessert.
As far as ambiance goes, the three EMT's assisting a patron in the middle of the dining room did not make for good atmosphere.
I really enjoyed my dinner while at The Tuscan Kitchen. Food, service, and atmosphere were even better than expected. Certainly plan on returning, and thanking my friend for the recommendation.
The three of us had dinner and as always it was delicious. We were seated quickly, they had taken care of our wheelchair accessible request quickly and easily.
We all enjoyed dinner and dessert then walked over the the market to pick up macaroons, biscotti, and handmade pasta to bring home with us. We will definitely continue to frequent this restaurant.
Food was very good. About as good Italian as you can get anywhere — outside of Italy, of course! Would have liked to have seen a few more authentic Italian dishes such as a Sorrento gnocchi or perhaps a squid ink pasta or one with a nice North Italy white sauce or perhaps a fresh pesto pasta served with the catch of the day as in many Italian locales. Ricotta pie is also a classic dessert that would be a welcome addition.
It was a Monday early evening and the restaurant was fairly empty based on that alone we thought the service would be crisp. What we experienced was slow service and not very attentive. Our wait person did not even remember to bring our antipasti! We frequent the Tuscan Kitchen in Boston and the Salem NH establishment could learn a few lesson from them. After our meal we stopped over at the Tuscan store and the quality of the food needs to be looked at because it can not compete with the quality in Boston and doesn’t warrant the high prices charged.
