Great atmosphere, reservations were on time, place was very busy but handles sound very well. Both dinners were very tasty and we'll presented, but on the expensive end of the price spectrum.
Very friendly staff and no "cattle rush" to get you in and out. Nice place for a date or special not out.
It was very good. First time too
I think the food and atmosphere are good, but it is quite pricy for what you actually get. Also, the bathrooms on the lower level are tough to get to and not that nice for such a pricy restaurant. Just my opinion. Service was excellent.
Our server was personable and attentive. Food was great!
Everything was great except that we excitedly sat in front of the kitchen at the bar, and the entire time had to watch the most unhappy, charmless woman slowly - and boy do I mean slowly - do her job. I know it’s a tough job market, but I’d suggest if you have an open concept to putting someone vastly different in front of customers. She was truly horrible in every way, and I mean that as constructive feedback. Everything else there was great, and always is.
Great food and awesome service
Wonderful as usual. We've been here many times and we have always enjoyed our experiences at Tuscan Kitchen.
The food is way over priced for its taste. the service is fine but the prices are ridiculous. I don't even think the food taste good.
We had a very nice time. Our waiter was great. It was a perfect way to celebrate a birthday on wine Wednesday!
Always excellent food. Our server (Jaysa?) was very helpful and understanding when one of our party was very late and we waited to order. This is a great place for people who love real Italian food and an excellent option for a gathering of friends.
We have eaten here before & thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Unfortunately that was not the case in this instance. We ordered a salad to start. Also ordered a glass of wine. After waiting a long time the main course arrived. We told them to take it back & bring us the salad & drinks. They finally brought our salad and subsequently served our meal. The food was overcooked (salmon the sweet potatoes were soaked in oil or butter & almost burnt. The steak was like warm and very fatty.
I had the salmon two weeks before and it was fantastic. We had the same salad & they split it for us (not a big deal) we had to ask for plates . Overall it was extremely disappointing.
Came here New Year ‘s Eve waited 15 minutes before waitress shows up at our table waited another 15+ for our drinks we literally sat across from bar ordered apps the apps were the best part of the night I ordered chicken parm I have had chicken parm at a takeout place and put yours to shame it was burnt and dry as a bone my wife ordered shrimp scampi absolutely tasteless my wife makes it better at home ordered wine before dinner never arrived till 15+ minutes after getting our meal Very dissapointed to say the least and to pay such an absorbent price for all of this I will definitely go elsewhere for much better Italian food that we had this evening to start of 2020 was a huge dissapointment
We love Tuscan kitchen! The food is always amazing!
My third bad experience there.
Very bad acoustics, can’t converse well w friends.
My order came wrong.
Awful bathroom, have to go to a dingy basement down a long flight of stairs.
Overrated, poor quality overpriced.’
Will never go back!
Food is mediocre. I keep coming back in hopes to be impressed. Has yet to happen. We had gift cards to use so I was hoping to be impressed. For a fine Italian restaurant there are better out there. The calamari was very good and tender being the best part of our meal. Our dinners though didn’t leave much to desire. The short rib ravioli was bland and the filling was puréed with no actual rib meat. I have had these short rib stuffed pasta at other Italian restaurant and it was meat inside with sauce you want to soak up with the bread after. My significant other had the Rigatoni allá bolognese which again was not much for the palate. The price was a bit over the top for the quality and quantity. 6 ravioles for $28 and no sides was a bit much. So for 2 entrees, 1 app, 1 dessert, 2 espressos and 2 soft drinks it was $110 before tip. That’s with no alcohol beverages either.

Went to Tuscan Kitchen in Salem, NH for the first time last night, there were 4 of us. We had a generous gift card of $150.00 which was why we went. The bill was $224.00 and we had one appetizer to share 2 salads and one bottle of white wine. The table for 4 was so crowded. It was so noisy we really couldn’t talk without practically yelling. Service was weird .. took forever to get the one bottle of wine we ordered. Our waitress came over several times saying it was coming. It finally came and she proceeded to discuss the menu like it was a best seller book. Suggesting dishes and ways to order ... that was odd. It’s not like we’ve never dined before. Several different waitstaff brought olive oil with olives..very good but the bread took forever to come. The menus were huge with very little to pick from..no sides..each dish came with its own sides. We ordered all different dishes. One had the Wild Boar in ragu with gnocchi. There was very little Boar and the gnocchi was mushy and tasteless. One ordered the lobster raviolis it came with pretty much nothing hardly no sauce..very bland. One order chicken parm it was ok the pasta however was hardly cooked and it was cold. The last ordered the sirloin steak..the size was so small it would have past for a children’s menu item. The best part was the bread. Needless to say we probably won’t go back.
We enjoyed a birthday celebration for my son at Tuscan Kitchen in Salem, NH. Our table was ready upon our arrival and we were promptly seated. Service was excellent. Food was outstanding. The round booth for 5 was a bit of a challenge for party members to enter and exit to use the rest rooms requiring the table to be slid back and forth. Incredible Crème Brule's and Cappuccino's to get lost in the froth!!Memorable evening!
Everything was first class. Beautiful setting and amazing authentic Italian food. Our server Jaysa was particularly helpful and friendly.
Great service, nice place for a family post Christmas celebration
My friend loves to go here! This is the one place she eats all the food and is not picky. So we decided to go a Friday evening after 5pm. It was busy but not overly crowded. We got seated in a quiet corner of the restaurant which is great because I hate restaurants where you have to yell at each other to converse. The waitress was super nice and not overbearing. No appetizer for me but my friend ordered the calamari which she loved! I ordered a lovely cocktail, sicilian spritz which was strong but oh so worth it! For main course, I ordered the mushroom ravioli which were absolutely delicious! Perfect filling and sauce and just enough of everything. My friend ordered the veal rib porterhouse which she loved as well. Dessert was delicious too. The bill was pricey but we go there once in a while to treat ourselves, so it’s totally worth it. Will definitely go there again!
Meals took over an hour and we received the wrong meals. No
We made early reservations for a Christmas Eve dinner. We were seated on time and our drinks arrived promptly. The server came to the table to inquire about our food order . We had a few questions, were told that they were out of the chicken dish my husband wanted (at 5:00 PM). He asked about some of the other menu items and decided on a pizza. The server left without asking about ordering salads or appetizers! We never saw her again until someone else put our dinners on the table. So much for a salad! The server came back to ask how are entrée's were then took the bread basket away. Okay, I guess I didn't want bread with my dinner either? Hubby finished his pizza before I was done with my very delicious salmon. Miss Speedy tried to take away my entrée along with hubby's empty plate. Were they in a hurry to get rid of us? Both of us ordered sorbet for dessert. Hubby, again finished before me and the server was able to whisk away my sorbet before I was even half way through eating it. Our bill, with the tip was $105.00. Very pricey for half of a meal and getting the bums rush out the door. We won't be coming back to Tuscan Kitchen anytime soon.
Love the ambience... all was fabulous.
I love this town and all that Joe Farro is doing for it...
Something was very off about the waitress. It was Christmas Eve lunch and yet not a wish for a happy holiday! I worked later that day into Christmas as a first responder so that was supposed to be a special afternoon for us to celebrate! Instead, I feel like she was a bunch of bah humbug! We waited probably 15 -20 minutes for table water and 30 for table bread. It was so long that we almost got up and left. It was like our waitress went AWOL! We had a two person table next to the kitchen and waiter register area which was super noisy and distracting. Baaaah humbug!
Katie was an excellent waitresses- we really enjoyed spending our evening with her!
We went for a family lunch at noon. There were very few diners there at the time and it took 2 hours for our meal to be served. The wait was absolutely ridiculous and our server did not have a clue about anything. Waiting two hours for an average meal is not worth it.
We've been here before, so we knew the drill. Food was fine. However, the server spilled olive oil onto
the left sleeve and back of my coat. Cleaning it today didn't really remove the stains, although the oil
is gone. No big deal; an old coat.
Great meal! Had the half roasted chicken and it was amazing. I would go back again. Also tried an espresso martini at the bar after dinner and it was very good.
Food is great. Brought my girlfriend here for our anniversary.
The food was average for the price,
the waitress was very good but her
support staff was lazy.
I will not be back anytime soon
Never served the salad.
Pasta was starchy/overcooked
I expected my food to be better, my pasta was undercooked and clumped my chicken dry and my mother’s pasta was the same. Our server was absolutely amazing!!!
Thanksgiving family meal. Excellent food, good service, in a warm upscale interior.
Appreciated the staff working on Thanksgiving. There were minor issues with having to ask for things that should have been provided. The food came out quicky. The Aranchi was just okay. Bland.
The turkey dinner was great. The bolognese serving is far too small for the price.
We love Tuscan Kitchen which is why we chose it for thanksgiving dinner. The turkey dinner was absolutely delicious, but the portion size was the smallest amount I’ve ever seen!
We will continue to dine at Tuscan Kitchen, but should we choose it again for Thanksgiving, we’ll ask for three dinners divided onto two plates.
I’ve eaten at this restaurant before and always had a good experience. Was there two years ago for Thanksgiving and had a very good meal. This Thanksgiving my plate when delivered looked like the kitchen was running out of food. I got two thin slices of turkey, about 5 small cubes of squash, no more than a tablespoon of dressing and a big dollop of mashed potatoes. The food was all on one half of the plate, which made it look even more pitiful than it was. The food tasted good, but... My companion had the salmon which looked and tasted great.
after they sat us down we waited over 20 minutes before I wave at a waitress. she came over and said that she would wait on us. my favorite wine is white zifindel they had none.My girl friend and I both ordered turkey dinners the amount of food on our plates was the size of a apple.very unsatisfied will never go there again. our check was 138.00 and we came all the way from concord nh
We had a lovely welcome home dinner on the night before Thanksgiving. The service was very good and the meal was very very good. TBH the last couple of times we have had dinner at the Tuscan Kitchen we haven't been super thrilled with the meal but the current menu is fabulous and the restaurant has moved back up to the top of our list as a favorite.
