Food was ok. Nothing really wowed us.. Steak bites were a bit overcooked, Wings were good.. Ribs were good but sauce was a bit overwhelming. Fries were lukewarm to cold. Server wasn't very attentive even though the place really wasn't crowded on the restaurant side.
Great food. Will definitely go back!!
Delicious as always!! One of my favorites!! Service was wonderful too!
Large dining space with attentive servers. Lots of menu items
Entrees served with 2 sides and a salad, which were very generous. I would definitely return.
Previously had only eaten lunch at Twin Arch Tavern so knew sandwiches and salads would be good. Expectations were surpassed. We all had a seafood dish: highly recommend.
We ate outside and our server, Danny was very pleasant and accommodating with making adjustments to our lunch orders. My friend's roll with crabcake was stale and my coleslaw had way too much mayonnaise. Since reopening under new management, the new owners need to step up their game to match the former owners. But I would definitely give them time to be able to do that. It's a tough business but you can tell they are trying and they are in a great location.
OK dining experience; crab cakes have too much filler
just really delightful - restaurant separate from the bar area - keeps noise now
very caring professionals serving - we had Lilly - met the bar person also - treated us like valuable guests....our first time!!!!!!
we will be back soon.........................
clean - safe important these days
thanks Twin Arch!!!
Had a good business lunch with Grilled Chicken Caesar's and Chicken over the Strawberry & Feta Salad...everyone liked their food. Good service...will eat there again.
Very good personal service and honored our request for a quiet place in back of restaurant
We waited too long to make a Father's Day dinner reservation so there were almost no restaurants in the greater Frederick area that had any availability at 7pm, other than Twin Arch in Mt Airy. When we arrived the place was all but empty -- bad sign. We didn't sit at the bar but could see it from the host stand and from our table; very attractive spot that I could see myself enjoying a beer at. It's a very welcoming restaurant with an almost homey feel, and the service was very prompt and friendly, so no complaints there. The food was a disaster though. My wife went for soup and salad: cream of crab tasted good but could have been warmer; wedge came with store-bought or foodservice dressing, unforgivable in my book. There was a fairly long list of specials for the night, one of which was the "King cut" prime rib that I ordered with green beans, fries and a Caesar salad. Store-bought or foodservice dressing again on the salad; green beans nicely seasoned but limp; fries were good. The prime rib was probably the worst piece of meat I've been served in a restaurant in a long time, maybe ever. Prime rib is supposed to be cut from a whole roast, so it should have a nice dark crust on the edges but clean pink beef on the "face." Not so at Twin Arch; what I got looked more like an overdone ribeye steak, and not a very good one at that. It was so fatty and tough as to be mostly inedible. Somehow my request for medium was interpreted by the kitchen as medium-well tending toward well done. No au jus or horseradish cream, which in my opinion are non-negotiable when serving a prime rib. When the server came with our check, she saw that my plate was 75% uneaten but she didn't ask why; I would guess that she's had her share of complaints about the terrible prime rib and didn't need to hear about it again. What a disappointment. I wasn't expecting a Morton's experience, but I also wasn't prepared for anything quite this bad. I know Mt Airy can do better!
Some suggestions: Put some chopped fruit in Sangria. Add White Sangria to menu. Everything was served together- salad with entree, Soup with fries and stuffed mushrooms. Pizza was very good but no plate offered initially.
Stuffed mushrooms were ok but, and I understand the issues with cost of crab meat, a better quality of crab meat would be good. Tasted like claw meat. French onion soup was very good as was the salmon dish with risotto.
I do like the menu better than before. More variety and traditional at least to me it seemed. Staff very good- pleasant, attentive and not hovering (which is good to me!)
Three couples were celebrating my husband's birthday, and we chose Twin Arches because we had always had a great experience before it changed owners. Coming from PA, we were delighted that the experience was well worth the trip! Our server was delightful and attentive. We each ordered an entree, and all of them were delicious. It was also a nice surprise that the new owners kept some of the same items on the menu, especially the Cosmo. Nothing would have made our dining experience better. We will definitely be back.
Our first time venturing out to a restaurant maskless. The new management kept the existing menu, which was excellent to begin with. My rueben was perfect and other diners enjoyed their steaks.
Food was cold. Chicken dry. Never received bread or appetizers. Staff clueless.
We went for Mother’s Day and really enjoyed our meal. The food was delicious. We had the crab cakes, scallops, rockfish, surf and turf, and dessert. The portions were generous. A shout out to our server Dani. She does a fabulous job and is an asset to the restaurant.
The experience was not great as our meals (omelets) were undercooked and the server was trying really hard but the place was clearly not ready for Mother's day. We were the second party to arrive at 9am (when they opened) and coffee was not ready and the prep work was not done. The server claimed they did not plan to be so busy. This place has great dinners but we will not go back for brunch.
Cream of Crab never disappoints! Our party of 4 had a burger, crispy chicken sandwich and Cilantro Lime Chicken Salad in addition to the soup. Everything was delicious, server was pleasant and followed up without being intrusive. Restaurant was clean as always. Looking forward to our next visit!
We came to Twin Arch Tavern specifically because they were the only Mt. Airy restaurant week restaurant with vegan options. Their food was perfect. Our family is so happy there is FINALLY a restaurant in Mt. Airy that recognizes there are vegans and vegetarians here, too. It was wonderful eating something besides pizza and their vegan crabcakes were awesome. They also cook asparagus better than any we have ever had!
My wife and I very much enjoyed our experience. If I could give half a star, I'd have given it 4.5. The salmon wasn't done quite how I like it, but everything else was superb. Good value, and we will definitely return.
Visited this resturant a couple of months ago first time had a great meal. The food here is fantastic, the service is outstanding and the portions are big. Had to come back for more. Recommended it to friends and family. ENJOY!
